  1. Hey, I also butt in here, SKSE stopped working after latest update few days ago. Tried with all mods, without all mods, reinstall Skyrim SE, and all that. Got SKSE 2.0.8 Problem persists. Trying to launch SKSE gives a black box for few seconds and that´s it, no warnings or anything. Googling helps none, since I have no warnings. just launcher that starts up and dies about instantly.
  2. You WILL need TES5edit. Maybe even Wrye Bash. With those tools you can clean up Skyrim thoroughly and create a base for stable modding. I´m in the middle of installing 348th round of mods. I did some digging and came to conclusion that order of install is the most important thing. so that one mod overwrites certain things but not others that other mod had installed. Skyrim G.E.M.S. has some ok guides, and I have gathered a small startup list on installing: 1.Core mods; SkyUi, patches, perk mods, body altering mods etc. that change basic things. 2.Overhauls; as name says it. Graphics, sounds etc. Climates of tamriel, guard dialogue overhaul etc. 3.Content mods; armor, weapons, hair, things that ADD to game. Arise - Chapter 1, Tera Armor collection, Apachii SkyHair 4.Combat/action mods. Sorry, still in middle of compiling better examples on this one.. Dance of Death comes to mind. 5.Other heavy scripts; convinient horses for example. I compiled this by digging with google and as said earlier, still trying if it´s working. So far so good, with 40ish mods Skyrim runs with no problems. And the thing that everyone hates, READ INFO IN THE MOD!!! Author usually has pretty good knowledge on compabilities and other issues, like *ultimate HD fire effects -> Complete crafting overhaul (with weapons and armor fixes remade) -> SMIM -> ELFX -> SMIM Meshes* this above is mine, as in example.
  3. Yeah, that looks weak system, but if it has i5 and 310M, can it have only 2Gb of RAM..? I don´t know if win7 runs without 4Gb. I´d say drop all mods and make clean install, then put in SkyUi, SKSE, unofficial (separate OR legendary) patch(es). SMIM might do *some* good? Anyone? Racemenu and alternate start. some bug fixes to go with like Shadeybladey here suggested. THEN run game thoroughly to the end if it runs, enjoy it´s story as much as possible and see if you need more bug fixes. Forget heavy graphical mods for now. I got i7 @ 3.8Ghz, 16Gb of RAM and shiny GTX970 and remove and re-install mods on regular basis..
  4. Processor: i7 - 4770K at 3.7Mhz RAM: 16Gb 1333Mhz Kingston ValueRAM M.Board: Asus Z-87A HDD: 1Tb Western Digital Graphics: Brand new Asus Strix GTX 970 (which I´m not so sure if I like of. Hot and noisy. ) Power: LC power (?) 750W (I think) Cooling: Noctua NH-14 for processor, NH-12 in front of case and some no-brand on the back Otherwise I like my rig but that GTX was a smallish disappointment from the beginning as previous GTX 650 was so silent that had to check if it was still running, from time to time. Maybe I´ll upgrade case at some point, now this LC-Power is serving well. Ripjaws for RAM at some point maybe..?
  5. I tried the same thing on my game, and everything else went fine but noticed this funny thing that walking around advances Heavy Armor every now and then. And seems that Heavy Armor perks affect it instead of light armor.. Very odd, i set it as light armor and it shows up in inventory as light armor. Might it have something to do with it that i got about 100 mods installed, immersive armors and SkyRe included..?
  6. I never had any problems using SkyUi.. Only thing causing direct CTD for me is Apachii SkyHair addon to BBLuxurySuite NPCs..
  7. To be exact, Nexus has bigger mods due to workshop file size limit. But they work well together were they from workshop or via NMM. And when getting into it, some moods from Nexus require launch through SKSE to work..
  8. Everyone to each´ own end.. I´d say add some graphics and unofficial patches, then SkyUi and run with that for starters. No face or hair models or fancy naked women. Just something to fix those original (awful) graphics and enjoy the story. And as thomriis there said, many things depend on your rig. Dual core, 4Gb of RAM and at least decent gfx card (512mb-1gb of vram) and you can easily play, if not drool over sights.. And that´s just MY opinion.
  9. Giving light-armored rogue dwarven armor and a greatsword don´t really meet ends. Followers gain bonuses from appropriate equipment, tho some mods alter or adjust that by giving chance to train etc.
