I see. Well I haven't had problems with corrupted saves, only once, when the computer crashed during auto-saving. Luckily, I had a previous save which wasn't very far before the corruted auto save.

Probably a stupid question, but what means when the save game gets "bloated" ?

Might be a stupid question but are you sure they heal themselves with a spell? They might heal with a help of potions. Also, when they are silenced, they still can use scrolls, so they might shoot a destruction spell at you or two. If it's not that, then I don't know what could have caused this.

Try mixing the potion with "Restore Attribute" effect. For example - Restore strength, restore endurance ... Other option is using the spell with the same effect. You can buy scrolls with Restore Attributes too.

Nashod, Savlian says that he is tired of fighting when you bring him the count's ring. After that he gives you his Kvatch cuirass and the quest finishes. If I know correctly, all Savlian does after the quest is stand in the castle, or in this situation, in front of the castle entrance.

I would say Arkved's tower, where you needed to go for Vaermina's orb. That sure was the scariest dungeon in Vanilla Oblivion for me. The scariest area in it was the room where there were hanging corpses all around you.

Hello. I had recently done a Battle for Kvatch quest where you must kill the Daedra which are swarming the city. But all of the Kvatch guardsmen died in the battle except for the Captain, who is marked as essential NPC. This made me sad as I am always trying to keep the non-respawning NPCs alive. In my previous game where I was not using mods yet they all died too and I made special arrangements for the battle in my current game. I recruited 8 of the Imperial Legion watchmen with the Companion Share and Recruit mod. And at the end of a battle only one survived. Now this was probably due to the Francesco's mod which raised the number of enemies at the castle yard. But despite that, I see that it is very difficult to keep the soldiers alive. I mean, I thought that many Legion men would do nice job helping the Kvatch guards with the help of me healing them with spells and potions. So I am wondering, did someone here manage to keep someone of the Kvatch guard alive? Because if they did, I would really need the advice how to keep them alive. Anyway, thanks for your time.

Hey! Thanks for the replies, I just started exploring now. I find the site Seventh Sanctum pretty useful not just for character's names but also enchanting items. I meant how to name it in the way like vanilla has mage, warrior, thief, assassin etc. Well I wanted to start immediatelly so I left it as adventurer :P Sorry if I had not been clear enough.

Hello. I am about to start a new game of Oblivion. It is not the first time play, I have played it with two characters before and I think Oblivion is the best game I have played so far. Last time I played it was one year ago, but this time I will use major mods too. OK, now for the thing I need advice for. I am starting as female Imperial with thief birth sign. I was thinking of creating a custom class with these major skills: -blade -marksman -hand to hand -light armor -destruction -restoration -mercantile (this last skill maybe changed) Now, I do not know how to name this class. The way of playing I decided to try was something between monk and mage with bow. I will be using mostly bow, blade as a backup weapon and hand to hand just so I try it, because it seems like fun. But I will also use magic skills with the emphasis on destruction and restoration. The last skill I want to choose one from the stealth group, not fighting or magic based. Now I want my class to be named somehow good, which would describe this way of playing as much as possible. Another thing I need help with is naming my character. Now I maybe do not have much imagination to remember any good woman name, but I do not care. So any suggestion is acceptable. Okay that is all I can remember for now. Any advice will be appreciated and thanks for your time.
