  1. So heres a picture of my load order: As you may be able to tell, half of these were installed via steam workshop and the rest through NMM or manual installs. My issue currently is surrounding blacksmithing. as far as I can tell I only have 2 mods that affect blacksmithing: ACE, and Armoury of tamriel. The problem is that I seem to have items from both in my blacksmithing tabs. As in, I'll have the option to create Basic Iron/Steel, Breton iron(found a book) which is all from my knowledge from Armoury. But I also have Iron Weapons, etc that aren't basic. which I'm guessing are from ACE... So how do I get these guys to play together? I overwrote the armoury ESP with the one from the ACE compatibility patch list. BTW. I forgot to mention, possibly not related but everytime I do anything in Wrye Bash It says that my load order was messed up. Not sure why, it doesn't seem to do anything after.
  2. Was fun, meaning that you'll be going somewhere else. No, Lonesome Road is going to be the final DLC. New Vegas is Canon, dude. You need to read the wiki better. It continues the Fallout 1 and 2 stories. Hell, I'd consider this the true Fallout 3 because it uses elements from the Van Buren story. Meanwhile Fallout 3 didn't have much of a connection to the main games. Again, read the wiki better. no, i dont, i have spent days on this. i will guarentee i know this far better than you do, whenever i dont know what even a shack i see is for, i look it up. whenever i'm not skating or actually playing im reading the wiki. how does "was fun" even bring up the thought of going somewhere else? that doesnt even make sense Lonesome road is NOT the final DLC a DLC with the pre-order armors/weapons is coming out aswell as a DLC with brand new weapons and as for you saying as what i interpret as fallout 3 being inferior to FNV, "In Fallout new vegas you have to choose between 3 factions that no one cares about in a conflict that isnt nearly compelling enough to pull you in like in fallout 3" - i cant remember who said that but i belive it was 'latex' no, hes right. FO:NV is canon. It continues the storylines of FO1/2 and harvests some from Van buren. FO3 Is still capable of being canon in the universe, hence it's location on the east coast. The choice was deliberate (to both not have to answer to and also leave alone the original stories.
  3. No, I do. I just don't wanna do this all over again so soon lol.
  4. Damn... that sucks. I don't want to start over, so oh well.. guess I'm the ncrs *censored* in this.
  5. So, I'm playing through lonesome road. However, I have a problem.... apparently. Ulysseys keeps mentioning my love for the bear when thats not really true at all, It's just that I have only done a couple quests for camp mccarren and none for anyone else yet, or even started the main quest really(I've only gotten to Nipton on the 15). So, I'm curious how this will effect the outcome of this DLC. Should I use the console to change my reputation? should I go back to the mojave before going any further and advance the mainquest some more? I always have a terrible time doing the mainquest in this game, when theres so much other stuff to do. I got to lvl 27 before I even got to Nipton. (12-18 in honest hearts, then 18-27 in OWB). Regardless, any info on this would be nice... and if you could keep it as spoilerless as possible that would be cool.
  6. This is a silly complaint, Yes Bethesda did a lot of work to make a modern Fallout game. Thats great, I don't think many people criticize bethesda for doing so. However, expecting the same of Obsidian is plain dumb. They were contracted on by zenimax to develope a (quick) sequel to FO:3 using their existing assets. When judging the games you should do so on the quality of the writing, differences in gameplay, story direction, etc... less so than things Obsidian had no control over, like the game engine.
  7. Hey guys, Just bought lonesome road and while I'm having a good time so far(only like 30 minutes in). However, I'm getting some crazy FPS drops in this game so far, Im just into Hopeville. Getting like 15-20 FPS and a lot of drops below 10. Any ideas what may be causing this? I played through Honest Hearts and OWB with no problems, and my FPS is always 60+ in the Mojave. I'm running some mods; FalloutNV.esm HonestHearts.esm OldWorldBlues.esm LonesomeRoad.esm MercenaryPack.esm Project Nevada - Core.esm Project Nevada - Equipment.esm ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm UHNV.esp Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp Project Nevada - Honest Hearts.esp Project Nevada - Old World Blues.esp CONELRAD 640-1240.esp NewVegasBounties.esp Follower Home Marker.esp Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp WeaponModsExpanded.esp Project Nevada - WMX.esp WMX-HonestHearts.esp WMX-OldWorldBlues.esp WMX-LonesomeRoad.esp WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp WMX-PreOrderPackMercenary.esp EVE FNV.esp Project Nevada - EVE.esp WMX-EVE.esp Vurt's WFO.esp F3NVProjectRealityMkIv4.2.esp but nothing crazy. Cant figure it out! any help would be great. Thanks
