  1. I've been playing Skyrim for 4 years and I still appreciate how sexy it looks even to this day. I tend to swap texture overhaul mods and ENB's every once in a while just to ensure I don't get bored of the same visuals! ;) But yes the game is beautiful all thanks to our favourite modders. Going back to the vanilla game makes me cry to myself. I doubt the next Elder Scrolls game is going to be able to match the visuals of some of the mods produced for Skyrim ;)
  2. I've spent hours. Literally hours trying to find the name and texture file for this specific type of grass.   4. Hello everyone! Recently I have become rather addicted to the series "walking dead", and it really got me thinking. How about merging both Skyrim and Walking dead together, to make a walking dead styled Mod for Skyrim? The mod could go along the storyline of the actual series, but will have alot of unique features. I'm not going to go into alot of detail as this idea has not been developed whatsoever, but if some good ideas come in and alot of support I may go ahead and begin to make a Walking dead like mod. I hope we have some hardcore Walking Dead fans on here, and i can't wait to see what you guys have to say!

  6. Hello everyone! Christmas is slowly creeping up on us, and i would like to create some form of massive Christmas mod for the community to share the Christmas spirit. I was rather disappointed last year due to very few Christmas related mods being created. I mean, introducing Christmas hats and Christmas music into the game wouldn't really be considered to be immersive, but i think that it would be a great addition! So i thought to myself as i wrote this, why not create a huge christmas mod! Im not talking about just adding some lights and some music, im talking about turning skyrim into a massive ball of christmassyness. Here are a list of ideas (Off the top of my head) that i could include within this mod: -Christmas hats (Its a good way to start.) -A complete overhaul of the music, and convert every single track within skyrim into something a bit more christmassy. -Some type of santa NPC. -More snowy locations such as Whiterun, Riverwood, etc. -Christmas lights. Lights everywhere! -Reindeer's perhaps? -PRESENTS AND CHRISTMAS TREES! To be honest the possible christmas features that i could put into this mod are endless, but i would like to know what you guys would like within this mod. I don't know when it will be released, preferably a few weeks before christmas (By this I mean a bit more than a weeks time). Give me your ideas, and I will try my best to incorporate them into this mod. Thank you, and I can't wait to introduce the christmas spirit into Skyrim! (Despite it being cold and snowy all the time in Tamriel, but lets just forget about that.)
  7. Hello everyone! I have officially decided to start making random and fun Skyrim videos. I know there are plenty out there, but why not just add to the list? Heres the first video that i've made; an attempt to assassinate a women within the Riverwood trader without getting spotted.   8. I CANT DO IT! I SIMPLY CANT DO IT! :sad: Made the weapon. Textured it. NIFscope. OH OH OH Nifscope. That is the hurdle. http://i.imgur.com/t4yQcQL.png Took me hours to get it into Nifscope, and even then i can't import the textures, and the program crashes due to errors with my model. Trying my hardest, but nothing much is coming out of it. :mad:

  10. Thats a great idea! Within some of the popular weapon packs on the Nexus, there is a large variety of Khajiit/Argonian themed weapons but perhaps I could make a bow of some sort? Of course a bow is probably the hardest of weapons to design other than a crossbow, but it would be worth the try! ;)
  11. Really liking the ideas so far, and when it comes to me actually beginning the mod tomorrow I will try and take all of these ideas and implement them into the weapon. Obviously its not possible to implement all of these features into a single weapon, but i will try my best to make you guys happy! ;) Heading off for the night now, keep these ideas coming!
  12. But i like shiny daggers! :c Haha, i joke, i joke. I'm not sure of the material i am going to be making the dagger out of, so it may be shiny, or it may not be, you will have to wait and see! ;) I guess all daggers can be used by a stealth character, but i will try to design the dagger so that it will be thief looking, and could be classed as something that a thief within skyrim (such as a member of the thieves guild) could be seen using.
  13. Yes i agree, too many bows and standard swords. I'm currently going to be producing something along the lines of a dagger, so you should like it when it has been complete! ;)
  14. Similar to the Daedric theme i guess? Picturing some sort of badass dagger with the color scheme of red and black really looks good, I will take this into consideration when beginning my weapon mod tomorrow!
  15. Hello everyone, Tomorrow i am going to have a shot at making a weapon mod for the first time, and i was wondering what kind of design you guys are looking for. I know the basics of importing meshes and textures into skyrim and all of that, but I was wondering if you guys had any specific weapon designs in mind. If you do, then please leave a description of the weapon that you would like me to produce, or even give me an image and i will try my best to produce what you desire. I will only be selecting a single design due to this being my first weapon mod, but if multiple replies are given asking for various different types of weapon then in the future i will be more than happy to give a shot at making theses also. Thank you, and wish me luck in producing my first weapon mod! ;)
  16. I didn't even realise at the beginning there was the option to choose 2 different sides, i wasn't clearly asked if i wanted to join the Dawnguard, or join the vampires. But i would have chosen the vampires so its all good, and i will come back to play through the Dawnguard side also. I'm glad its not just me, and now i understand that the way im playing through will take me longer, which is good. Thanks for the help! ;)
  17. Hello! I remember seeing a forum thread, similar to this, stating that the average play time for Dawnguard is 4 hours. 4 Hours. Its taken me atleast 10 hours and I haven't even completed the Vampiric side of the DLC, let alone the Dawnguard side. So, depending on the speed in which people play through the DLC; the time taken to complete the DLC will alter. So, i would like to know if im moving too slow, or is 4 hours just a bit rushed. (I've had Skyrim for over a year, and I have only just decided to check the DLC's out)

