  1. I can already tell you're coming up with look and better usability for the site, it's exciting to watch. One thing i'm sure you've heard requested is a better search engine. It's so rare to get what I want through the existing search engine on the site, that I don't even try anymore, I go to google or bing to be directed back to your site to get what I want. It may be that it's cost prohibitive or there are other factors i'm unaware of. I can live with google, yet it's so tempting to try your search and get frustrated again. My OCD maybe, It would also help if I could spell better i'm sure, and yet... Whether you can improve the search engine or not, i'm still going to love you guys for the care and energy you all put into having this magnificent tool available to us. You guy's simply ROCK! Thanx!
  2. Thanx, I'm wondering how you can determine if it's a server problem? It's usually me, so I go through all the " where did I screw up" stuff 1st. It would be nice to be able to check to see if it's a server issue when nothing I've done works.
  3. Thanx, as always for your well thought reply's and comments Dark0ne. Your cool head and direction to appropriate thinking helped a lot as this developed. Miss communication is the bane of our times. Perhaps we've been given a great lesson in true communication through this. In all the stories I read and opinions I heard, I still am not sure what Bethesda and valve were really trying to accomplish. I think maybe they forgot that they have heart, we all do sometimes. Certainly the modders of this community have heart. Significant enough for B. & V. and steam to listen. It will be hoped that as we move on from this, we'll all be able to get a good laugh out of it. We can really be silly sometimes. One thing that has come of it for me has been a deeper understanding of how much some modders put into, Time and Energy wise, to their works. Love of the craft goes a long way, yet that Love can go both ways buy tapping the donate button and recognizing some of the work has true worth. My Skyrim experience has been fully upgraded buy the many mods that I enjoy. I can't imagine playing a vanilla game again.
  4. In response to post #23600354. You speak for the part of me, that loves being a part of this. Well put.
  5. In response to post #23604199. #23605849 is also a reply to the same post. A well considered point of view, thank you. Also thank you for the how to vids, they have been a God send. truly a gift.
  6. In response to post #23606874. Thank you for taking the time to post your point of view. I view mods from the user-enjoyer point of view. i hadn't considered it from your perspective. your points were well made and considered, that helps us as we move forward. well done!
  7. Thanks Dark0ne, Your ability to communicate succinct well thought replies to the concerns of this amazing community always make me glad i found it. Your care for the stewardship of the site and it's usability shines through, every time you post. I don't know, but I would think i'm probably a little beyond the normal demographic in the community, I've got 60 whispering in my ear. I've played video games for years. I learned long ago that a few moments of hack & slash, with a few, got to stop and think about moments thrown in is a great way to put the responsibilities of life and job , back into a more manageable perspective. I really enjoyed Skyrim when I came across it. I got stuck somewhere in the game and my son, ( being afraid I would shoot the computer) suggested I u tube it. I did, and heard a mention about some site called nexus. It's been 4 or 5 yrs now, and watching the site, and the community grow has been an absolute joy. The Heart of this community that so attracts me comes from the evident desire of the modders to Give and Share freely, for the love of it. It would be Heart breaking to see that motive change to Getting, as in money. Lets keep it coming from Love Thanx.
  8. I guess we have to take the good with some of the bad, that's life. It's heartening to know you guys are on the stick and hep to the bad guys. The mods are fun, but what trips my trigger is the community that makes them and supports them. I expect ants at a picnic, and i'm glad that Dark0ne and the gang are there with the big can of raid! You guys rock!
