What? You can use an ATI card with any recent motherboard. You couldn't run them in crossfire, but from what I see, crossfire (and SLI) aren't a silver bullet for every game on the market anyway. Price on the 480 is still getting picked out of thin air, nobody knows a concrete figure. Come to think of it, nearly everything currently published about these GPUs is rumor. I wouldn't put all your eggs in one basket for a video card, and I certainly wouldn't rule out getting a Radeon HD5 series card altogether.

I got 40-ish hours into the original campaign and then wound up having to do some computer fixing and lost my saves. I know when I get Awakening I can create a new character but I want to get the benefit of importing a "finished" character. If anyone has a female human rogue or warrior let me know. I hope this is the right place to ask for this. Thank you.

Hmm, well, I've never finished the original game. My inclination is to grab this expansion and play IT instead, but that would cheapen the experience I think. I know how Origins ends but finishing it myself at least once would feel better. I got 40 hours into the game or so and lost my saves. Back to square one. Hi, I'm getting closer to trying to finish the game once. The catch is that I have to start over as I lost my saves. I was going to try the Song of Death rogue, but does it work with the most recent patch? I'm also terrible at back stabbing, hopefully I can improve. Thanks.

I see that there is a specific enbseries release for Dragon Age, but I also read somewhere that the Burnout (racing game) version of ENB works well also. If anyone here uses it, which version do you use and what settings did you customize? Thanks.

I haven't had a CTD I can remember for some time now, but today I got patch 1.7 and mothership zeta going. I was in the cryo room and I opened my pipboy and clicked 'data', and the game crashed to desktop. Anyone else had this happen that had smooth sailing before hand? Thanks.

Thank you. I've seen that one and used a lot of it's ideas. However changing the cell buffer, I think it was, caused problems for me. At least I thought that was the tweak that would work. What tweak in that article are you referring to? Thanks.

Is there a setting in any of the ini files that reduces stuttering when buildings come into view? I run a large address aware exe, have 8gb of ram and a q9550/gtx 285 with view distance decreased and I still get stuttering when buildings/terrain load, especially in springvale near the school for some reason. Any help would be great.

Could I merge some item mods with Fo3edit?

I put Oblivion away after playing it when it originally came out because I had some issues and complaints against it. Now I'm desperate for something to play and I wanted to give Oblivion another try. What I was wondering was, what order do you install the game, dlc, official patches and unofficial patches so I don't get errors that require me to start over? Second, is FCOM a good way to completely change the game or is it too hard/risky to set up? Last question (for now), what are the best world retextures? I have a good Quad core PC so I am open to even the craziest textures. Thanks for any guidance. The Oblivion mod "pool" is so big by now that I'd drown in it if I go out alone.

I don't know whether to support the ghoul or the brain. I tried once and supported the ghoul, but he was so smug about it I wanted to reload and try the other path. I did, and the brain betrayed me (surprise surprise). I think the best solution is to kill them both and take everything, but are there consequences for that?

Hi, can you go to this website: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest And choose Fallout 3 from the drop-down list and then test? That should tell us for good and all whether or not you can run it.

Can you open Fallout 3 launcher (you'll need the cd in the drive) and then click on 'Data Files' and tell me what's there?

Have you installed any mods? If not, it's unlikely that your laptop meets the requirements for the game.

This sounds really strange. I didn't even know that you could get all the DLC + the full game in one installer. I will see what I can find out.

Look in the directory for a *.exe file called uninstall or uninst*** (where the *** equals some number) and try that.
