  1. I know I'm late, it's a talent, but since no one has mentioned it, http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom/mods/477/? Like that? (Side note, it doesn't seem OP to me as they only scramble for cover - if they're not brain damaged - and don't start shooting right away, though I don't know how it works in XCOM 2.)
  2. I always assumed "directly against the wall underneath sniper/person on rooftop" is just a blind spot. Seems like XCOM soldiers don't bother looking straight down when on top of a building, which can be irritating. Distance, I think, isn't so much an issue, even less so if you have a Squad Sight sniper. It depends on angle from what I've experienced. On the bright side, dropping down right next to someone against a wall usually doesn't trigger an overwatch, which makes flanking quite easy. I've also just noticed you posted this months ago, but hell. I'm bored. :|
  3. Hello, forum people. A simple question: Is there some way to unlock all continents as possible base locations when playing the tutorial in EW? Normally you're only allowed to choose North America or Europe while the three others are greyed out. I kinda like playing the tutorial, but this restriction is a bit of a nuisance. I've dug around a little but couldn't find anything on this, sorry if it's been asked and answered before.
  4. Load order is a bit long. Somewhere between 130-140 there's a blurry line, if you cross that, your game is more likely to start acting wonky which includes crashes. Some, if not all, of the "Cut Content" mods are actually included in MMUE, just like "Delay DLC". The centered 3rd person camera is part of either PN or NVEC, if I'm not mistaken. I recommend checking the pages of big mods to see what you can live without because it's already there. From what I gather, Wrye Bash makes sure that weapon and armor mods get along by... doing something I don't understand which has to do with leveled lists. Soo I don't think those mods should be disabled. o_° For merging mods there's a plug-in that can be used with FNVEdit though I wouldn't recommend using that if you're not exactly sure what you're doing. I'd wager you can't just throw anything into a single file without running into problems. You read the sticky, can I assume you used LOOT to help with your load order? I think that can also point you to compatibility patches or general conflicts. Also, use NVAC for general crashes. It's magic (but no cure-all).
  5. Hm. Have you solved this in the meantime? It sounds like some mod may have added something similar to Boone's and/or Rex's companion perk(s) to you. Boone's Spotter makes enemies red when zooming in on them (e.g. looking through a scope), Rex's Search and Mark makes lootable containers (e.g. dead people) green. Maybe a PN Cyberware implant?
  6. See, that's why I deemed it a dumb question, because re-installing the mod is what a sensible person would do. And you did. Anyway, I skimmed through the comments on WRP and someone mentioned a potential fix: Maybe try using the standalone 357 Revolver texture by Millenia in addition to WRP and WMX? Seems to be some conflict with WMX after all.
  7. Dumb question: Have you tried simply re-installing WRP? (Side note, "Delay DLC" is, iirc, included in "Mission Mojave". I don't think you need both YUP and MMUE either since from what I gather they both fix the same bugs, but in a slightly different manner.)
  8. Steam says yes. Nothing should go horribly wrong if you make backups before doing anything and follow those instructions, I suppose.
  9. Yes. I think Tullius started questioning his decision to recruit me into the Legion after the 12th time but considering he likes repeating himself as much as I do, maybe it didn't bother him. In other news (once again) I've given up, i.e. I started a new game, watched the cart horse turn into a goat and climb a mountain, then did the sensible thing and disabled most of my mods until after Helgen. I have anger management issues. Though I suppose if anyone knows a reliable solution, since this bug does seem to pop up every now and then, why not post it. (OP maybe also gives a nice summary of silly things to do to try and fix it. :| ) Edit. Ahaha no. Stop it, Skyrim. (At least Rikke is working in this new game of mine.)
  10. Oh no. Just... no. So here's what happened. Because nothing worked and I got tired of trying, I did this: It did help up to a point. It finished "Regain the Pale" automatically so sadly I didn't get to battle for Dawnstar but alright. Next I went to the Reach Camp and finally Rikke let me "Report for duty". Sent me to Fort Sungard. This time I could complete the objective to "Join the men", we stormed the place, quest completed and guess what. She's doing it again. There must be something wrong with my game (or me), though I've tried finding something with TESVEdit and the only mods modifying the war - as far as I can tell - are the USKP and CWO (and if either of those were causing this, people would know, considering the popularity of both). At this point it seems all I can do is use console commands to advance and that is not the damn point of installing CWO (which I did before starting a new game, btw, just in case anyone was wondering).
  11. There is an invisible wall, unfortunately. It's called a collision mesh and the ones in NV are... ahem. Not as they should be. Most gaps you see aren't really gaps and some objects (cars, for example) have collision meshes bigger than the visible object which means if you aim too close you'll be hitting said invisible mesh. There used to be a mod to fix most of these meshes, "Collision Mesh Overhaul" iirc, though it has been taken down by the author. Still hoping it'll be back up some day. :> So what you're experiencing isn't a bug or something. That's just the way the vanilla game works.
