  1. I still get confused when people say "Oh, did you see the Gamescom footage?" As a way to say that the game looks terrible, did I see the same footage as everyone else? The footage recorded out of some guys camera phone in a poorly lit room? Yeah, I don't buy the 'game looks like crap' argument based off of that. Plus we've seen screenshots where they take advantage of the volumetric lighting and other features in the game that make it look really impressive. I don't want Bethesda to become Crytek, who publicly stated that they care more about graphics than a compelling story. Yeah, they nailed the graphics, but personally thats about it. The interactions feel off. Namely here I am, a supersoldier, the only hope they've got, and they're insulting me for being more machine than man! So no, I don't want them to focus more on graphics than they already are, because it looks awesome as is. To be honest, I haven't played Fallout 3, I plan on finishing a quest mod I'm working through, and then I'll see whats what with Fallout 3. As of yet, I am Loving New Vegas. And bugs don't bother me much, I played Battlefield 4 on release, I could tell something felt, weird. But I didn't really spot any blatant bugs or anything, and my only problem with New Vegas is that I can't minimize my game to look up something when I get stuck, because it crashes. My only instability with Vegas was once I started adding mods, big surprise right? Someone also mentioned "They're asking us for some 30$ DLC, and we don't even know what we're getting!" I prefer the DLC personally For this reason! Why? Because if I Knew what I was getting, that means that it is essentially content that they are putting behind a paywall because the suits with cigars thought they could get more money out of us. This way, not even the Dev's know what they're going to make, only that it will be worth the 30$ in the end.
  2. Hehehe, fight the power!
  3. I'm running a rig from around 2013, but at least it was quite good back then, and it still dominates most games, though I think Fallout 4 will mark the first nail in the coffin. GPU: Msi GTX 670 CPU: FX 8350 (standard clock at 4.2Ghz) - I'm probably going intel next time I upgrade. RAM: 8Gb G.Skill Sniper (DDR3 1866Mhz) - So beautiful PSU: 850w Gold standard (I don't remember the brand) Motherboard: Msi GD65v2 Case: Phantom 240 - Its so beautiful and stuff, I like it. Has so much spaces. CPU Cooling: Liqtech Enermax 240 - Its amazing, like man, I recommend it so much especially if you're recording, it makes your computer so quiet. Its still a great system and I run games like BF4 on ultra at 50-60fps and stuffs. Its beautiful, but I'm afraid (especially with the CPU) that I wont have much time left before it starts kicking in the dust as games drag it out behind the prospector saloon to be shot for crimes against the Mojave.
  4. If you do want to upgrade your hardware and "think you can't wait" You can wait for a few months at least. Nvidia usually releases new GPU's in the early months of the year, which will drive down the costs of current graphics cards, making it more affordable to put money into upgraded parts, allowing you to either get something that packs more punch, or just save some money. Myself, I'm sitting right around the recommended requirements, and anyone running with the AMD 8350 or similar shouldn't really worry about it, from everything I've heard, the 8350 is similar to the more "updated" chipsets like the recommended "9590" the main difference being higher quality materials being put into it. I also find it interesting that the recommended CPU is the highest one that's out for AMD, which is also not really a surprise since it was released two full years ago, and wasn't a great competitor to intel at the time. Anyways, what I'm saying is as someone who uses AMD for CPU, I'm probably going full intel next year. Anyone else out there with a GTX 670? What do you think, are you looking to upgrade? I know the 970 is better, but... 300$ worth it better?
  5. By and large, the biggest things you need to fix that I noticed right off the bat are Mic and framerate issues, along with not 100% knowing how to start your video. For mod spotlight, I'd recommend having a loose script to work with, and polish your intros so its never a question of "What am I going to say?" and then hesitating and making something up on the spot. If you're not good at improv people will notice it. What I said about the mic, I'm guessing your microphone is closer to your keyboard than your mouth, because you're slightly quiet and your keyboard is very noticeable. I don't know what mic you're using, but if possible try and acquire some sort of mic stand or scissor arm so that you can get it much closer to your mouth. This will have two effects, one will have an increased presence, aka much more bassy and cool sounding, and two, you'll be closer so you can turn down the volume on the mic, thus helping weed out those pesky background noises. Hopefully I didn't sound harsh or anything writing this, I wasn't able to watch much of it so I can't give you much feedback but I'll check it out again when I have more time!
  6. Top two extra missions that come to mind are the 'Milkman' mod that will release on the 20th, and Autumn leaves which is already. UI files, Project Nevada did some slight UI tweaks that improved things quite a bit. Graphics improvements, as always NMC's texture pack and an ENB of your choosing. Personally I liked the Western ENB, but top used ENB's include Jay's ENB, Cobalt, and I believe Howard ENB. Some of these use or require Nevada Skies along with it. There's also the EVE (essential Visual enhancements) that will fix up some things. For improving the look of your characters, I currently use the "Fallout Character Overhaul" By Drumber. I just started playing Fallout a few short weeks ago and figured out how to install these after a few basic tutorials (ENB's were the only real difficulty) so I'd say they're easy to install.
  7. Real Name: Kyle Rasmusson Age: 19 Microphone Quality: Basically studio, I'm running with the Audio Technica AT4040 connected to the Behringer Xenyx Q802 so I can get the best audio sound. (Yes, I want to do voice acting professionally one day, so that's why I have it.) Race: Uh, white? Scottish, Irish and German ancestry. (I'm from the states and I have a midwestern accent) Experience: Generally I try and push my voice to do voices and train it to emote as much as possible. As far as mods? I've voiced in 3-4 mods, probably totaling around 600 lines or more total. My most notable appearance for released mods I can talk about would be as two fairly plot essential characters in - Milkman by Testudini. Demo Reel: https://soundcloud.com/kylerasmusson/ Contact info: E-mail me at [email protected] Skype me at: Kylerasmusson (There are two from Winter Park, yes both are me, I accidentally created two and don't know what E-mail I used for the other) If there's a voice you want to hear out of me, let me know and I'll do my best to come up with it!
