Make sure this line (from ENBlocal.ini) is set FALSE...>>UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false <<it should read exactly like that. But still post the files they may need tweaking...:)

According to the DX you posted the GPU is a 512 MB GPU?...what mods/texture replacers are you using?

IF you have the 3 High rez DLC's active ...Disable them.

As this is the only thing that matters>>>> Dedicated Memory: 493 MB<<That's listed under the GPU...

I had a look at my Patchus Maximus....everything in the above PIC was already done, as is being suggested to do...Patchus Maximus works in my game. Some of the starting spells wont appear as everything is different.

TO the OP...in your Screenshot you do NOT have the "patches enabled" # 17 in your list. And your Overwrite folder is RED.

TO everyone...are you running the .jar file in the Skyproc folder?

your pushing it for a laptop....Notebook check Read the performance section, they even mention Skyrim...:)

The above ..for one: is out of Order, for another: you do not have the "unofficial patches" everyone needs them. You also need to Download LOOT it will sort this list properly..(not BOSS its outdated).

Then you need to get and use TES5EDIT...everyone needs this to clean the master files from Bethesda. AS without cleaning you WILL get crashes. LOOT will point out what mods need cleaning and give a link to the proper way to clean..remember only clean ONE mod at a time.

I clicked to run MO and it opened up my WinZip (which I just installed yesterday and don't really know how to use) and it just "extracted" the MO into a folder, nothing that "ran". How do I run MO?

"Gopher" has 1000's of Videos on youtube, he is easy to listen to and is very good this link is for his MO vids, he has just started using MO. And to the above ..ya i should have mentioned MO as that is what i have 300+ mods installed with.

Watch ALL 10 Vids ..then start modding with MO. thats about 2 movies worth, 4 hours?...Grab some popcorn.

Your Save is dependent on this setting now. Depending on how you re-installed the game, nuked everything VS letting Steam do it . Try adding the following to your Game ...

SKSE w/SKSE.ini (fixes memory blocks) replaces SSME

Stable Ugrids to Load...Needed, you can reset your Ugrids to default.

ENB ...all current versions of Official ENB come with the BOOST feature.

What are your System specs, "Ugrids 9" takes a bit of a beefy system to pull off. Certainly more then a 3GB GPU.

UAC interferes again...

NO matter what, you have to Run FNIS from inside MO, as that is the only way it will see your Mods.

Try it this way....

Right click MO and Start as admin.

Then start FNIS from the "Run" button.

Install or Re-install, .net framework

IF the above does not Work.....Move Stem the heck out of the UAC controlled folder.

Move Steam

Get ENB from the source>.ENBdev.com (linked in guide below).

Click download page> Then click Skyrim. Then choose a version (think 264 is current) then on bottom of page is a down facing arrow...That is the download Button.

You can use this Guide from STEP to configure the ENB.>> Guide:ENB Pretty sure that is to have just the BOOST feature. IF you want to have a full ENB you will also need the ENBseries.INI and a preset.

The STEP team has a lot of good Guides so here is the Main WIKI page. <<<Bookmark that.

IT should change when you set it from the original launcher. Then right click the Skyrimprefs.ini and set it to read only.

You can manually set the resolution in the Skyrimprefs.ini also.

iSize H=1080

iSize W=1920

Change the above lines...IF you are using MO, the INI files are in the "Profiles" folder you are currently using.

And , no not ghetto...any air movement will help.. :smile:

EDIT:, heck set the entire computer to 1600x900...(Change desktop resolution). then run the launcher it should use what the computer is set to.

In the download for Enhanced blood.

Open the download , mine is named ..."Enhanced Blood Textures 3_6 NMM-60-3-6.rar" , you will see a folder >> "2 . Patches" Open that folder and find the patch you seek. Pretty sure this is one of those files that run an installer that lets you "pick" which patch you need. anyway , each folder is named for the patch it contains,,,Examples..

IF you have ONLY dawnguard = DG = dD-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.esp

IF you have Dawnguard & Dragonborn = DG DB = dD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.esp

Lets say you have: Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Monster Mod, Skyrim Immersive Creatures = IC MM DB DG = dD-DG-DB-MM-SiC EBT Patch.esp <<,(what i use)

You only need one patch, one of these patches will cover what you need.

