This is much better done by using the PM system. Thank you for following up with me there. For the record, this situation is resolved: As there is no paper trail of the chat ban, and after review of your posting history, your chat membership is yours to lose. Guard it wisely.

You do realize that you can report any post you don't want to appear and we will go ahead and delete it. We simply reserve the right to see what's being deleted for the protection of everyone involved.

tjobbins banned. As you know we have a three strike rule in the forums. In your case, you were banned from chat for discussing console modding, a subject that is specifically off topic. It was perfectly fine to appeal to the staff member who banned you from chat via private message. But instead of patiently waiting for a response, you immediately violated the rules by making the terribly unwise decision to "take it to the streets" and post in the Nexus forums. We do not allow open debate of staff actions in the forums under any circumstances. Because of the confusion with the unban request system not functioning properly at the time, (even though chat unban requests are handled in a separate process), we made an exception to hear you out, so instead of the usual penalty for this offense, which is an instant ban, that nearly every other person who does this has gotten or would have gotten, I reduced it to one strike. In your forum complaint you reiterated nearly word for word the topic that resulted in your chat ban. The subject of console modding is clearly not allowed in the forums, and ignorance of the rule is no excuse. Furthermore, you stated that you knew that the subject was what got you banned. If you understood that, it seems a bit deceptive to repeat the offense in the forums. Second strike for discussing console modding in the forums. Finally, I suggested you send a PM to DrGrimm with an apology, which you have ignored completely, aside from which you then again violated the prohibition against discussing staff actions by creating yet another post detailing your complaint in the Nexus Hate thread. This, again, is normally an instant ban violation, but giving you the benefit of the doubt and reducing it to one strike still adds up to three strikes. I still cannot fathom why you didn't simply have patience enough to allow DrGrimm a few minutes to respond to your original post or why, afterward you didn't write to him or another member of staff privately as you were urged to do. Whatever your reasons, that is just not the way we do things here. Banned for violating the three strike rule.

Feel free to make the text larger if that makes you feel more authoritative. Accusing a moderator informing you of what you've already been informed of by at least two other members of staff of "power tripping" is an instant ban offense around here, bud. This style of text is the site owner's Auto "Moderator Edit" style. And you just violated our Terms of Service regarding how you treat Robin's Staff. This may be an unmoderated zone but we wouldn't allow that by PM system either, another unmoderated zone.
