Vortex Mod Collection taking too long to install

I have the same issues with Vortex stuck on 'Waiting to install' for a long time, even while at 99%. I have quite a fast computer currently, but then I also had this issue on my gaming laptop as well with Vortex. -
Hey all As the title says, I've been having a sudden, and very annoying issue with Fallout 4's sound recently. The most annoying thing is that I didn't play the game for a day or two, and then I booted it up yesterday and suddenly these audio issues were occurring. My character's greeting dialogue will still happen, but other than that there is no voice dialogue, whatsoever. I also noticed reloading sounds do not play in third person (but they do in first person), while shooting sounds, music and ambient sounds all seem to function normally. I've tried playing around with my 7.1 headphones, but no such luck. I also uninstalled the 3-4 mods I installed between the time I last played, and everything was working fine, and when the issue started to happen. Any help would be great, cheers! EDIT: Sorted! It was an old version of 'Achievement Mods Enabler' that caused it. The author uploaded a fixed version that I didn't notice before now.

Hey there I recently reinstalled FO4 along with a few mods and the Subtle ENB. The problem I've been having with on every single new game I've tried is that I always CTD shortly after arriving at Red Rocket, whether or not I go straight to greet Dogmeat. Sometimes the crash might occur near immediately, but it mostly takes place a good 10-20 seconds after I arrive there. I'm not currently using a ton of mods because I've been trying to minimise the risk of CTDs early on in my game - evidently, unsuccessfully! Here is my load order below, if it will help: Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe they are a new thing since the update to mark saved games used with mods. It shouldn't affect your game negatively, as far as I'm aware, but it does mean those saved games won't contribute towards achievements.

I've been having some major trouble with figuring out why I am constantly getting CTDs during the 'Clear concord of hostiles' objective during this particular quest. Sometimes it will CTD on the roof right after I pickup the mini-gun from the crashed vertbird; other times it will let me fight the raiders before CTDing suddenly without warning, and, very rarely, it will let me get to the deathclaw phase of the fight before CTDing. It's driving me insane at this point as I try to figure out what is causing it. I'd just like to add that I occasionally CTD around the same area in the interior of red rocket by the terminal in the back (without having touched the workshop, I want to add.) Here is my load order, if it may or may not help: Just to add, I am playing on survival mode as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In response to post #37012155. #37013770, #37017020 are all replies on the same post. Thanks for the help, BettleJuz. I managed to get mine working again by removing a HUDmenu.swf mod (which is dated back to November). Maybe you have the same issue, croc123?

In response to post #37012155. I have this exact same problem. Adding "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" or the old equivalent of "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\...etc" causes my game to CTD without warning every single time I click 'New Game'. It's driving me bonkers; even more so since this was going to be my first playthrough of FO4 since December. If none of those couple of lines are added, the game will work just dandy. If anyone out there can be Obi-Wan; you're our only hope.

I do go on a bit of mod cleaning frenzy with most mods that LOOT reports as needing cleaning, I will admit! That could be it, but I'm not sure. That load order is the bare minimum for me :laugh: It use to be bigger but I had too many problems (and the problems persist, still - lovely!)+

I used TES5Edit to check for errors on pretty much all of my mods, but there was no navmesh warning from any of them. I guess I will have to keep looking, meanwhile! Thanks for your help with it so far

I posted this in the Skyrim Technical Support forum as well, but I'm unsure if it should be here instead. Here is my issue, though: I've been having a repeated CTD issue shortly after leaving the back exit of Bleak Falls Barrow. It happens every time around the same place as I run in the direction of the large lake by Falkreath, shortly after I have climbed down from the cave exit of Bleak Falls Barrow. I would say it happens mid-way between the lake and the bottom of the rocks below the exit. If it means anything, this is on a fresh character (level 5-6) who has just cleared Bleak Falls Barrow and is exploring this part of the world for the first time. My specs are: Intel i5-3550 @ CPU 3.30 GHz 3.70 GHz 16 GB RAM GTX 970 4 GB Here is my load order: Here is my most recent Papyrus.0 log: I will add that all files that require cleaning have been cleaned as well as the SKSE memory fix being used. I also use ENBoost along with my Project ENB preset. I'm not quite sure how to post a correct LOOT log as the guide I found in the "How to ask for help" sticky appears either out dated or I'm just a noob who can't navigate the current LOOT version correctly. Any help ahead will be greatly appreciated! EDIT: I tried walking around the spot from the right and arriving at the lake just behind the area where I would always CTD - it worked fine. I then tried walking towards the spot, but this time from the direction of the lake rather than from the Bleak Falls Barrow exit, and I CTD'd again.

I'm having a random issue where if I uninstall a mod, like Darker Nights for example, I won't be able to reinstall it properly afterwards. When I choose the enable part, it simply installs in a second (.esp and all) but there is no NMM install manager with all the options that the mod should have. To get it to work correctly, I need to re-download it to NMM (perhaps, adding it manually works, too - not that I've tried that.) Does anyone else have this problem? EDIT: Just to add, this has happened with other mods, too. Sometimes restarting NMM helps, but not always.

Everytime I try to delete a mod from the list, such as an older version of a mod I added just before, NMM freezes up. Anyone else having this problem? -
Hey folks As the title says, I was wondering if someone could show me, or just point me in the right direction, as to how remove a faction's tag from a set of armour? The piece of armour in question is from a mod I'm using, but I can't seem to find out how to edit it using GECK. Cheers. EDIT: I removed the NCRFactionOutfitWarning script and replaced it with 'None' and saved it. That seems to have done the job. :]

Hey peeps I don't know how time-consuming a mod like this would be, but I want to ask anyway. :) Is there anyone out there willing to make aesthetic-only changes to the non-officer Imperial Soldiers? I really, really dislike the fact they all wear Imperial light armour. and would love if they were given the heavy Imperial armour (as I said before, only aesthetically as I don't want to mess up game balance :) ). I'm asking for this for mainly RPG reasons, because I've always imagine Imperial Legionnaries to be heavily armoured frontline troops (like they were in Morrowind). Thanks ahead.
