Actually you are quite right! What I do is after I go to Orzammar (I've already done the Broken Circle), I am already in the Crows and do that crows quest in Orzammar. Once Orzammar is done, I take Zev and the dog and go back to Denerim, finish up the crow quests and if I haven't visited Flemeth's hut by now, I make sure to do it before heading out for Haven. I get her original grimoire btw I never kill her, I take Zev and we conspire with the witch, it's more fun that way; and then I finish the Urn of Sacred ashes. I have the real grimoire in my possession the entire time. I NEVER give it to Morrigan until right before the Landsmeet itself where we confront Loghain. I kiss her, give her the book and NEVER talk to her after that until the dark ritual. If I return to the camp for one last night with Alistair and Zev, I never go to Morrigan, once she has that real grimoire, you can't talk to her without tripping the "out of love" speech. The dark ritual does not affect anything, that's coded into the game as is. Morrigan stays in love with me till the very end, as does Alistair and Zev, just the way I want it. ;)

I actually like playing the Fade in Broken Circle. I have a way I really scoot around fast. You know you don't have to go into every room! But anyway, I love these kinds of threads cause now everyone can get mad at me for being a cheater! And I do cheat! And love it! I remember years ago, when I had my very first website, Lady Moiraine's Morrowind, everyone at the old Elder Scrolls forum were very much against cheating, then I came along and openly admitted I did cheat and enjoyed cheating to the point I dedicated and entire webpage to my cheating. I have no qualms about mastering a game as fast as I can. (I've been playing Mass Effect these past couple days and am getting pretty good at it already). I play games for relaxation and if I get frustrated from dying all the time, that's not relaxing to me. I get really frustrated so instead of wasting $50 on a game, I cheat and have a blast! And how do I cheat with Dragon do you ask? EASILY! Here's my mod list cause it's way too big to list. I start the same everytime. I use runscript zz_supercrit player first then runscript givexp 10000000000000000000000000000 and that puts me at level 40. Then I use the add console points mod and runscript givespec 3 first then runscript givespec 2 to give me 5 of the mage specializations, the Keeper does not unlock right away. Then I runscript giveattrib 600, runscript givetalent 144 and runscript giveskill 28. I might need to give or take talents, that sometimes varies. Then I'll runscript pc_immortal and runscript zz_money 1000000000000 unless it's a city elf, they only get 1000000000. You have to be careful with the money running it up that high, you can easily go into the negative if you're not careful. I always play a mage, regardless of the origin which is either city elf, Dalish elf, tower mage or Cousland mage. And that's how I play my games! When I meet Big Al, it's runscript zz_addapproval Alistair 100 and runscript zz_party_addgifts but the only ones I keep are Duncan's shield, Morrigan's mirror and Zev's boots and gloves, everything else gets destroyed. I NEVER EVER play Leliana so she's not a problem and I go back and forth with Shale, depending on how into my character I am at the time. I gift Al and Morrigan in Lothering because after Lothering I'll take her to do the werewolf quest then she's done. We take a quick shopping trip to Denerim where I give her the Wintersbreath staff and her belt and ring and that's it, once we get back to the camp, she's done, all she's good for after that point is sex. As soon as we are done with Lothering, I hightail it to Redcliffe, Big Al tells me his secret, we run to Denerim, see his sister, then run back to camp and it's in the sack with Big Al. Next stop the werewolf quest, and after the werewolves--I take only dog with me to grab Zev and it's back to the camp for more sex. At that point I'll take a breather and get to know everyone a little better, in bed that is. And that's my game! :D I can play it from beginning to end in anywhere from 24 - 28 hours. And if you don't think I play the game all the way through, well, I got 192 Dragon Age Videos to prove it--yeah, I love the game!! :biggrin: ********* Guess I didn't answer all the questions. Weapons & Armor, I use only tier 9 weapons and armor or modded armor for all my guys. Sten gets the Great Longsword (other games call them claymores) before he gets Asalaa, Big Al gets the Longsword, Zev gets the Dalish set the Dar Misu and Dar Misan something like that they are a longsword and dagger simitar set, Oghren gets the tier 9 battleaxe. All my mages are rogues and I use Catona's high stats daggers and bow. I also give the Dalish bow to Zev. I am now using the Duncan armor mod for my Alistair cause he looks hot and I just started using the Sten armor mod with a tweaked face I did for Sten, a little rougher than the one found here at nexus. Morrigan stays as is, and so does Wynne. Oghren gets the Scale armor (medium) cause I think it's silly to go trumping around in heavy or massive armor. My guys are all mages and I wear all the robes, Catona's clothes and the queen's attire, that makes for a nice set. My Zev gets the Dalish armor when he gets his gloves but usually by the time I get to Redcliffe, I'll give him his boots and switch him over to Catona's high stats Elven Enchanter Robe, cause he's a free-baller! (Metalocalypse term) I really hate seeing Alistair in the heavy and massive armor EVERYONE dresses him in, I really like him in the Dwarven armor (medium) if he's not wearing the Duncan warden armor. Sten also, I like seeing him in the Chainmail (medium) armor, both of their bodies are way too hot to have them hidden in big armor! Not if you have Awakening. If you have Awakening installed you can cap out at level 40. I use console commands all the time and I've had a lot of trouble with the add party, don't use that one! There are 2 console command mods I really recommend, the Make CONSOLE commands visible and Console - Add Points (updated for Awakening!) Initially I use the runscript zz_supercrit player, givexp 10000000000000000000000000000, then I add the points with the Console-Add Points mod, then I'll use runscript pc_immortal and finish with runscript zz_money 1000000000 if you play the city elf, you can't add that much money, it goes to a negative. Remember with the commands, if you add something wrong and give it too many numbers, you can reverse it by using the negative, let's say you type in runscript givespec 10 using the mod, well that's too many specializations so you can then type runscript givespec -10. And that negates the command. Good luck and no more adding party members! ;) The negative also works with party members. When I first played Leliana, I didn't realize you really have to be careful and follow the correct order for her to like you. If you add approval points too high and too soon, you'll miss the conversation option for a romance so by the time I found this out, I was already at 100 with her so all I did was runscript zz_addapproval Leliana -90 and brought down the approval rating to start over and get the right conversation options. This comes in handy!