  12. Not sure if correct order but there you go. From the beginning of this game, too. Patch makers are not magicians, unfortunately. I'm getting the impression Bethesda was dead set on screwing this one up. If I can get around all the hostile dragons on the TotW (I... don't suppose anyone knows about that?) I'll check Rikke and Tullius and everyone in the world again and then possibly throw myself off a mountain. Edit: Alright, reloaded, defeated Alduin again and this time the TotW dragons didn't want me dead, yay. But then it was a full moon and I turned into a werewolf so I'll have to wait since I know Rikke doesn't take kindly to these kinds of shenanigans. Edit #2: Oh FFS. It's still broken. I went and spoke to Tullius who was at least happy about the Rift thing but Rikke... argh. I... yeah, no. All I got left is incessant swearing and angry mumbling. In other news, the Imperials aren't moving into Fort Dunstad either, even though that quest is marked as completed and Rikke gave me the reward for it. Nothing lives there now. Nothing and no one. It doesn't even appear on Rikke's map (should it?). #3 Tried using the CWO MCM to just win the damn Pale. Okay, Rikke left the Pale Camp and went Shor knows where, Tullius congratulated me and made me Praefect, Imperials showed up at Dunstad (finally) and... my quest log still tells me to "Regain the Pale". Did I just make it worse? Quest marker is pointing to the Pale Camp but no one in particular and when I move Rikke to me, nothing. Just wanders off. Reach, I'm guessing. (I did "setstage cw 4" after using the menu as suggested.) I've come to the conclusion that I'm being incredibly stupid in some way but, since I'm stupid, I don't know how so I need someone to point it out to me.
  13. I finally caved and started Season Unending to see if that would help at all since I'm slowly running out of other things to do. So now I have created a new problem for myself, somehow: Ever since I told Ulfric to move his lazy parts to High Hrothgar, I'm getting loading screen lockups. Game doesn't crash, it just freezes for a few seconds and then goes on. I am having so much fun right now I could explode into a ball of sunshine. Edit: Freezes resolved by reboot. ...now Odahviing and the others are trying to kill me after my return from Sovngarde for some reason, why do weird things always happen when I'm surrounded by dragons.
  14. Addendum, I guess. I did now go and do some other quests (for lack of alternatives or solutions right this moment), find word walls, bounties, random deliveries, some Companion quests. About 3-4 hours of gameplay. Went back to Rikke to see if she'd changed her mind but no dice. Still don't feel like going through Season Unending, a) because it's boring and b) because I shouldn't have to due to a bug. It may be of interest that I had set my timescale to 10 via console but reset it to default (20, right?) to try and solve the issue. I'm not sure if it matters. (Also, I realize that I can edit my posts but why not bump the topic while I'm here.)
  15. Odd, I'm using the Game Companion myself and never had any issues with it. That aside, on the picture you uploaded you mentioned that you fixed the problem but don't know how. I'm wondering what else you tried, maybe it could help other people with the same problem if they follow the same steps.
  16. Have you tried setting bFull Screen=0 to "1" in the Display section of your SkyrimPrefs.ini? (Documents/My Games/Skyrim) Alternatively, more of a workaround than a solution, there are mods/applications that can make your game run in Fake Fullscreen (example).
  17. I know I'm a bit late, but there is also a setting in the FalloutPrefs.ini, under "Interface": bDisable360Controller=0 I guess you'd have to set that to "1", then. Although it really isn't a bad idea to have a 360 controller these days, as a lot of games are compatible with that by default. =p
  18. It's been a few days, have you found a solution to your problem? First thing to suspect seems to be a faulty installation of a weather mod, but you did mention un-installing NSkies, hm. Sure there aren't any leftovers? I don't think it necessarily has to be the sun texture but I'm only guessing on that one. Next thing, I suppose, would be something wrong with another texture mod, though I can't quite tell which one could be the cause. Have you considered, as much of a pain in the backside it would be, to un-install all texture mods, delete the texture folder in your Data and load up the game without them to see if that fixes it? Although if you haven't saved all the mods some place that would mean you'd have to re-download them. Another tedious thing is to look at all the texture mods to see which textures are supposed to go where and compare that to your own Data folder, see if anything is in the wrong place. It does say in NSkies' description that this can occur when something went wrong with the installation of that mod. Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing NSkies?
