  1. I don't know how huge complex mods using FNIS or other third party software will even work anymore. If even one of them disagree with this new Steam stuff, it all goes down the toilets. I have not heard of SKSE authors but there's that to consider too. Which means most of the stuff that's going to be sold is going to be armors and swords, meshes that mod authors who build huge complex mods often need. This whole thing endangers the modding community as a whole by blocking and obstructing the relationship between authors. I don't even know how I'm supposed to go about this thing if I want to finish my quest line based new race project. If even one of the armor authors I'm working with are subscribing to this thing, I'm pooped. I'd need to ask my users to buy those armors to fully use the end project which is free ? That's nonsensical. Or do I finish my project and then update it every week, deleting the armor records on the CK every time a batch of armor goes to Steam ? And if one of those authors graciously lend me the armors I need, I'd have to go through all that DMCA stuff, agree to I don't know how many bollocks which stipulate that I am using someone else's property which is Valve's property which is Bethesda's property ? Here we are gentlemen. The moment where you pay for updates on your paid mod which needs a paid DLC of your paid game. Whatever.
  2. In response to post #24574214. #24574274, #24575204, #24575519 are all replies on the same post. What's "complete" Gribble ? A mod such as those Chesko makes is not "complete", it's a patchwork made with/using a lot of stuff from other mods. If even one of the authors of said mod disagree with the paid bull like fore did not even 10 hours ago, the mod is even less complete than before. Nothing in this whole stuff makes any sense.

Hello, for some 3 or 4 hours now I've had some kind of strange phenomenon happen when I press the green "manual" tab on a mod's page, my screen shows the middle of the description page but I can't access the download section. Same thing when I directly click on the "files" tab, nothing seems to happen, the page is not even charging as if it was static. I don't know if it's an issue with my own java or if the website is having problems right now, anyone has an idea ?
  6. Hullo, I've got a bit of an issue with the temptress race, here is my load order : I really don't know what could be causing this except for SkyRe/CharGen/Racemenu ... Do I need compatibility patches ? I couldn't find them with my laggy internet, if I do need some patches for the temptress, could you please tell me which ones ? Thanks
  7. I don't think the Thalmor are at the center of the TES story line. As an occasional writer, I'm just going to say what I'd be doing and not what I think TES's scriptwriter is doing : I'd have used the Thalmor as a placeholder and multiply references to it in conferences, comic cons and in the game itself, I'd have fed up the whole TES community with the Thalmor, while preparing something bigger. The Thalmor are the perfect "tool" for a writer to build a facade, in short a "bark" which you can peel off when you feel like it to introduce a bigger scheme, that can lead to a progression in the story or to it's completion. They're arrogant, they're powerful, they're shiny, it's just the pinnacle of a literature facade. Concerning what Bethesda could be hiding, well no surprise if it's a Daedra, right ? I would be surprised by the choice of the Daedra in question though.

Concerning the health, I think you should always set it at half your current health bar, and may have to redo it every time you level up.
  9. Totally seeing a rebellion centered questline, with Bosmer going apesh*t on the Altmers, the main character's family having been "purged" by them. A story of revenge, and fights to defend the Forest God that the Altmers are mutilating by actively hacking roads through the Valenwood forests to carry their weapons and armies. What does that story reminds you of ? C'mon it's easy ... I guess it's true what they say, every story's already been told at one point or another ...
  10. Hello, I've been trying for a long time now with 3DsMax to create a "Swain" kind of walking animation. You know, like with a cane like a wounded guy. I wanted it to activate only when the walking stick from Frostfall or one handed sword were equipped in the left hand, but my computer's HDD kind of exploded (figuratively), and I've lost most of my (lousy) work. I was wondering if someone could try it in my stead ?

I got banned from the chat due to some kind of stupid misunderstanding (long story, if I have to tell it to be unlocked I'll explain by PM), and I was told that posting something here about it would get me "unbanned". I somewhat need to get access to the chat since people there give help pretty quickly for little issues that I find kinda overkill to ask in the tech support sections. Thank you.

