  1. Great news. Mod Organizer's basic design is sooo much better for people who run lots of mods in changing combinations. I do have some concern though that trying to make one manager that will work for every game developer and engine will result in a manager that will never quite be ready. Perhaps with modern modular construction, you can get it operational for Bethesda (or Unreal, or whatever) and socket in other engines as separate, sequential modules? Regardless, congrats on the new hire and thanks for taking such a radical step. One can only move forward so far while dragging one's entire history. And that said, I too thank you for the site and the tools we've had to date. Haven't used any mod managers in a couple years, but NMM served me very well over the years. MW
  2. Folks, this is THE dumbest move I've ever seen in modding. The time to make clear that this version is a completely different take on things is NOT after you've uninstalled the old version, so that our only choices are to attempt this revolutionary new approach (and like most revolutions, it miserably failed for me) or uninstall all our mods. At that point, we're screwed either way, and hiding behind "eternal beta" is a cop-out. I was enjoying a heavily modded Fallout 3 replay in anticipation of Fallout 4 and only needed to disable the Unofficial patch to get through the Pitt for an AWOP quest line, but that's now over and with my limited time I just don't have another re-installation in me. With over a hundred mods I'd finish about the time Fallout 4 comes out. I may well eventually go back and reinstall Fallout 3 and New Vegas to enjoy future mods, but it certainly won't be using Nexus Mod Manager.
  3. Thanks for the explanation. I too have had some problems and slow downloading lately. I hadn't really thought about why or connected it to the Steam sale, although that makes perfect sense. And it certainly hadn't occurred to me to complain about it, as I'm getting tons of great content for free with a reasonable number of adverts. Who complains that they aren't getting great stuff for free quickly enough? Thanks for all the hard work, good luck moving to CDN, and congrats on the new users.
