Holy crap, I have a joystick and I notice now that it's tilted slightly forward... I am going to unplug it and test the game. Hold on EDIT: I love you, I didn't even know Oblivion had joystick support? But really, thanks for the help! Now I can actually test my mods and play the game

There are great guard overhauls and bounty mods on TESnexus, try them out, just search on the site

Anti-aliasing smooths out the edges of everything, if you look at the images above you can see all the edges of the trees, rocks, characters etc. being very "pixly" as you can see all the pixels, anti-aliasing smooths it out by blending out colors in either 2x, 4x, 8x or 16x, that means 2 pixels, 4 pixels etc. that basically just creates edges that are a bit easier on the eyes. I love the AA feature, my graphics card and processor can max out oblivion :) For HQ screenshots try downloading something like fraps, it's a free recording program but it can also take screenshots. http://www.fraps.com/

I have some nice ideas for mods, but I really don't get around do creating them.. Either it's school, problems, school, various IRL things, me not feeling like it or just school. There's so many things other things then learning and creating things for Oblivion. I'd like a week where I can just sit down, without any other work and do what I want to do - mod Oblivion. Right now I am creating a mod but if you look a I created a topic about my character walking all the time so I can't test my mods out... I hope I can create a quest that you'll like, why not just create a poll for what kind of quest you want?

No button is pressed. I only use the mouse, also when typing in the char name I make sure to hit qwasd just to make sure. Any other tips you may have? if its a cordless mouse,thats your problem! Why would that be my problem? I could try to only have my 1 "normal" mouse plugged in, or my technomouse plugged in. They are compatible with being connected as they are in the same output.

Hey there! I just reinstalled Oblivion for the 3rd time on my new computer, just to (again) see that he just keeps walking... The exact same files didn't do anything yesterday, then the game ran perfectly as it should. Today after rebooting the computer (and installing OBMM, OBSE and TES CS) the character just keeps walking no matter what I press. I removed everything related to oblivion but when I reinstalled the game again (vanilla, or patched with the shivering isles as well as the 1.2.0413 - or whatever) he keeps walking, even if I unplug the keyboard so obviously there's something messed up with the game. Any console commands that may help? The game does not respond to w or s but every other button. Help is very much appreciated as I just got this new dual core just to play Oblivion :wallbash:

Heya! So today I got to experience Oblivion with dual core and maxed out graphics, pretty much I got a new computer. My current rig info is: Core 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86 GHz 2GB RAM ATI Radeon 4670 512MB All maxed out and I noticed how my FPS was very steady with a vanilla oblivion with messed up textures (I need to reinstall.. My world map was the ground texture some why :P) Before I had the same but with a P4 instead for a Core 2, I had about 20-30FPS (all maxed except for AA x2) average with a ton of mods but no real FPS-taking mods except for natural environments. So I am just wondering, with what are you running Oblivion? And how well is it working?

Well: sexlivion sexdarkness lovers (something like that) sexlivion contains a minigame so yeah, sexdarkness is sexlivion with some extra stuff really, animations included etc. go for it!

It should, but if you're nervous about anything messing up then back up the downloaded file (.7z/.rar/.zip or whatever) as well. I would use 7zip to zip my entire data folder and move it. 7zip is a lot better then winrar because the compressed .7z is actually way smaller then a compressed .rar

You should always backup your data folder and install mods slowly, making sure you got it all. If you've still got the .7z/.rar/.zip you can just extract them one after one, and it should work. The ESP is not important at all in this case, the folder you are looking for would be the folders called "meshes" and the other one called "textures"

Hey there! Yeah I downloaded "Fire Drake Inn" the other day, and after going to sleep, or after a few hours the NPC would ask me to leave (the kind of "Get the hell out of my house"). I though that that was strange and removed the Fire Drake Inn. But now in my Inn the NPC does the exact same thing.. I have an NPC with the simplest package on her, from 1-6 she goes to bed, from 6-1 she walks over to the counter and offers her services. But at 1 if I stand there and wait, she will run toward me and follow me, asking me to leave or she'll call the guards. The area is set as public in the cell settings but I have no idea what to do? She is owning the house, it's public and she's got a schedule. Help is appreciated! More info provided on request :) Solved this, it was due to bad packages

Yeah making your own things should actually be easier, and then you won't have to worry about copyright, but if you actually manage to get something from Fallout into Oblivion you can only use it yourself, you mustn't distribute it to tesnexus or anything else
