  1. I misread the wiki, I thought that making a Daughter of Coldharbour involved both a sire and Molag Bal however it seems that only Molag Bal is involved. The wiki does however, very clearly state that all Daughters of Coldharbour are vampire lords. I am also aware that pure blood does not equal vampire lord, I have made it very clear that this is only the case for vampires of Harkon's bloodline. As for the members of harkon's court, it's more than likely that some of them actually are vampire lords, just because you never see them transform doesn't mean that they can't. As for the mod, I haven't actually touched Skyrim in many months so discussing Elder Scrolls Lore currently holds far more appeal for me.
  2. Where are you getting this information? UESPWiki contradicts and refutes everything you're saying. As for Harkon having fathered Serana before contracting vampirism, I've already mentioned that. If a vampire lord turns one of it's genetic children it passes on the vampire lord trait. Serana is definitely a vampire lord because. a)She is Daughter of Cold Harbour and a member of the Volkihar bloodline meaning that she is pureblooded and thus a vampire lord. b) She was turned by her father who is the first of the Volkihar bloodline which means that if the above wasn't true she would still be a second generation Volkihar vampire and thus a vampire lord. c)She is the genetic daughter of a vampire lord and was turned by said vampire lord so even if she was neither a first, second or third generation vampire she would still inherit the vampire lord trait. d)She can turn your character into a Vampire lord which means that she is either a first or second generation vampire lord. It is true that it is possible to become a vampire lord regardless of generation if you are born under certain star signs but this would mean that getting bitten by any vampire in Skyrim would achieve this result and this is not the case for your character. 3. Not all vampires created by Molag Bal become Vampire lords, that is a trait unique to Harkon's blood line. Serana is a Daughter of Cold Harbour which means that, in addition to being turned by a pureblooded vampire (Harkon) Molag Bal Himself was involved in her turning thus making her a pureblood of clan Volkihar and a vampire lord. Serana is also the genetic child of Harkon which would allow her to have the vampire lord trait passed on to her even if she wasn't a Daughter of cold harbour or a third or earlier generation of vampire. Beyond that there's the fact that only first second and third generation vampires (of the Volkihar bloodline) can be vampire lords so if Serana wasn't of the first or second generation she would be unable to turn you into a vampire lord. Why she never transforms in game is a mystery. As for why I'd want them around? It just doesn't make sense to me that you'd be the only person who Harkon ever turned personally, he is the father of the second oldest vampiric bloodline in existence after all.
  4. I was thinking of making a mod that would add few brand new creatures and I was wondering if this would be an unreasonable first project for someone with next to no mod experience. My mod will probably have: New textures New/tweaked behaviours Edited Meshes New animations I was also wondering what tutorials/resources I should look at and what tools I would need before I start making my mod.
  5. This mod includes a fix for the arrow despawn distance. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51222/?
  6. Vampire Lords are pure blooded vampires and can pass on their ability to transform to their "children" and "grandchildren" further generations are lose this power. However, people born under certain star signs and mortal descendants of Lord Harkon can gain the power of the vampire lord. This means that my mod concept is lore friendly as long as Vampire Lord encounters are sufficiently rare.
  7. Maybe it's a little lore unfriendly but, that hasn't stopped a lot of other mods from being made. And besides, it's wouldn't be totally unreasonable to assume that there are a few other vampire lords that that the dragon born wasn't initially aware of.
  8. I want to see a mod that adds some random Vampire Lord encounters, ideally making it so that vampire attacks at higher levels occasionally include a Vampire Lord leader.
  9. Crimson tide is likely one of the culprits, use enhanced blood textures instead. Another issue could be the Lanterns of Skyrim - All in one - Climates of Tamriel.eps files, you are only meant to have one of them active in your load order.
  10. Are you installing them from the NMM mods folder?
  11. You only need to run FNIS if you have mods that add or modify character animations which is why it's recommended for mods such as dance of death or dual sheath redux. If you need FNIS but don't have it NPCs will be frozen (It's really hard to miss). Unlimited bookshelves is on Skyrim Project Stability's mod blacklist and may be causing some of your CTDs.

  13. I have a heavily modded Skyrim that CTDs/freezes once every few minutes while outdoors. After a long struggle to get Skyrim to run properly I've come to the conclusion that the issue is mod conflicts. I'm not sure which mods are conflicting and would be grateful if someone could look through my load order and tell me which mods might be causing me problems. Active Mod Files: .esp files that I've merged If any of you want to suggest other methods for increasing my game stability here's a rundown of what I've already tried. Run Boss. Cleaned that Boss said needed cleaning. Made a bashed patch (this patch only touched my leveled lists). Merged some of my simpler mods (nothing with world space or cell edits). Downloaded and installed ATTK power loader. Unparked My CPU.
  14. First of all make sure you have followed all of boss' suggestions concerning mod cleaning and patch downloads. Second of all, download Wrye bash and make a bashed patch to put at the end of your load order (this is to make sure that your item mods and creature mods cooperate with eachother). And lastly try using ATTK power loader.
  15. I haven't seen this before but I have used a lot of mods so, by process of I've been able to narrow it down to these mods. I realize that this isn't ideal but better than nothing.
  16. I figured out the issue, my .ini files were set to "read only" so that the skyrim launcher wouldn't mess with my enb, for some reason this was preventing my map from loading properly.
  17. I didn't find anything saying uLockedTerrainLOD=. This what was in the skyrim.ini [MapMenu]sMapCloudNIF=0bWorldMapNoSkyDepthBlur=1fWorldMapNearDepthBlurScale=0fWorldMapDepthBlurScale=0fWorldMapMaximumDepthBlur=0fMapWorldYawRange=3600.0000fMapWorldMaxHeight=130000.0000fMapWorldMinHeight=5000.0000
  18. When I open up the world map in skyrim it comes up blank with all the quest markers at the edges of the screen, the only map mod I have installed is "A Quality World Map" by Icepenguin. This mod is not the problem, I have uninstalled and started a new save but still the problem persists. I have Included a screenshot of my world map. If additional information is required please let me know. On a side note, how do I add spoilers to my posts.
