  1. Yeah much appreciated. I'd given up trying to get in at weekends :thanks:
  2. Possibly a dumb question, but just to clear it up, are you renaming your own MP3s to names that the Oblivion script recognises?
  3. I doubt that anyone is holding back info just to annoy you, and bumping your own posts is likely to draw the mods' attention. Have you tried comparing the Oblivion music files with the files you want to use, in a program such as Audacity (free to download if you don't have it)? OB music is stereo; are the substitutes also stereo? Don't know if it matters but it might. You could also compare sample rates between the two options. Otherwise it's anybody's guess what is wrong, but if no-one has responded it's because someone who does know hasn't seen your post yet. ;)
  4. I like the `eshmes better bodies and clothes' mod. It includes a well-stocked shop full of clothes. If you use companions (and a couple of pretty, battle-ready girls with you makes travelling those lonely roads a much-improved experience) then this is highly useful.
  5. Garridan's Tears was a hard one for me. The tears are hard to spot, and I had to find a cheat map on the web in the end to locate the last one. EDIT: I actually found this quite funny blog thread concerning Garridan and his sodding tears.. http://blogs.ign.com/ShoggIGN/2006/04/12/11395/
  6. You might like to try Natural Environments rather than Enhanced Weather, or at least compare & contrast. I personally prefer NE's weather patterns. As regards iron, steel and silver, I've always assumed that steel weapons don't wear as quickly as iron (even though they do similar damage) and so don't need repairing as often. This is open to confirmation however. Silver weapons will hurt spooks (and/or maybe vampires), unlike ferrous ones. If your character's a packrat kind of guy you might like the Bag of Holding mod, which allows collecting unlimited stuff with no weight penalty. Some players do consider this to be a cheat -- I prefer to think of it as magic :)
  7. No banks either. Everyone has to carry their life-savings around or stash them in trunks.
  8. mmm... that's weird because I don't remember any child on that game except that rascal on the market at Hong kong... anyway, I really loved the game, the setting was so inmersive, and the story so compelling, a true cyberpunk classic indeed. There's one on the quayside at NY after you take the boat from Liberty Island. He asks you for food. I think he might be the only other one though, oh -- and maybe in the tunnels under the subway too. Haven't played in a while.
  9. How come that clearly alcoholic Imperial Guard in the Wawnet Inn hasn't been fired for drinking all day long instead of patrolling? Does Cyrodiil not have drop-in AA centres? All the beggars seem to be resting actors fallen on hard times, switching voices from village idiot to BBC newsreader and back as the whim takes them. Underwear is glued on -- you can't loot it from corpses (perhaps because they haven't changed it in years as houses have no bathrooms).
  10. DX was definitely a classic -- I still give it a run from time to time. Anyone tried the Zodiac and Redsun mods? Redsun is quite awesome in its visuals. Also there's this: http://thenamelessmod.com/ in the pipeline (a word I just typoed as `pieline', BTW) :D
  11. Funnily enough I just had that problem for the first time, just the once, yesterday with a companion after starting a conversation. Didn't happen again though. It does look weird. I'll check out that patch Vagrant0 referred to.