A bit cryptic , but the file name lengths would be massive if not for the abbreviations.. :smile:

Hi,

Known issue with version 6 and a not updated IE ....try Using the LOOT version 7 . Been using it for about 5-6 months now , no Issues, well one...if you make changes in MO that affect the load order ,sometimes LOOT will open to a blank page , closing Loot then MO and restarting MO to launch LOOT fixes it.

2. ENB - as far as I am concern, ENB is for graphics. As you can see from my mod list I already got around 10-20 graphic mods (2k textures and so). Is ENB/ENBOOST still necessary? If yes, could you please leave a link to a nice stable one?

Alltho true...ENB does an amazing job with the Graphics, That i s not all it does, AND you can use an ENB with any graphic changes at all. This is what you need to use an ENB for, as it changes the way the Memory system works.

ENBdev.com...download the latest Official ENB. (264?). This is the default ENB no preset. Extract into the "Skyrim" folder not Data folder. Find "enblocal.ini", open it in notepad..change this line to TRUE.

[GLOBAL]

UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false,,,,,<<<Change that to TRUE. (this disables the Graphic part of ENB.)

To make sure the BOOST feature is enabled and working check your file against this...

NOTE: How to set "VideoMemorySizeMb="...according to Boris (creator of ENB) the math is ...VRAM + RAM - 2GB.

You have 2GB VRAM / 8 GB System RAM - 2 GB...>>>2+8 = 10 - 2 = 8 GB

SO you can set...

VideoMemorySizeMb=8192

And leave "auto detect" at false.

Download SPM (Skyrim Performance Monitor) Run it before adding the ENB, then again after..compare the graphs....you be the judge. Post the Graphs.

HAd a look at the download page for that mod....its a 2 step process...

First you need to grab the top / main file.

Then

You need to pick one of the 3 Body mod additions. this will have the textures you need . Pick the one that is for the body mods you use.

The patch you are thinking of is when Bethesda patched the game to be 4GB aware. True that 4gb patch is no longer necessary...BUT since then a new patch was created , it modifies the Memory blocks the game allocates, this patch is called SSME , it has since been integrated into SKSE. Since most everyone uses SKSE it is a good thing.

Check the link in my SIG. SKSE w/SKSE.ini..... will help make Skyrim stable.

ENB ..all current versions of the Official ENB come with the BOOST feature, use with or without Graphics. (also for Memory management).

Well, camaro, if i leave the game running, the file size will in fact decrease. 2 hours could reduce 10 MB from the file size. But if i start playing again after the file size has been decreased, will it not shoot all the way back up again? Then i should repeat that process?

Good, that is a sign you may have remove the offending MOD, what mods did LOOT have you remove? it may have been one of them. IF it does shoot back up, you still have a bad MOD. Have you tried...Go to an interior cell (wait 30 in game days) Let the entire game reset.

Saves grow very slowly for the most part. With a level 40 save (114 hours) and it is ..about 22 MB. Grows a bit and shrinks a bit sometimes, has slowly grown since the beginning.

I mentioned the above 3 files , as they have all been reported to cause save bloating..for some.

EDIT...

OK...Downloaded your Save...Very clean (looking at it in the save cleaner). So i gave it a shot. With ALL my mods active i loaded your save. Lots of fighting between Convenient Horses and Immersive weapons for script time..lol. Once that all finished i ran around Whiterun (all the way around), stopping back at dragon reach i went in and used the Enchanter to disenchant all your stuff, then made all new gear. Went to Alchemy table and made every potion i could. Then i waited, loaded the MCM menu went back to game. MCM then registered 31 menus.

Waited another 5 mins, SAVED....The File sizes is NOW reported at 19MB. From 85 MB down to 19 in less then a half hour. Now some mods you have that i do not, some you have that i DO but are reported as missing , think you have older versions.

According to Wrye these are what you have that i do not.

Post your Load Order.

One other thing....when you loaded the Save outside the starter cave , did you have all plugins enabled at once? Or did you ....Load with a few active, save, exit. Load a few more, save, exit. Wait for MCM menus and Scripts to fire, after the last mod is enabled build the Bashed patch, and Perma patches? This was my old and trusted method since the days of Morrowind.

