I had an intersting fix beforehand. Soemtimes if I started SKSE with steam not launched yet, Steam would launch into admin mode, making me able to play. So I've had the problem on and off, and i finally put two and two together last night. If SKSE failed to load, the game's most recent save was a really old one. If SKSE Loaded, the save was the correct one. Turns out my real most recent saves were under users/admin

Just figured out my issue. I need to run steam as administrator too.

Oh god, I had this same problem and it took me weeks to figure out. You are running SKSE_Loader as admin, correct? Launch Steam as Admin too. BTW, I JUST figured this out last night. I made pretty much this same thread a few weeks ago.

I even watched that vid, and I did everything correctly. Put the DLLs and the EXE in the right place, put all the scripts in the right place... I even tried using the NMM method that the video shows.

I jsut tried reinstalling Skyrim, no mods what so ever, and I'm still having this issue.

I haven't played skyrim in about a year, and I am on a brand new computer ready to play it again. I installed skyrim, and am running version 1.9.32.0.8. I downloaded a bunch of mods, and SKSE for my Sky UI. I got version 1_06_13 of SKSE, which is supposed to run with 1.9.32.0.8 I know already to run "SKSE_Loader" as admin. When I try and run SKSE_loader, it makes the "SkyrimLauncher" open up, and then if I hit play, it launches the game without SKSE. If I rename Skse_Loader to "TESV", I get the message "Please UPdate to the latest version of Skyrim". Ive checked my steams file integrety, and i've tried reinstalling SKSE multiple times but with no avail. Any idea what's going on here?

Use the PRID (Belethor's original ref id/base id forget which), in order to select the original belethor, and then type in resurrect (not resurrect 1). afterwards, use moveto player to make him appear next to you.

I have this issue. Not even a fresh install of dawnguard with no mods used and a brand new character fixed the problem.

I have this problem too. And using the console lets me get past this quest, but the other vampire quests wont work. So instead I try the dawnguard quest, and they work fine until I get to a quest that's considered a vampire quest.

Even though I can get the next quest to start by consoling the first quest and giving myself vampire lord powers, nobody in the castle recognizes me as a vampire lord and the guy wont lead me out of the castle.

I'm having this same problem. He just stood there, and i could redo the dialog over and over. I've tried reinstalling, and now he just grunts like he's taking a poo. I've finished the quest with the console, and given myself vampire lord powers, but now I can't do the next quest and everyone calls me a mortal.

I was messing around in Skyrim, and a couple dragons spawned in whiterun. after a good 10 minutes, i finally killed them. I ran around, looking to revive fallen NPCs, only to realize there were no bodies. For kicks, I then spawned 10 elder dragons in whiterun. The dragons hit many townsfolk directly, but they just stood there as if it were nothing. In fact, the only ones who acknowledged the dragons were the guards. Everyone else carried on with their day. Guards actually were burnt from the flames, but never died. Did the most recent patch change this?

I want this too. It seems silly that you can't.
