  1. Torchlight 2 is in great need of your services, DARN. Play the game for a while with the SYNERGIES mod, follow the thread at Runic, and Do What You Do. PLZ? The UI and inventories have come a long way since release (especially given that the mod toolkits have yet to be released). http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=40850 I made mention of (okay, I invoked) DARN on page 20 of this thread.
  2. I'm running into a really odd bug. Oblivion modded heavily, Frans Levelled Items & Creatures being the biggest mod I have, and probably relevant to this, or Armamentarium for Frans. The bug does this: sometimes when I "take all" in a container, the UI exits like it should, then at the top I get messages that seem to go on forEVER, saying that my character is EQUIPPING a series of weapons and armor that I don't even have, and which my character has never even seen. One after another, "eqiopped Longsword en Burning" "eqipped foosword en enfeeblement", etc. One of my mods is responsible, I am guessing. I just started experiencing this at Clevel 16, and it happens on containers, chests, fleshy pods, dead creatures, and always when I choose "take all". But not ALWAYS. I can reload my last streamsave and loot the exact same container with no problems. I've not recently added or removed any mods. ALSO: What mods do that to the descriptions of items? (EN instead of OF before the suffix)
  3. My map markers for the local map have all disappeared. I searched for the last 3 hours, tearing my hair out now. I have about 100 mods running. No major overhauls, just Fran's complete. I am using DarNified UI. I am familiar with, and use regularly, the bashed patch and OBMM. I just tried to solve it by installing Map Marker Overhaul. I also tried to solve it by installing another colored map. I tried changing the mapshader value in INI from 0 to 1 and back again. I tried un- and re-installing DarN-UI. Not working. I have tried everything recommended on every thread I could find in three hours regarding this issue. Does TES4LODGen alter cell (3,3)? Altering cell (3,3) is said to cause this very bug. IS THERE A LIST OF MODS SOMEWHERE ONLINE WHICH LISTS WHICH MODS ALTER CELL 3,3, and which shouldn't be used under any circumstances, and which should be deleted from all mod sites as though they contained virii?? Is there a solution to this problem? -EDIT- YES THERE IS. It wasn't a mod's fault, but mine: Per TweakGuides for Oblivion, I changed a couple things in the INI: uGridstoLoad=7 (guide says I "should" keep it at 5, I should have) uInterior cell buffer=32 uExterior cell buffer=102 I changed them back to 5, 6, and 72 respectively, and my local map markers are back. The original values for cell buffers are 3 and 36, so I doubled them. GOD I hope TESV is stable.
  4. I sat down and read Warp in the West again today. I never did get it when I'd skimmed it before. Just an odd story, I thouht. it didn't seem to explain the lore I knew, although I'm not quite as hardcore as some, having not played Daggerfall or Arena, so maybe that's something that was covered in those games' lore. I didn't think so, though, because the book probably would also have existed in TES3:Morrowind. Remember as you read this that TESIV:Oblivion was being planned even before all the expansions to Morrowind were out, AND, even in vanilla Morrowind, there was a book, a teaser for the next game I've always thought, called "On Oblivion". The account takes place 3 decades before the events in TesIVOblivion. If I may, from the UESP Wiki, on the event. After reading the news at Nexus about the next Elder Scrolls game being set two centuries after the events of Oblivion, I started thinking about that sweet , and speculation I'd heard about it perhaps being TESV. The news coupled with that vid AND the book, makes ya go hmmm..... From the book, Warp in the West, found in Oblivion, about a strange even that happened in 3E 417, sixteen years prior to the events of Oblivion, which seem to contain shades of that very video, and the latest TESV "leak": Hmmm, no? Heh. Regardless, C.F.W. applies, as usual with TESgames. Can't Freakin' Wait. ;D
  5. Regarding the previous exchange between burb and LH. It is quite refreshing to see maturity displayed in an online forum. Heavy moderation and membership is key. Just try to read the comments from a random sample of 10 y**t*be videos. See if you can read them all without developing an eye tic.
  6. It's been a while. Love the Nexus sites, first off. Been a mod-player for a while, since Morrowind's early modding days. Not a modder myself, but I enjoy immensely watching a single game evolve, with participation in that evolution by modders and folks like myself. Morrowind is still evolving. Angband, an Archetype of what we see here, using the same evolution techniques, that is, by players and by coders/modders, is still evolving...arguably since 1984. Think about how long that is. 25 years. Imagine what Fallout 3 or Oblivion will look like after evolving for a quarter century. It takes players and modders both... And a good forum. Thanks, to all who make Nexus, you're essential to it all. One thing I would like to see, and it's quite minor. A link to TESNexus from Fallout3Nexus. You got one from there to here, but not vice-versa.