I still have my "fresh out the cave" save in case starting the way i did with all mods active, did not work out in the long run. So far i am happy , at Level 40 and no Quests glitching , some of the main, half of Dawnguard done, half of Mages, Most of Dragonborn..(if that ass steals one more soul..), have yet to start , Dark B, Thieves & Companions. Have done a crap ton of side stuff also, sometimes have more fun doing that stuff. With about 1/4 of the perk trees filled in the game is really changing. Can finally craft some great stuff...lol.

ENB..All current versions of the Official ENB come with the BOOST feature. (Use with or without Graphics)<<<a MUST have for memory management.

Not sure , if the patcher finished then it should be correct for your load order...Just checking a few things...

Patchus Maximus is After the bashed batch?

Patchus Maximus in not a zero byte file? ( it has size..say ... 25 MB?)<<<that's the size of my patchus maximus..:)

The order i did things...

Installed 290 mods giving me roughly 235 ESP/M's

Ran LOOT (this gives me the starting Load order.)

Build a Bashed Patch (enabled). Since most if not all of the Dynamic patchers go after the bashed patch it is good to build first.

Run LOOT.

Run SUM (thru MO), for me it runs..DSR, AV and Patchus Maximus. (create separate mods for each).

Run LOOT.

Play.

IF any thing got moved above the Bashed patch i would have run it again, BUT LOOT places DSR, AV and Patchus Maximus after the bashed patch so no need. Now that the Load Order is settled...Start a New Game. Play thru the tutorial, everyone should know that like the back of their hand . IF anything is out of place or wrong during the tutorial you have a problem mod. Normally i would be the one saying disable all mods till out of the tutorial, but i keep reading that IF you can make it thru, you have a solid install.

My Game started and made it thru the tutorial with 235 mods. And its not a light list of mods. Besides Perma, there's : Frostfall, wet n cold, Convient Horses, IW, IA, And a full STEP + Extended. IN the 112 hours this save is now...level 40, and with Perma this is the most fun as a Sword yielding Mage i have ever had. SO far i have i think 6 crashes, normally they happen with lots of mage's spamming spells or the odd poof for no reason, i do get long sessions...4-8 hours at a time is normal.

I built this Load out slowly with SkyRe , I played with SkyRe installed with all my mods for over 9 months, rare crashes. When Perma came out i decided to swap out SkyRe for Perma and Started from scratch, Nuked everything. Checked every mod for an update before re-installing it. I know my mod setup works together, so i installed all, and started a new game.

TL;DR....make sure Patchus is after the bashed patch, is not a zero byte file, Test all mods thoroughly, Start a NEW Game.

Hi,

Ya i would guess so...SUM works on its own, and since it can work with MO...NMM should be even easier..lol, as with NMM the files are IN the Skyrim folder and not ghosted in a virtual directory.

Get the latest version of SUM, it works with all the skyproc patchers.

As you see..that graph shows it all...the texture load is thru the roof... :smile:

Start by getting the "Optimized" versions of the 3 HR'DLC's. Then start removing texture mods, always get the lower versions of all texture replacers. You are seriously limited with a 1 GB video card..sorry.

You may need to remove all texture replacers, get a base line on how the vanilla game is as far as texture load goes, then keep an eye on the graphs as you add mods, stop when you get near the top! Leave some headroom as when you meet a bunch of bad guys and start fighting the load will increase. I learned a LOT when i had my 560ti, it was the reason i got a pair of 580's with 3GB of VRAM .. :smile:. The Vanilla game with only the 3 HR-DLC's load in at 1291.95...so more then a 1 GB card has...

Don't forget to "Endorse" SPM it will help you in the process of finding your limit!

EDIT: to add.....Check the TEMP on the GPU...81c is not HOT but its gettin warm, fan must be ramping up big time while you play..

IF you want to see how much "Over" the GPU is , download "Process Explorer" (free from Microsoft) and on the GPU tab it will show you the amount of "dynamic" System RAM in is use while you play. its the bottom Graph and only fills up IF you are going over the limit of your GPU. Fantastic program, i always have it running.

EDIT 2: post new graphs as you get this narrowed down...interested in what it takes to get you a bit under the line...:)