  19. Rikke doesn't seem to appreciate my continued efforts to capture Fort Dunstad. I've done that bloody mission five times now and while I do get the reward every time, Rikke won't give me any new objectives after that. The dialogue option "Reporting for duty" doesn't show up and the quest "Reunification of Skyrim" doesn't update. Thing is, the fort quest itself isn't going according to plan either. I can never complete the objective "Join the Men Attacking the Fort". The guys are there alright, but they don't acknowledge my existence. Nevertheless I can go on ahead and kill all the Stormcloaks on my own, then the quest regarding Dunstad is completed. And that's where I get stuck. Load order. What I've tried: - use the cooking pot thing at the camp (apparently that's a thing that sometimes works for people) - wait for 30 days in a different cell (Breezehome) - attack Rikke until she goes down then talk to her - attack Rikke then yield - turn into a werewolf, run away, wait and go back - un-install "No Permanent Essentials" as it supposedly doesn't get along with CWO - load save from before the Dunstad quest - exhaust all dialogue options with Rikke and (for good measure) Tullius - talk to the quartermaster (who keeps dying) - survive dragon attack (about 12 of them now, that place is apparently dragon country), wolf pack attack and Silver Hand attack - clear nearby cave and return - put on ridiculous Imperial armor - click all the flags on Rikke's map Console commands: - "setstage cw 4" as suggested on the CWO page - "setstage cwfortsiegefort 10/50/9000" - "resetquest cwfortsiegefort" - "disable/enable" Rikke - "moveto player" on Rikke - "setstage cwmission07 9999" I googled, obviously. It would seem that this is a vanilla bug, though I suppose mod conflicts could be causing it as well. Or, I don't know, some higher power. What I haven't tried is doing the quest "Season Unending" because I wanted to get the whole war business over with before dealing with the World Eater (naturally). "The Fallen" is active with the current objective "Speak to the Jarl of Whiterun", if that makes any difference, although I could complete the quest with the Stormcloak courier with that active. Also, I didn't just leave Rikke be to do other quests for a while because I'd like to continue the war stuff and don't want to spend time doing other things on the off chance that it'll fix her. I just hope I'm missing something simple here because I'm kinda close to punching a baby seal.
  20. It does. That's the reason why people can rudely bump into you or walk between you and the other person while you're trying to have a conversation. Or, yeah, you can get assaulted as well. I don't know anything about making Skyrim mods myself, but the first thing that comes to mind is the conversation with the Psijic guy in Saarthal; he freezes the world around himself and the player while speaking. Maybe that effect could be applied to conversations in general, without the visual effects, since that occasion at least suggests it's generally possible. Whether that would be simple I can't tell, I'm afraid.
  21. This may answer your question. I'm hoping they'll be back eventually.
  22. One would suspect that has something to do with a mod that alters companions or the strip, then. Are you using NVAC? If it does not eliminate the crash itself, it may help identifying the source. That depends on what the patch that comes with Freeside Open is for. I don't use the mod myself, but looking at the downloads, I see the NV Bounties patch but none for The Inheritance. Regarding the random NPC that spawns, you can at least find out which mod cowboy lady is from (if she is from a mod) if you activate the console and click on her to get her ID. As for the hostile securitrons, that may be a mod conflict like MoonDew1 suggested or a vanilla bug, although I don't know why the latter would only kick in halfway down the strip. (Then again, since when did NV bugs make any sense.) Did you use a program to sort your load order or do it manually? Also, merged patch! People love merged patches. You could try making one.
  23. Of course you're not the only one. I also do that most of the time. Here's a video on FNVEdit (the entire thing is quite informative but the link should point you to the part about merged patches). Dumb question: When you say you removed the mod, did you follow the instructions in the description where it says "do this or it'll break your game"? I don't know much about the Pipboy 2500 so if the FAQ doesn't help, I don't know. Personally, when I can't get a mod to work I just stop trying but I'm a quitter.
  24. The man just saved your life, for God's sake. So you're the one hoarding all the Internets. Regardless - I'd like to help but I'm not too familiar with all your mods. Hence the recommendation of BOSS for load order things, it certainly knows better than I do. My method of fixing things wrong with my own game usually invovles a large metaphorical hammer. Now, you still have a whole bunch of plug-ins. I think for one it'd be best to remove the inactive ones from your Data folder. Also, I always like suggesting FNVEdit for the heck of it, you can find conflicts and create a merged patch to deal with obscurities. PipboyRemover.esm=1 Glove_be_gone.esp=1 I was wondering, do you need both of these? I figure the Pipboy Remover would get rid of the glove as well but I'm unfamiliar with it. Regarding the Pipboy weirdness: That's from the 2500 description. About crouching; if I recall correctly, the game won't let you crouch until... some point, I don't remember. Possibly after Mitchell gives you the Pipboy or after you've left his house for the first time. (Just guessing, can't tell if you've left the house yet.) Immersive Karma.esp=1 Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't PN have an option to disable Karma messages? So you wouldn't need that. The shorter your list, the better.
  25. Those guys weird me out, they appear in the strangest places. Once I saw one fall from the sky. I think the merging works out well because the ADAM plugins don't overwrite each other, from what I gather they all do different things.
