  1. Hello. Does anyone still read this thread? Contains spoilers for the beginning of the Beyond Boulder Dome mod. Having a problem with Beyond Boulder Dome. I picked up Kate after having the american ghoul leader agree to peace and to go out into the world with the chinese ghouls. I think I was supposed to talk to her before talking to the american ghoul leader? I then free Kate and am supposed to take her to a laboratory which seems to be this building called Mobile Base. I went through all of it finding a few doors I could not go through without a key. One had a terminal which I hacked to disengage a lock, but nothing happened with the door next to the terminal. Nothing happened as I explored the base's entirety, at least what I had access to. Then at some point Kate gets activated near a door that has red in its coloring unlike other doors in the Mobile base. Kate tell's me to go onwards and she'll wait there for me. So I try the doors that I needed a key to go through, nothing happened. The door with the terminal next to it still requires a key and the door with red coloring will not open as well. Is that just it? I leave her on the laboratory level and head off to try to find another quest? Or do Taking the Bait? Thanks much for any help. : )
  2. So my character is wearing recon mk II armor. Has sneak 85 including the +5 from the armor. I'm attempting to sneak inside a ghoul gang's head quarters in ghost town which is part of the World of Pain mod. I am spotted right away. Its been quite a while since I've played NV, but this seems out of place. Anyone know if this difficulty is correct? I've searched online, but nothing besides mention that DLC seems to cause sneak to become worthless, but nothing concrete.

  4. Slight update. I downloaded and then started BOSS. It seems to have fixed the 'Project Nevada HUD extensions not detected' error message, but FNVedit still lists many conflicts as does LOOT. As well there is now a light glowing with my character which I am guessing is my PIP boy's light? Anyone know which mod this is from and how to turn it off/on?
  5. I received an error message saying HUD exentions for Project Nevada are not detected. This is the first time I'm using mods with FO:NV. Looking online I found I should be using FNVedit, LOOT, and FOMM. Well FOMM came first as I used it to install all my mods. I know very little about mods and am overwhelmed by options, how to fix conflicts, etc using FNVedit. Can someone tell me what you think of my load order and what should be fixed? And/or how I can approach using FNVedit to resolve conflicts? There seem to be A LOT of ITM records and deleted references while viewing the LOOT window. Using FNVedit to sort them...there's just so many. It seems like I could spend hours and hours trying to figure out what to do exactly and I'm feeling overwhelmed here. Any help would be appreciated.   6. So everything I hear about Fallout 4 makes it sound awful. BUT it has rekindled a desire to replay FO:NV. I only own the base game, no DLC. A few questions. Should I buy all the DLC or just some of it? Mods. I browsed various mods on nexusmods. I wondering if someone can help me decide and if the various mods can work at the same time.   7. May contain minor spoilers for the first few missions of the long war mod. Tried to find the answer to my question here in this thread, does not seem to be here. If I missed it, appologies. I've just started using the long war mod and am very impressed. However I'm at my first alien landing and having a lot of trouble. This is my third mission. A large alien ship lands(forget specific class), and I send in my six squad members. I failed badly my first time, no worries, tried a second time. I was doing well until I came to the 'main' part of the ship. Inside were five outsiders, one with 20 hps. As well there were 4 floaters. I begin fighting and I am able to direct the battle so i'm only engaging 2 floaters at a time(there are three enterances and the outsiders do not seem to start attacking if they can not visually see my soldiers). However the turn following my first turn in this fire fight with the two floaters, four chrysallids drop down out of the air behind my soldiers and then move in. They each have atleast 8 hitpoints. And from a flank come three sectoids. I'm basically overwhelmed. I realize the long war is supposed to be difficult, which is ok with me, but this seems too much for just the third mission. Does anyone know the battle i'm talking about? Suggestions? Should I just ignore the landing entirely?
  8. Nevermind. I was in a state of idiocy. Forgot to activate the miscellaneous part of the journal. Sigh.
  9. I'm playing Skyrim Legendary Edition. I've entered Solstheim for the first time, started a few quests, finished two I need to turn in. However the only quest markers that appear on the map are the main quests, not miscellaneous. I was running the unofficial skyrim patch and the drain life bug fix. I tried ealier saves and turning off the drain life bug fix. This did not work. I downloaded the unofficial patches for dawnguard, dragonborn, heathfire, and high resolution (for some reason I can't seem to find the one for textures) I put these in and made sure my game was the most recent official patch(automatic steam patching/checking version number) and also put in the most recent unofficial skyrim patch. And I put them in the loading order recommended by the webpage with the unofficial skyrim patch. Still only seeing quest map markers. And yes I did check to make sure they were selected in the journal. Any help?