  8. I recently switched to project reality, I think its awesome. Makes the sky very stunning. Highly recommended.
  9. How easy would it be to make a mod that when prompted(perhaps by entering a specific building, or something), brings up the character 'remake' prompt that comes up when leaving the goodsprings area for the first time. It seems like It would be easy, considering its an already existing thing base don a condition in the game, to implement it in another area as well... I know absolutely nothing about modding fallout or anything else, Or I would try my hand at it. If someone could point me in the right direction, I could try. well I was flailing around in the geck and managed to find the message that pops up under misc->message, and the script that interacts with it(message is called VCG04Message) which is VCG04ActivatorScript, but I have no idea how I would copy it's use to something else. Any Ideas would be great. Looking up the script with FNVedit, It seems fairly simple. You would need to edit it to include all perks across all levels(instead of just the first 10 or so available, according to FNVedit), and also somehow not get rid of permanent skill bonuses(like from skill books) Which I have no idea how to do, oh and theres also the porting it out of this script and into one you can engage when you need it... Would probably be best to remove perks and then grant xp, instead of after finishing the prompts like the script suggests it does, incase you were to take a trait that lowered how much xp you get(like skilled). Which would make you not the correct level after receiving the bulk xp, unless if through this script it deposits it without adjustment? No idea.
  10. Or better yet, is there a way to get the prompt that pops up (and lets you remake your character) when you're leaving the outskirts of Goodsprings for the first time? I imagine if a mod could do that, It would make the whole 'rebirth' mod/annoyances pretty simple. As long as it ignored stuff you've gotten outside of the realm of simply leveling up anyway, I'm not sure if it does. that is to say, things like skill books, DLC perks, challenge perks, etc. woops, sorry should have linked the mod I'm talking about http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41393 Seems like its dead, jim. Author hasn't been online in some time.
  11. Hey guys, I was tipped off to the existence of the Rebirth mod in google while searching for something like it. However, I came to realized it is rather old, and the updated version(taken up by another user here) doesn't have support for DLC past dead money. So, I was basically just wondering how I can edit my perks in game... or out. I just want to remove all my chosen perks (a few were from honest hearts) after 'rebirthing' my character. Is there a way to do that? Thanks!
  12. Thanks for the help btw! I got it all sorted out, I havent crashed once due to transitioning/loading. Seemed like my problem was simply OFT not being the first ESP in the loadorder. However, I found a CTD with EVE gibbs, and rarely with one of the energy weapon critical kills. however It crashed /every time/ It did the normal 'gib' death. Wish I could figure out how to fix that one, I love the effects!
  13. thanks for the suggestions and the boss help. already done:) If turning off skies helps, any recommendations on mods that fill its shoes minus the crashing hopefully? I really like it's changes:(
  14. So, I don't use many mods. FalloutNV.esm HonestHearts.esm OldWorldBlues.esm MercenaryPack.esm NSkies URWLified.esm Project Nevada - Core.esm Project Nevada - Equipment.esm ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm UHNV.esp Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp Project Nevada - Honest Hearts.esp Project Nevada - Old World Blues.esp CONELRAD 640-1240.esp NewVegasBounties.esp Follower Home Marker.esp Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp WeaponModsExpanded.esp Project Nevada - WMX.esp WMX-HonestHearts.esp WMX-OldWorldBlues.esp WMX-PreOrderPackMercenary.esp EVE FNV.esp Project Nevada - EVE.esp OFT_Merge_Base.esp dinks.esp Dinks is my merged patch, and OFT_Merge_Base.esp is Operation Fixed Terrain, but boss doesn't recognize the ESP(which, funny enough the creator of that mod pushed me to use via his description!). so, Crashing probably 8 out of 10 times on loading areas, and also seemingly randomly (though may be quest trigger related) in open areas. Currently am doing Honest Hearts(towards the end, after gathering storms).
