  1. What. Really? Wow. I mean, I voted for Boone because he's just that broken anyway, but ... wow.
  2. I'm not fond of the Plasma Caster. Damage needs to go up by about twenty, in addition to the DT-ignoring traits that energy weapons will supposedly have soon. In Fallout 1 and 2, this weapon was known simply as the Plasma Rifle, and it was - especially in Fallout 1 - one of the most terrifying weapons in the game. Critical hits from this weapon could and often did instantly end fights. The upgraded version, the Turbo Plasma Rifle, was inarguably the best weapon in the first game, and is a serviceable end-game weapon in the sequel, along with the Pulse Rifle, Gauss Rifle, Bozar, and similar weapons. In Fallout 3, Bethesda (correctly) redefined the Plasma Rifle as a proper "rifle", rather than the enormous underslung monstrosity that is now known as the Plasma Caster. However, in most situations, the Plasma Rifle - or a Multiplas Rifle - will be more effective. This is nonsense, IMO; the Plasma Caster should represent the pinnacle of energy weapons power, given the somewhat mysterious absence of the YK42B and the silliness of the Alien Blaster. TL;DR The Plasma Caster needs more damage, better range, less ammo consumption, and the ability to ignore DT before it deserves to wear the mesh it does.
  3. Hoverboard mod caused immense amounts of CTD for me. I pretty much couldn't use it it at all. I play as a Shojo (child race), so I actually move even slower than normal. The aforementioned Bonus Move (from the "More Perks" mod, three ranks of which come quickly, courtesy of the Perk Every Level mod) and the Sprint mod went a long way towards resolving any travel-time gripes I might have had. The Mojave is disappointingly small at times.
  4. Heh, I'm really curious to find out... Well, let's start over. I'm really eager for the Community Bugfix maintainer - whoever it is now, something with an L - to figure out what still needs fixing from the Community Bugfix patch. That patch made the game work correctly, and I am loathe to play without it. Still, I don't want it to re-break things that the new official patch fixes. Hrmmh. On a tangentially-related note, can anyone here verify if the energy weapons changes that were discussed made it into this update?
  5. If you don't have permission to distribute it - and I doubt verymuch that Toxa wants his work distributed, given his response to the other Fallout:NV Halo port - you don't have permission to distribute it. It isn't merely uploading. I'm not sure what the rules on this sort of thing are here on the Nexus, but it's disingenuous at the least to offer to e-mail someone else's work to people.
