  1. A simple question (or maybe not): What is the best mod/tool/utility for merging levelled lists in Fallout: New Vegas? I've started playing again after a few years away and there are plenty of lovely new mods like this... http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44476/? and this... http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55008/? But I think I'm right in saying that the one loaded last in my load order will be the only one that actually affects the levelled lists/vendor lists etc. I'm using wrye bash for skyrim and the bashed patches work nicely there, however is wrye flash the best tool for new vegas? It seems out of date and after reading the comments, people seem to be having a few issues with it. Is there anything newer, easier to use or better out there? Help much appreciated. Zac
  2. Common factor here seems to be BVFE Serana, I'll do some investigating on the files that mod adds... Rantrim, is this one of the Serana mods you uninstalled?
  3. Hey rantrim, would you be able to post a list of your active mods so I can compare them with mine? We may be able to find the faulty/conflicting mods that way. For now I've just given up with Dawnguard completely but if you do decide to try re-installing let me know how it goes, as it's something I haven't tried yet.
  4. After recruiting Gunmar and Sorine and going back to Fort Dawnguard, Isran checks that none of us are vampires, sends Gunmar and Sorine off to 'get acquainted with the space' and summons the player upstairs to 'have a little chat with the vampire that's showed up looking for you'. The quest 'A New Order' completes here. This is where the problems start, Serana (who is supposed to be upstairs in the torture room) is nowhere to be seen and the quest 'Prophet' doesn't start. Serana is actually in Castle Volkihar, not even attempting to go to Fort Dawnguard. I've tried using the quest to startquest, setstage etc. but the quest 'Prophet' (DLC1VQ03Hunter) remains at stage 0. I've also tried moving Serana to Fort Dawnguard using 'prid' and 'moveto player' console commands, Serana is teleported to the fort but Isran just ignores her and she walks back to Castle Volkihar. This must be a mod conflict, but I've tried disabling all mods that could possibly affect Dawnguard/Serana and the problem still occurs, disabling any more mods just makes my game too unstable to test. Is there anything more I can try besides re-installing and starting everything from scratch? Any help much appreciated. Edit: I would post my mod list but copy and pasting it into a post doesn't work. Maybe it's too long.
  5. When I approach an ore vein there is no option to mine it. I'm looking at it and there is no 'Space to mine iron ore'. It could possibly be becuase the only pickaxe I have in my inventory is the notched pickaxe and I upgraded it to superior level? I don't know why that would make the activator for mining disappear. Any suggestions?
  6. Had this problem for a while now. Whenever I go near the town for the greybeard quest, or even anywhere in the south east corner of the map, my game simply shuts down like someone has pressed Alt+F4. I've tried Disabling AA, verifying the game cache on steam, updated my graphics card drivers and tried the 16-bit, 44.1Khz sound thing. I even created a new account and it still crashes in the South East corner of the map. The only thing I haven't tried yet is re-installing the game. Anyone got any ideas?
  7. You're not alone, some others have the same issue over on the official forums, apart from a reinstall I don't know what else to suggest. At the moment i've just disconnected from steam and downloaded an old TESV.exe from another forum. Sounds like I don't want the patch anyway :P
  8. Yes I tried verifying integrity of game cache on steam and it didn't work.
  9. Link Somewhere on that forum is the link to the original .exe if the patch simply deleted it for you.
  10. Verifying the Integrity of Game Cache didn't work for me, it's starting to look like the only solution is to re-install :/
  11. This update hasn't replaced my TEV.exe, it's just got rid of it completely. So now clicking 'Play' on the launcher opens another launcher :/
  12. I think the patch was meant to replace the TESV.exe with a new one but instead it has just got rid of it, meaning we can't play the game. I'm going to try deleting local game content and re-installing soon if nobody has a better solution :P
  13. I don't understand how that link helps me, other than telling me that Bethesda have released a patch that doesn't let a mod work. So where has my TESV.exe gone? Basically all that discussion told me was that there was a patch, that patch stopped LAA from working and seems to have deleted my TESV.exe without replacing it with a patched one?
  14. I open steam, click play on skyrim which opens the skyrim launcher, click play on the skyrim launcher but all that does is open another skyrim launcher. So I go looking for skyrim.exe or TESV.exe or whatever it is and I can't find it where it's supposed to be or anywhere else in the Steam folders. So i'm guessing Steam has somehow managed to lose my .exe for Skyrim? Is the only way to fix this to re-install? And if I do have to re-install is there any way I can keep my save games?
  15. Just wondering if anyone would be able to change a few stats of the mount and blade swords and scimitars for me? The two mods that I would like editing are: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23393 http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23371 For the swords I would like the following stat changes: Weight: divide by 2, then take away 5 Damage: plus 3 And for the Kergit Scimitars: Weight: divide by 2, then take away 5 I would do this myself as it is a relatively simple job but every time I try to save a mod that I have edited/made in the construction set, or even just try to close the CS normally I get a crash to desktop.   18. This request forum really annoys the hell out of me sometimes. Nobody replies to this request. I'd be happier if someone replied saying this was a terrible idea rather than just leaving me in the dark!!! If you see a request and you like the idea then say so! Or if you see a request that you hate then tell the requestor why!
  19. Awesome idea. I'd definitely use a mod like that. Kinda reminds me of Fable 2 where, instead of dying, you fall unconcious and wake up with some scars. The scars then have an effect on how people react to seeing you.
  20. The problem with the elevator is that it is classed as a door by the G.E.C.K and so can only have one entrance and one exit. To acess other floors extra sets of stairs and doors would have to be placed. I don't have enough experience with the G.E.C.K to do this right now but if it is anything like the construction set for oblivion then an entire floor is one item and individual stairway items don't exist. A nice idea though, hopefully somone with more skill in the G.E.C.K than me will read this request.
  21. Would anybody be able to make a set of Cybermen Power Armour for Fallout 3? I've attached some pictures of cybermen from Doctor Who. Would be a nice set of armour to have. The stats could be slightly lower than the T-51B armour. Not sure if I'd want the helmet of the cyberman armour but that would be down to the modder.

  24. Not a big fan of the 'outfits' like the merc and raider stuff, I only use it early in the game, I prefer power armor variants. Still the outfit looks pretty cool. I'm not a modder so I can't help you, just posting my opinion. The idea with the Explorer Perk is cool aswell. Maybe you could have various maps that reveal locations like "North West Wasteland Map" or "DC Ruins Map". Just an idea. I think it is possible to find a map on a dead slave in a metro station that reveals the location of one place so that could be something to work off of.
