  1. Detroit. It's already a Wasteland. Actually I would like to see all of Michigan because you wouldn't need the obtrusive invisible walls, just have the Mackinaw bridge be blown out and a barrier across the bottom.
  2. There is no set order but you have to keep in mind that your overriding the existing files. I stress that because some of your missing meshes (the red with exclamations) may be due to your not installing the files in the correct location or choosing not to completely override whatever preexisting files are there. With this in mind, there is an order you want to fallow, such as say I wanted to use Project Beauty and a body replacer. I would want to install the body replacer after the larger mod like PB since the body mod will be overwriting some of the larger mods files. Also, are you creating a Merged Patch for all your mods? That's very important. Some mods just won't work well together since they are editing the same things, so you can't have your cake and eat it too all the time. Or, some mods may work together but it could be such a trouble to make that happen that it may not be worth the attempt. Sometimes it's a good idea to start with a fresh, clean install of FO3 and put all of your mods into different folders, to plan out your installation, generally at this point you would want to install Utilities (like FOMM and FOSE) first, then UI mods (Darnui etc.), then gameplay mods (like FWE etc) then smaller mods like textures, etc. So if your load order should generally be, after ESMs, small mods followed by bigger mods (so that the larger mods can take precedence and work properly), I would say when installing it's the opposite, with larger mods coming first and smaller mods tweaking the files further later (as long as they aren't altering it where it won't work)
  3. What mods/textures are Backsteppo using for his female faces, such as here: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/5052-1-1248453768.jpg
  4. a bit off topic but it FF wouldn't be such an issue if some of the characters weren't so damned dumb about them! I know, you can set up your own AI, but it is just too limited. What you really need to do is be able to set up an AI chain like... IF: Enemy shooting ranged weapon at long range, Enemy health at >10%, Enemy clustered in group of 2 or more Than: Fireball Right now, I just have it set up to fireball ranged enemies at long range, but too often these will be the last enemies alive, they are at low health and when my melee fighters try to finish them off, they are fireballed by Morrigan to death.
  5. I think Morrigan is one of the only logical ones in the whole group. Take for example in Lothering when the townsfolk are hounding the merchant about freely giving away his personal property. She is the only one who stands up for him. Everyone else thinks you should just rob the guy and force him to give everything away for free. She makes some comments that are rash, like saying you should go straight after Loghain but it makes sense. It's not the best idea but it is certainly the idea which is truest to one's emotions. Also, she is one of the only people in the entire game who is against the Circle of Mages, a group who lobotomizes people on a daily basis. We are talking about a group who in true Torquemada style kills any spell casters who won't join them and wipes the minds of those who don't make the cut.
  6. Ok, I will do that buddah. Thankfully in the last few days they have been gone so I think maybe someone got to them already, or they moved on. As a side note... Let me see if I get this; Nexus gets ads from a company (which you work for?) which pays them for the space, but they don't really know what all the ads are, and that company gets it's ads from another company, who pays them, but they also don't exactly know what is in all of them... so some of this stuff with viruses and talking ads makes it through the strainer.
  7. That is a good tip thanks, however it doesn't really solve the issue of the Nexus sites becoming labeled as attack sites.
  8. @darkewolf I just wanted to point out about the fade dream that the main character was able to resist the illusion without being a pseudo-daemon him/herself. Now you may point out the taint, but Alistair wasn't able to wake himself from it either. I think it proves that anyone can become self aware in the Fade but only Mages usually do (doesn't it say that in the game?) or people with very strong wills, like the main character. My 2 cents about Morrigan is that she is a kidnapped child. Where else do you think the legends about the witch of the wilds stealing the children comes from... obviously it is true. Of course Morrigan has some similarities to Flemeth since she spent most of her life with her.
  9. I think Alistaire is the best, even though I am a guy and prefer to have females on my team. He is funny and has a good sense about him. I can't stand Leliana. Her religious views are childish and self righteous... you would think someone who worked as an assassin and spy would be more worldly and less prone to fall for the lies the Chantry spreads.
  10. Had the same problems. I recall the poll on the site, asking if people would rather use the Nexus or for example, Bioware's own community and I thought, why would anyone want to use the poorly organized developer website. Well now it kinda makes sense... >.>
  11. Hello, I know this is a known issue but I am just wondering what is being done about it. Several times I have been looking through the Dragonage Nexus site and had a PDF doc randomly load up and put a virus on my system. I have been able to catch them so far but it really makes one insecure about going to any Nexus site or downloading anything from them for that matter. Also, I know that the web master doesn't get to pick what kind of ads companies choose to put up after buying space on the site. However, is it possible to not run ads that auto-load movies with sound? I understand that ads keep the site running for free users, but when I have several tabs with Nexus sites open and they are all in the middle of some commercial about weight loss and something about washing my dishes all while I am trying to listen to music... that just gets really irritating.
  12. This is less a request and more of a thought pool for a mod I am working on. Personally I have more interest in the female characters of the game, and as such they will get slightly more attention. Preliminary outline of the mod is to rework the items in the game to be: A: More realistic B: More visually appealing. This will only involve the editing of texture and mesh files. Proposed changes in order of likely priority/completion: Weapons 1. Greatswords(axes etc) reduced in size to be nearly as large as longswords are now, along with reduced width and rework of mesh. 2. Longswords to be about the size of daggers (perhaps a little longer) 3. Daggers to be about the size of well... daggers! About the size of the forearm and hand of a given character. 4. Bows and Staves remain unchanged. Armor 1. Robes need more variants, total reskin and mesh of many key robes in game (legendaries etc) 2. Leather armor, particularly on females needs total rework on many key items. 3. Plate armor (heavy and massive) slightly reduced in size to be less bulky, more form fitting. Female plate armor textures adjusted to be more visually appealing. 4. Helmets need almost complete redesign from ground up, models and textures. 5. Circlets should be substituted for many helmets in game. 6. Actual hoods. Thoughts, ideas, pointers and comments welcome.
  13. It would be better to make a mod in the game which just rescales all the weapons to a reasonable size.
