I've been using a perk planner to try and create a template for a character that I can do the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests in one go since they share a lot similarities. However, I am having is I am running into the problem of not having enough perks to fulfill both of these roles at the same time. I find most of the pick pocket perks to be completely useless TBH, but I don't know how necessary they'd be for doing the thieves guild quests. I've seen a lot of people talk about how they've done both with one character. Is there really a need for pick pocket perks?

LOL GOTY. How many different GOTY awards are there now? It doesn't matter. GOTYs are just like advertisement slots on network television. The person who pays the most gets the best prime time advertisement slot. Or in this case, the person who paid for the most advertisement wins the award.

I use either J'Zargo or Kharjo, but mainly because I love the Khajiit voices. I could listen to them talk all day long. Kharjo becomes a pretty beastly tank in ebony armor.

As far as I know, they only cannibalize their dead, and only family members, as a way of respecting those that came before them. Something to do with the circle of life and all that jazz. I honestly don't know too much about this though.

Is it a real language, based on a real language (or combination of languages), completely made up and invented like Klingon, or is it just random gibberish someone came up with just for the song? I cannot find any information on this any where. I'm curious and want to know more about this "dragon tongue".

This is the public education system we're talking about here... Yeah, I think the better question is HOW you came up with this formula. Did you do some data mining or is this based on empirical evidence you found through game play?

Every time my internet goes out I can't play any of my Steam games. It throws a massive fit and refuses to even start. Keeps giving connection error messages. Won't even let me go into offline mode unless I have an active internet connection, which completely defeats the entire purpose of having an offline mode. Apparently, the offline mode will only work if you have an internet connection to "get permission" to go into offline mode. Makes no god damn sense. In before some idiot comes in and parrots how offline mode works for them and nothing ever goes wrong on Steam for anyone. These people have never actually tried to use the offline mode function. Especially in a situation where Steam can't still call home at a moments notice. They just assume that because the option to go into offline mode exists and it will work when they need it. I am waiting for the day when Gabe finally retires, but before he does he sells Steam off for a nice fat retirement bonus. At this point the new owners are gonna go all draconian on us and everyone is gonna hate Steam. Then maybe people will realize how utterly retarded it is to put all of your eggs in the same basket. A basket that has a switch on it that will dump all the eggs on the floor when pushed. Oops... I didn't really mean for this to turn into a rant. Anyway, these are my feelings on Steam. I honestly only use Steam because Skyrim and two other games I play requires it. I'll never use Steam at all if I can help it.

This. The other possibility is the weapon flew through the wall. When I've fought NPCs that do the disarm shout in the past I've seen my weapons fly straight through certain walls. One time when I was standing next to a wall when hit by the disarm shout I actually saw the weapon go right through the wall.

Because it clutters up the quest log? You may have not noticed but there is currently no way to sort quests right now. It all gets lumped into one gigantic mess of a list that will extend forever if you don't do every quest as you get them. In many cases you don't even have a choice. The quest gets thrust on you simply by walking by some random NPC, or they walk up to you and give you the quest without even asking.

I don't understand what the problem is. Put 31% resistance on two different pieces of armor and you've got 62%. 62% is a very nice bonus. 3 pieces of armor (don't forget you can enchant rings and necklaces) and you've got 93%. What were you expecting? To be able to put 100% on a single piece? I'm honestly not seeing what the problem is here.

Open the console with ~. Click on the preacher. Type "disable" without quotation marks. ???. Profit.

I play a Khajiit. The worst I get from towns people is, "What do you want, cat?"

I had Steam do the same thing to me. I eventually found copies of the unpatched files and reverted back to the unpatched 1.1 TESV.exe so I could bypass Steam completely. The "offline" mode isn't a true offline mode either. Before it will let you play games in offline mode you have to "verify" your games online before it actually lets you play them offline. So if your internet connection goes out suddenly and you want to play a single player game, Steam needs to first go back online to let you play your games "offline". The entire system makes no god damn sense and just screams, "Haha, we have your money AND we control your computer. f*** you!"

Know where I can get this file? See, this is the kind of s*** that makes me hate Steam with a raging passion. The worst of it, the pirates that this so called service protects against are completely unaffected by this problem. I only installed Steam for the purpose of playing Skyrim. I will never, EVER, use Steam if there is another option. I've been doing Google searches trying to find ways to solve this problem and I've found out more potential problems with Steam. Apparently, changing the setting to not auto-update isn't even permanent, and at any random point in time Steam will decide to revert it back to auto-update. Someone post the non-Steam TESV.exe please. I will love you long time if you do.

That just has the same effect as unplugging my ethernet cable. Still won't let me change the update setting.

So I'm trying to prevent Steam auto-patching Skyrim to the 1.2 patch. However, the normal method for doing this isn't working. Normally you would just start Steam in Offline mode by unplugging your internet cable before starting Steam, right clicking the game in question, going to the updates tab, and then changing it to never auto-update. Problem is, Steam won't let me change it. Its locked at the auto-update option. Friend of mine was having the exact same problem. So he tried a different method. On his computer he tried to quickly disable the auto-update option while Steam was in online mode. Unfortunately, in the time it took for him to disable it, Steam had already deleted the related files that were going to be patched when it started the auto-update procedure as soon as Steam started. While this did stop the download, he is now completely unable to play Skyrim as several files are now missing from his Skyrim folder. Is there ANY method that might work here? I really don't want the 1.2 patch as its obvious this patch breaks way more than it supposedly fixes.

I just hid behind the pillars and kept peeking out and throwing non-dual cast Ice Storms at him, one right after another. He seemed to be taking more damage from the constant AOE effect of Ice Storm than the direct damage of Fireball or Chain Lightning. I think its because he doesn't move very fast combined with the place being a very confined space, so this kind of situation really maximizes time spent in the AOE. When I'd run out of mana I'd just stay hidden behind a pillar and use Equilibrium in one hand while spamming fast heal (with 50% bonus healing perk) in the other. Full mana rather quickly doing that. This was a really easy fight for me, but he did have a boat load of HP. The Thalmor guy after Moreki was a complete joke. Soon as he was done talking his bulls*** to me I hit him with Unrelenting Force and killed him with 3 non-dual cast fireballs before he recovered from my shout. Then I had fun by going all Sith Lord on his body with Sparks. Pushed him around the room like a grocery cart. I had WAY more fun than I should have doing that... Freakin hate the Thalmor.

What size are "black souls" considered to be, anyway? I'm at this point in the Azura's Star quest and I'm wondering whether which I should take.

That was physical copies sold. It didn't include digital downloads from Steam itself. Steam sold s*** loads though. No actual numbers though since Steam rarely releases that information.

Nope. There is no release date either. Theres a particularly nasty rumor going around that Bethesda is purposefully holding back the creation kit until after they've released a few DLCs. With Oblivion, the player created mods people downloaded for free ended up being massively better than any DLC Bethesda created and they felt it hurt their DLC sales. If this is at all true then the creation kit won't be out for a while. Its only a rumor though.

They DO level with you. You just broke the game with your min/maxing. Seriously, if you want to play the game without breaking it, don't combine any of the tradeskills with another.

This is incorrect. I remember in Morrowind doing a series of quests for Ahnassi that eventually leads to her divorcing her mate because he broke his oath to her. Then you become Ahnassi's "special friend" and she lets you use her house.

I'm just curious, but is that with or without perks in archery?
