  1. I'll be honest Oblivion's a pain in the ass to mod compared to FO:NV, Skyrim, and FO4. Use Wrye Bash or Oblivion Mod Manager for mod management. Yes... It auto-detects the script extender if it's copy-pasted into the game directory. If you continued using NMM there's a little arrow you use to get it to let you switch between Oblivion, OBSE, etc. You can't always believe if there's a newer version or not from NMM. Firstly because it can't even count right... You can have V4 or something of a mod. It'll show V4.000/V3.999. It'll act like V3.999 is the new version you need to get potentially. You have to know which version you need yourself. Rule of thumb is the top one with the most recent upload date and numbers. If you need patches get those too. For mod specifics, you need to follow the instructions for each mod. Nexus doesn't carry dlc content. The only way you can get that is by having it included in your version or by buying them or *redacted*. We don't suggest crimes here. --Drake
  2. So after a lot of trouble I finally got my skyrim game functional but encountered a big issue that I think is because I got windows 10 for legendary: Terrible FPS. Choppy, stuttering, yet high if I'm not turning... So to stop that as suggested elsewhere I went and used bethini to fix that. That worked but... This happened as well: I just want all the effects to not show as big ass blurry squares. I don't know what thing in the bethini settings caused that but I used the recommended tweaks... That's literally the only thing wrong with my game now. I tried looking around and other peoples issues either went unanswered or had a solution that was unrelated to mine or had a broken link. This is on classic by the way.
  3. Yeah! 900/1000 GTXs and i7's are outdated. We're all flying around in hover cars now.
  4. I so enjoy the countless random crashes the program has that'll disrupt a download, the fact that the program leaves uninstalled mods esps/bsas behind in the data file and how it shits itself if you ask it to reinstall a mod... Which has to be fixed by relaunching NMM... Sometimes. Other times you gotta uninstall it and reinstall it 10 times. Then there's the abrupt "problem" during installing that'll occur for ??? reason. The issue before that also causes a "problem" by the way. Then there are the fantastic times where the mod won't install correctly at all because meshes/textures get lost along the way! Good for you all the program hasn't let you down yet. It has let down MANY people and that is exactly why people end up using other ones instead. If that weren't apparent there wouldn't be a ton of people across Reddit, Nexus, etc. saying the same exact issues. You can't blame users for technical issues from a program that has had regular feedback about the very problems listed above and other ones that I'm sure other people have dealt with. I've used the program for across three years and haven't noticed any sort of improvement. It's only great if you want to manage a small list of mods and you manually install the bigger things that could get messed up by NMM. That's an experience I've had in 3 years of using the program and no noticeable improvements. The amount of time dealing with issues is time that far exceeds what could've been spent perfecting mod organizer :/. Oh, the regrets!
