Re-read. The OP said "Deer Hide" which can be crafted into leather. The only mention of pelts were in relation to mod specific added items. Nothing in this thread specifically mentions Deer Pelt, till your post. Right, I mis-red that.

It's not a mod problem, it's vanilla: Deer Pelt can't be crafted into Leather, look it up on the wikia.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not interested in a ready-to-use mod. I want to write my own mod, because I will implement this feature within others, and I need help to start making it. Further I don't want to sleep anywhere with a portable bed, I want to change fixed beds so that all of them become usable. Thank you anyway for your reply ;)

Hi all, I want to write a small mod that makes all beds usable, instead of receiving the stupid message about sleeping in someone other's bed. I do not find anything in the GECK about the mechanism that makes it as it is now. Do you know where I have to put my hands on to do what I want? I just need the basic theory for now.