Thandal, this is a very interesting alternative! Great idea! I don't hate Morrigan but she is only in my party for the first quest I do, the werewolves, after that, she stays home and tends the fire. Me and the boys take it from there. I will never play Leliana again. I have had so many broken endings because of her pushiness at coming along with me, I've gotten so angry, I've deleted the game. Nope, she gets the boot in Lothering, never to be seen again. I played her a few times in the beginning just for some screenshots and a couple videos and that's it, she's history in my games. EA has no shame when it comes to milking the proverbial cash cow, they do it all the time. BUT, I actually like the Darkspawn Chronicles. I thought it was fun, no endings to piss me off like Awakening, for the cost of 2 beers and about the same time to play it as to drink them, I had a blast. I've played it through a couple times just to relieve stress. Hmm...I recently made an Arcane Warrior and wanted to use these mods for 2H and Shield skills for them but they didn't work. I have another one installed where you have a ball of energy as a shield but...hmm. Did you have the ball of energy installed when you had the all spells installed? Also, there are a few things to do with the ASCL mod to make sure it works. First of all, I also use the Awakening in the OC mod along with the ASCL. I have made a folder in the My Documents\Bioware...\override folder named ASCL. In it I have put the required files from the Awakening in the OC mod as well as the original files we had to move for the ASCL. Also, you need to make a folder in the addins for the ASCL mod as stated in the description. The actual mod itself are 2 DAZips, one for Origins and one for Awakening. By making these folders and useing the OC mod, you are allowing the spells from Awakening to be played with in your Origins part of the game. It sounds complicated but just follow the directions of what to copy and paste where and it will make for a fun game. When you use the runscript addtalent 4020 cheat you'll get the rogue icon: http://www.ladymoiraine.com/modules/gallery_HoT/albums/album186/ascl_1.jpg If you have installed the ASCL correctly, you'll get the options EXCEPT if you are playing a rogue. For some reason you don't get the complete warrior talents. All of my mages use Blood Magic first, then duel swords second. I use the runscript addtalent 4020 so my mages are also rogues along with the All Spells Can Learn mod, all my mages also have the templar (holy smite) and warrior (massacre) ablilities as well as rogue ablities which I use stealth alot. Arcane Warrior to me is just another specialty of which I have all of them but my mages are always Blood Mages/Shapeshifter/Spirit Healer/Battle Mage/Arcane Warrior/Keeper in that order. My mages never use sword and shield, only duel weapons. And they never, ever wear armor. We have rock armor for that.

I had to have someone explain to me what AoE is but that means Area of Effect. ;)

I'm very confused but I have a few things to say. First of all, I am a Sims3 player (sims2 also) and the first thing I do as a Sims player is NOT use the launcher or downloader if I can help it. I don't use any launchers, not for Fallout, Mass Effect, Oblivion or Dragon Age. I do everything I can to bypass the launcher. You can to. Just go to Program Files\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins the daorigins is an icon of a sheild and it is the .exe file you need to start the game. Right click on it and Send to Desktop (create shortcut). Once you have that icon on the desktop, try starting the game from that. When the game starts you'll see your options like Resume, New Game etc, look for Downloadable Content. Click on that and you should now see some tabs, you want the tab that says Installed Content. The mods you install from the DAZip or DAUpdater or DAMod manager will show up there. If you uncheck one of the boxes and go into the game, you'll get a force load message. You don't have to have an "official" DLC to access the Installed Content, just have a mod that is installed via any of the methods I described. If you have a mod that is installed via the My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder, those mods don't show up in the Installed Content and if you remove them, they do not give a Force Load message. Like I said, I'm really confused as to your problem but I hope this might clear a little bit up. I avoid using launchers at all costs, only when I have to do I actually use them. For the Sims3, I use the 3booter to start that game, I don't even use the .exe file. Anything from EA is bad, especially their launchers and download managers! Very bad!

Just click on Force Load underneath the message. I always save then reload the saved game so you're not playing from the force load.

Since the Anyone Can Marry Alistair mod, my guys always marry Big Al and become Queen. :) I haven't tired of it yet and have played through 14 times now, just finisihed off another game last night. Zevran does always stick around though, after all, he's the bed warmer.