  13. Tried that, doesn't work, it doesn't glow, or the face gets burned one way or another even after putting my custom face textures after loading the eyes. Also, I tried that fix and it changed my race to human strangely, looks like the shape of the head is somehow linked to the race in the .tri file one way or another. Furthermore, when creating a vampire race with the underworld eyes, I'm not recognized as a vampire by the vampire factions neither, and when I take them off it works aha. I'm going bonkers
  14. Hello, yeah, I'm "that" guy you already helped thousands of time who keeps coming with another texture loadout everyday ! Mine is the CBBE's texture pack, overwrote with SG texture renewal and the wet texture option, with a bit of a "fuller lips" file I downloaded some times ago I don't know where... It worked great before, then all of a sudden, neckseamed like the b&@*$ I am ! I mean, I tried to take the wet texture and overwrite everything, then take the CBBE textures and overwrite everything, then took off the "fuller lips" file, crap is still jizzing neckseamen all over the place ! Can a bro help out a bro ?
  15. No, I'm not trolling. I mean, can't some FNIS magician use some FNIS magic to produce pimpslaps animations that uses the Ragdoll mod ? By pimpslap I mean, this kind of slap : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTIat63eY9w Tweaked a bit so it produces the Fus Roh Dah effect AND a huge slapping sound ? The reason for this mod to ever exist ? Nazeem.
  16. Hello, I have a bit of an issue with the console command, which I used 4 or 5 times to summon an item just to see if the mods I installed modified it correctly. Seems like the items ID got duplicated, and the ones I summoned became invisible in my inventory, even though their weight is actually there. Wouldn't be that much of an issue if I had only realized what I was doing before summoning 13 heavy armor sets... Now my character is constantly walking around with 750 weight, 650 of which come from those hidden items that I can't remove for the life of me... Is there a way to make them reappear so I can throw them ? Now that I write this, I wonder if going to jail and having all my stuff removed could resolve this, I'm going to try but post this topic in case there is an alternative or my crap doesn't work ! Thanks for your time.

Yea I guess Ashens are pretty receptive to that kind of mod, I mean their faces are usually round to begin with, you don't have much work to do except modify the cheek radius in the .tri, but imagine a nord with like, tons of details on her face like cheekbones, jaw bones and crap, even with the Vampire face LSC mod I don't think the whole problem would be resolved. Most of it at least ... I tried to do that, except the eyes are made in such a way that you have to touch at the .tri files to add the glowing mesh on the eyes. Like I already tampered to get the textures, basically the lineout of the eyes, with the blue ring and all, to appear in my racemenu and select it, but it's not glowing. I have, like, to become a vampire for them to glow and I get infected with the square chin disease when I do just that. F*ck me right ?

Actually, there is none man, most of them adjust textures, not the meshes that are the causes of the square chin and sunken cheeks issue, I already have one mod that is supposed to cancel any change made to your appearence as a vampire, but .tri files being what they are, it managed to delete some layers without getting close to restoring the "face shape", and that's what I'm concerned about ! I also have Better Vampires, it's really cool and I love everything so far, except the fact that the "Mortal Face" spell lasts 15 minutes and glitches often (for example when you change into vampire lord/instant travel/wait etc...) and causes some issues with some of my other mods... I assure you, this is the only mod on the nexus which does what it does, that is actually modify the .tri files in such a way that you can adjust the face to actually look like what it was before. And man, I'm just doing all that stuff just to play with the Underworld glowing blue eyes mod, JUST to do that, I'm not even interested in becoming a vampire, it's just that I really want 'em eyez, and when I do get them, I have to be a vampire and I have to undergo a traumatic plastic surgery operation that hacks through my character face and transform it into a Bogdanoff brother. (google it man, imagine what my pretty nord is going through ...)

Heeeello there, I wanted to ask about a file share concerning "Vampire face less sunken cheeks" if it's possible, looked everywhere and even tried to do the same stuff through the CK but couldn't figure it out ! Can someone be so kind as to share it with me ? Just need the rar file, I don't think it's that heavy and I've read in the chatbox from an older modder than when it was not hidden, the author authorized the share of his files, I guess he got banned or something since then ... Anyway, thanks for that !

I mean it's basically the only one doing what it does, and it's been hidden for X amount of time by it's author, whose decision I would respect if he taught people how he's done it in the CK or something :( Big respect for the mod in itself tho, couldn't figure it out after weeks of CK'ing
  21. Hello there, I came home drunk this morning from the Christmas party at my college, and I had the marvelous idea of playing with the Creation Kit. Probably thinking, in my drunken crappy mind, that I was going to create the new must-have race, get shitloads of endorsements and become the god of the modding community (what a f*#@ing prestigious honor right ?) Well anyway, all I did was to edit my Nord female race, I don't remember what kind of crap I did with it but now they all have the metallic face that you see in the CK's previews when you don't load anything but the master files. I tried reinstalling my custom texture mods through NMM, but it just went bad to worse, like completely airborne, my hangover'ed ass just installed all the textures mods in the wrong order, overwrote .nifs and .dds from other mods that shouldn't have been overwrote. Now I kinda succeeded creating the "new must have race" if you're into retarded girls with six eyes, a black neckseam separating a glowing bronze face from a burned body (I think I loaded Astrid's burnt textures on CK too, yay). Anywho, can someone help me fix this boo-boo by telling me how to give back my custom textures to the nord female face ? I'll sort out the crap with my texture and normal map mods installation, I just need them to actually stick to their faces (the female nord's) instead of letting the CK's model go through... pleasepleaseplease
