  1. just use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4303?tab=description and download the "Remove Default Laser" option. "install" it as any other mod and copy & paste the file 7 times in the same folder. now rename the copies to lasersightbeamamber.nif lasersightbeamblue.nif lasersightbeamcyan.nif lasersightbeamgreen.nif lasersightbeampurple.nif lasersightbeamyellow.nif lasersightbeammagblue.nif <- Magsniper
  2. Ok I have to update that it's not every tree or foliage that shadows look like this. I will dig deeper into this. Really strange :D
  3. Changing the shadow quality settings makes no difference. It's really strange because it seems only foliage that moves because of wind is affected. Fans or other moving objects look fine
  4. love this game, but recently I noticed something that really bugs me. The trees/bushes that are moving in the wind cast strange shadows. It look like 3 FPS shadows, not moving in real time but only every XX milliseconds. Fans and other stuffs casting shadows on walls don't seem to have that weird problem. So it's not a general bug with shadows, but only with foliage... I made this short video right before the entrance of "The Rock" on Akila. Somebody playing on PC can confirm this or is the problem on my end? I already disabled mods (.ini tweaks and the dlss mod) to see if it's because of them, but that didn't fix the problem. Settings are everything high except shadows and particles (both middle) and motion blur (off). Any ideas?
  5. Hi, I want to make a new weapon with custom sound effects but i fail horribly... I tried to edit some existing modded weapons via FO4edit, but something is always missing. What I need: A new weapon with a custom fire, draw and reload sound. Custom ammo would be the icing on the cake. What I got: The sounds and the .nif File of the weapon. It's an all-in-one weapon nif, so no different barrels, grips or whatever. It's simply a rifle with a scope. As I said, I fail horribly at making a mod from scratch. But I am quite capable of editng existing Mods. So if anybody knows an already existing weapon mod with ALL the custom sound effects, please tell me an I try my best. Thank you
  6. Hi, i was wondering, if it is possible to change the default Pip Boy flashlight (the one you get by holding the Pip Boy button for a while) into a night vision toggle function? I am using the Pip Pad Mod, so no Pip Boy on my character's arm. Also I am a controller user, so toggling night vision on/off by holding the B-button would save me a hotkey slot. any help is appreciated.
  7. Maybe someone is able to help me... I am playing with a PS4 Controller using DS4 Windows in combination with FOSE and managed to rebind some Buttons that normally wouldn't work (like touchpad and stuff). I', happy with the configuration now but one thing is driving me nuts and I can't figure out how to fix it: I can't loot anything. Everything else seem to work, I can talk to people, barter and so on. But if I hover for example over a corpse, the Quick Loot Menu opens but I can't swtich between the items using the D-Pad on my controller or even pick the item up using my "accept" button (X-Button). If I delete my CustomControlMap.txt in the FOSE folder it works again. But I would like not being limited to the awful controller support by the game engine. My CustimControlMap.txt settings are based on this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6000 and in the comment section someone else also had the same problem. But i couldn't find a solution yet. Any help is much appreciated

  9. i personally installed the Weapon Damage Overhaul Mod and added some damage to the standard laser rifle cause i felt the same and didn't understand why he changed the damage of the Institute Laser but not the standard one. the increase is a little less in percentage: Institute: 21 => 30 (~43%) Standard: 24 => 32 (~33%) (this only affects the standard laser! for balancing i recommend also using the mentioned Weapon Damage Overhaul Mod by The Iron Rose)
  10. well i was trying the same thing as you did and found a kind of "dirty" way to achieve my goal. it is possible to wear both, the green hood and the faded visor so i decided to look after that. i replaced the meshes of faded visor with the ones of the "beanie" kind cap of the hooded rags but they were clipping through. so i edited the nif file of the beanie and deleted some triangles (i'm not an expert of mesh editing, so this is where the "dirty work" starts) and the clipping was gone (except of one very little piece on the front which i colored black with photoshop. why black? i am using the the black retextures of the hooded rags and green hood as well as the ones for mccready's outfit) it kinda works for me cause i dont use the faded visor (which i replaced as i said. i think you could also create a new item based on the faded visor but i haven't tried yet because of.. well, it just doesnt bother me cause i dont use it and haven't met many npcs yet who use it, at least after i worked this out). well, im not very good at explaining all this cause im not a professional modder and just trying things out, but anyways, here's the result. if you want further information let me know.
  11. Here you go: https://www.sendspace.com/file/aniy81 This should only be a temporary solution as it simply changes the look of the MM General uniform while keeping the stats. When the CK comes out, i'd rather like to keep the general uniforum untouched and only change the stats of the colonial buster outfit. Maybe you dont need all the mesh files i put in the folder, but that's how i think it worked for me and i'm no professional modder ;)
  12. after a little bit of testing, i managed to work out a temporary solution and changed the Minuteman General uniforum so it looks like the outfit Preston Garvey is wearing (Colonial Buster) if you like, i can send you this "mod". haven't uploaded it on the Nexus yet. If it works for you as it did for me i may do so.