  20. I've only been playing for about a year, but i've got to say its still one of the best gaming experiences i've had; actually let me rephrase that. IT WILL BE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST GAMING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD! Skyrim for life! ;)
  21. Thank you Matthiaswagg and Darren for agreeing that my project was uncompletable, really takes some weight off my shoulders. I ensure you, this arena mod; or the next mod that I decide to produce will be decent, and i assure you it will be worth downloading. None of this New lands crap, this is going to be the real deal, and i am going to ensure that i set myself an objective which is actually capable of achieving. I will not let you down! ;)

I know, and I was another addition to those thread promising New lands that was never going to happen! ;) 1000+ hours is quite impressive, and im glad your still putting work into it; I will check it out now that you mention it. But yes, the 100 hours i spent making the mod are incomparable to the amount of effort you've put in! Honestly, I know a simple arena wont do. Im not literally going to make doors that you go into (non-loading doors) and then some minuscule room where you fight some NPCS. No. I am going to make a huge arena, the scenery changing on each fight, commentators, everything. I wont let you down on this one, and I am sticking to this project i tell you! I didn't intend to make it sound like all i care about are the downloads; its just something to state. For example; Low downloads gives me the assumption my mods are terrible and aren't what people want. On the other hand, if I had a huge amount of downloads, then that clearly states that my mods are popular, and the work i am making is what people want. But that is not what i want. I don't want downloads. I dont want to be popular. I simply want to carry on modding, and making mods to the quality that i am producing them now, but I would prefer to create a mod that people are going to enjoy, rather than making all of these Playerhome mods that people obviously don't want anymore! ;) I really do appreciate your feedback, despite it kind of going against me It still helped!
  23. Now that you mention my Forbidden lands mod; im slightly going off the idea. I may have spent almost a total of 100 hours on the project, but in my eyes its uncompletable. Theres some issues that i've found, which will require me to remake the entire project. I really don't have the patients to do this. Im not saying that im giving up on the project, but im unofficially saying that the progress i've made with the mod has all been for nothing. :wink: Indeed. In an attempt not to sound like an I told you so: Make sure this one is completable. I've realised that its uncompleteable; I didn't realise how much time it was going to take me to make something such as this; and the difficulty also. I should have listened to your wise words! ;)

  25. Hello! http://i.imgur.com/kmSYIle.jpg I have decided to make a thread, primarily based around my frustration. I have released countless numbers of mods; and only managing to get around 100 downloads on each. (sometimes higher, sometimes lower). This doesn't really bother me, but what does bother me is trying to come up with a mod that the community wants, and will do anything to get their hands on. I have been brainstorming! (Thats right, i have a brain, and i can use it!) There is a few mods out there, such as Salem - Arena mod that allows players to have an Arena based experience, but i want to create a mod which is based on primarily an Arena, and not mutliple quests, new land, etc. I want to create an Arena mod, with hundreds of battles that the player can do. I don't want to make the mod too complex, but I have been thinking about creating an Arena Reception, which you walk into. Once you have gained access to the reception, you will see doors all around you; and numerous floors with stairways spiraling up, to these doors. What is behind these doors you may ask? An arena battle behind each of them. Each floor will have a certain difficultly, and you will have to proceed through each door, to gain a key, which will give you access to the next door; which will give the player a slightly more challenging battle. This means that the player will progressively have to fight more difficult opponents. Rewards will also be given, but will be minimal on the lower difficultly arena fights, and a high reward will be given for the challenging fights. This may sound like a really difficult concept to produce, but i am determined to do so. I have seen a number of threads talking about Arena mods, and i can safely say that a large Arena mod is what people are looking for. Mods such as playerhomes are simple too mainstream; and if i was to pursue my modding career and carry on making playerhomes, im not going to get anywhere. I haven't began to create this mod, but i would atleast like ideas as to what you guys would like, before i crack on and begin to produce this mod!
