  1. This is presuming you've somehow solved the "my games" issue, either by file junctions or starfieldcustom.ini + killing MOTD. So, If you make a super simple mod zip with only one file in it, it'll end up into starfield installation folder with the starfield.exe. And if your mod has data-folder, stuff inside there ends up in "data" folder under starfield installation folder, so far so good. However if you've got BOTH root files AND data-files, Vortex will flat-out ignore anything in the root and only install stuff that goes into data. Is there a way around this except by providing two zip files?
  2. And the xenos. I hate. Hate. Hate. Hate. And finally it's over. No more the horror. No more xenos. No more terror ships screwing my status quo sideways. They're all dead. Good xenos. Dead. Six months of my life. Dead. Dead. Dead. Good aliens. Dead. Now it's done. Excuse me gentlemen I'll go and get shitface drunk now just like the half-crazy Xcom leader would. https://goo.gl/photos/rikUvR5XPZhyfSZ5A https://goo.gl/photos/rikUvR5XPZhyfSZ5A https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7odw4GViWr4b2VXWXgyWEcwb1k/view?usp=sharing
  3. Old post but it came up on top when I had the same issue. It's worth checking what exactly is crashing from the details. In my case it was HsSrv.dll - This is Asus Xonar audio driver. The solution was to turn off "GX" which means EAX support. In practice (re)install xonar unified driver without GX. And yeah, this happened pretty much every time I died, although sometimes it was possible to keep on playing no matter the CTD..
  4. I'll add my experience. I bought cheapo Steam discount new vegas and decided to finally finish fallout3 main plot. Que horrible stutter, "something" got broken since I last played the game in spring 2010.. Here's the setup: W7x64 + X-fi Not working solutions: Any of the Ini file tweaks Working solutions: Disable *PCM parts of AC3filter AND Do the frauenhofer disable trick AND install MADfilter Whole mp3 part is interesting since the radio actually uses WAV .. Never mind, now it works, I can run through the plot parts with my bad-arse companions on a fully updated FWE + WMK + MMM + EVE (0.96) + Fellout setup :-)
  5. Much improved, thanks! Maybe 10 changes per mod is still bit excessive but it's big improvement over 20 for sure. Arranging by date works too, which is nice.
  6. No. Notice the dates. On 2nd screenshot the WMK is before FOMM althought it has been updated in 27th Feb! MMM (2nd march) goes before both althought WMK has been updated 15th March! PB and FWE are swapped and are first, before Wanted!. FOMM should be 2nd in the list. In my honest opinion, the layout is muchos baad. 20 changes shown for every mod? With biiiiig empty space between mods to boot? No reflowing the text properly so the window has to be something like 1600 pixels wide? Ugh. What about showing only 5 changes per mod in the big list and fixing the text flow issue?
  7. There's also no way to actually sort the mods to put the one with latest change to top. Messy. Previously I'd see at once which mod has been updated, now I have to scroll down and check each and every one manually, which many items for each mod. The "show file changes only" button also does not work, btw. Apparently the order of appearance is based only when the mod was added to tracking so they're essentially in a random pile now.
