  1. Hi, I have a weird bug, the arrow cam on the ranged deathblows doesn't work, each time I manage to score a deathblow with a bow, the camera just spins around my character, never goes to the arrow cam. Anyone one have any ideas on why, and how to fix it? I have the Dance of Death mod installed, but it used to work just fine even with it on, so I am not sure what changed. Thanks for any help in advance :)
  2. There is a mod out that I use that adds buckler versions of all the sheilds in the game to the blacksmith. I think it is exactly what you are looking for. Here is the link to the mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5315 http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/5315-3-1325693202.jpg I think these are perfect for light armor and assassin type characters.
  3. And your statement is based on what exactly? You have anything other then being obnoxious to back that up?
  4. Ok, one of the things I hated about Oblivion was the horrible 3rd person combat animations, but then again it was never really meant to be played in 3rd person, so I can live and let live, especially since there were some AWESOME animation improvements made, my favorite being made by Cotyounoyume, who not only added MUCH better animations, but also wrote some script that allowed them to be weapon specific, so you could actually look like you were knife fighting with a knife and not look like you were trying to club some with it. When I found out that bethesda was making Skyrim a 3rd person/fps from the ground up, I was sooo excited! I thought to myself 'yeah, better animations, cooler looking combat, maybe even weapon specific animations!' Then I heard that bethesda 'wanted the player to feel the weight of the weapon' (loose quote from an article) I got even more excited, they were actually making sure to add realism to the 3rd person animations! Then I got the game and realized that bethesda had decided that realistic weapon weights made your character swing even the smallest dagger like some sort of drunken monkey. I wanted to play a game where I could feel like a season warrior, not a clumsy child, hardly even able to lift my own weapon, much less take on a dragon. I am a sword fighting and medieval combat enthusiast in real life, so I do have some knowledge in the area, and to anyone who knows their stuff, the animation in Skyrim makes you look like a retarded amateur, not a Nordic warrior. So I put it out there for someone to please please please make some better animations for the combat. If you need some sort of reference to good combat animations, then please look at Dragon's Dogma, or the animation pack that Cotyounoyume added to Oblivion (the mod's name is CCAO) they both have some of the best, and most realistic, melee weapon animations I have seen to date. And if you would like any input from a real life sword fighter (something bethesda should have done), please contact me!
  5. Is it possible to convert the animations used in Oblivion to Skyrim? I have a lot of awesome combat animations that I used in Oblivion that would look amazing in Skyrim. I have no real experience in animation, I only used and combined pre-made ones in Oblivion, so I would need a hand held tutorial if it is possible. Please let me know if its possible even if you don't want to give me a step by step :) Thanks
  6. nope not from Vienna, from Israel, but actually kinda funny, since my dad was just in Vienna for business, and he came back and said the same thing. He is really into art and history, so he thought it was cool that we had a 'corner in Vienna'
  7. @ghosu I was just through there and asked the question, and he pointed me too you, saying he had just helped out with a script like what I wanted lol, so that would be great if you could send it to me when your done. And hey, don't make fun of my last name  :wallbash:
  8. @ghosu I tried that, but it ends up rotating the whole model, so that when the dagger is sheathed, it is upside down and sticking in your face :/ I am trying to work on a script that will flip the dagger when it is unsheathed, but returns to normal when sheathed, only I am horrible at scripting...
  9. Could you write a script that would allow the game to load a separate weapon model when it was unsheathed? I use the reversed daggers mod, but it looks silly when sheathed, since it is simply a reversed model, so it is reversed when sheathed as well. If you could write a script that would allow me to point the game to the reversed model when the weapon is out, and then revert back to the vanilla model when it is sheathed, that would be awesome! thnx!
  10. It would be awesome if there was a way to reverse the daggers in game! they look so much better reversed, especially with the over exaggerated power attack animations.
  11. Yes, I used the mod in Oblivion along with a mod called 'Adrenaline Fueled Combat', which allowed you to learn special moves that could be assigned to different power attacks that would replace the vanilla disarm chance or stun chance with different effects such as bleeding damage, extra fatigue damage, knockdown chances etc. It really made the melee combat totally different, and more tactical, for instance if my enemy was low on health, but to dangerous to get close and engage for any amount of time I would dash in, use the the power attack that resulted in bleeding damage, and then dance away and let his health slowly drain. If he didn't die I would rinse and repeat. It really made the melee combat have many more options, and made it feel less bland compared to the embellished magik system. If someone could replicate these two mods for Skyrim, it would be AWESOME.
  12. I would really like it if someone could put a mod or tweak out that allows the 'block' action to cancel out the normal attack animations. I just hate being in a fight and trying to block an attack after mine missed, but since my attack animation hasn't quite re-set, I can block in time. I think that if you are alert enough to be able to hit the 'block' button, you should be allowed to do so. I'm not sure exactly how it is done, but I know that there was a mod for it put out for Oblivion, so maybe there are some similarities. Thanks to anyone who manages to do this, I will totally endorse it!!
