  1. I'm Drjones013, the writer for MERC 2. I'd like to have someone help me with the scripting of a companion based on one of the characters from MERC 2. Writing and other dialogue would be handled by myself (with the modder's help, if so desired). You'll find the original mod here: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/12400/? * Michelle Michelle is another of Dr Jones' clone soldiers, Invitro Clone Sample 'L,' who is desperately searching for old Enclave technology. The process which created her rapidly ages her body and threatens to kill her. She received advanced combat training, body modification, and the best medical training the Enclave could offer... and used this to break out of the facility holding her with the aid of Janice. She has wandered the Wasteland for the past 12 years hoping that her cure lay in whatever remains of Curling's FEV-12 formula. Michelle appears to be a woman in her mid to late 40s, belying her real age of 16, strongly resembling Dr Jones. She is extremely dangerous with energy weapons, skills honed against the very best soldiers the Enclave had to offer. Her medical skills are also above average, trained by Dr Jones and her medical staff. * The companion would be used as an add-on to http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/49790/ The author of this mod is collaborating with me on adding MERC resources to the Capitol Wasteland New Vegas (sorry, force of habit).
  2. This is drjones013 with a request for a companion modder to assist Vforvic and myself-- we want to create a set of companions for MERC 2. The companions already have voice actors and models. We've already gotten permission from the Brisa Aldomovar creator to use his scripts for lockpicking and science. Storyline for the companions will be available once the scripting for the companions is completed. Wrong forum, really sorry. If someone knows how to delete this topic, please do.
  3. This seems entirely fair and I support this; it definitely strengthens all of the reasons I've used Nexus in the past and encourages me to continue to use Nexus in the future.
  4. Wasn't aware that we could switch spots like that... besides which I don't think I could do a female part justice (lol). Besides which, I'm actually a fan of Nylon's voice acting; he's able to put an incredible amount of emotion in a very short period of time. Eligor is a bit more dispassionate; part of that was Nylon's choice but it also is a bit closer to my own personality. I hardly consider myself Eligor, though. Nylon strikes me as a bit of an emotional explorer and that comes out in Harkin. That's a bit better for a romance option. Eligor, though, would make a most interesting lover, I think.... I'll have to come back to that thought later, though. FWIW, my actual speaking voice is a bit deeper than Eligor's... but it allows me to explore that SA English I grew up with. BTW: did you get my email about a week or so ago? Please PM.
  5. This is an update: I've just received the 1.5 alpha release from Vforvic and, aside from some bug squashing, it's looking really good. I'm planning on getting people started probably just after finals week (mid Dec 2012) and will try to have voice acting finished by Q1 2013. I've still got slots available, particularly for female voice actors!
  6. I feel like I have to weigh in on this if only because Nylon and I were joking around about it.... First, I wouldn't mind voice acting Eligor again for a romance mod; in fact, based on the early votes, I thought I was going to have to! But it looks like the polls are swinging in the other direction again towards Harkin. I'm sure Nylon wouldn't mind doing the voice acting for it either; either way, the voice acting talent is available. It's been really fun watching the polls all the same; it seems like players are voting along the characters who have the most recorded lines.
  7. I've read the forums A LOT for information on this from the staff and it sounds like, if the mod uses resources from FO:NV and is a direct port then it cannot be used because of licensing. If the mod created its own resources and just happens to be on FO:NV this seems to be okay. Directly ported resources from FO:NV put the Nexus in a real bind because FO:NV is a different game from FO3.
  8. Hi, this is Drjones013 and I'm looking for voice actors for MERC 2. We're undergoing a major rewrite with an estimated 2-4 hours of spoken dialogue. Voice actors will need to present a voice sample 2-5 minutes in length. If you plan to use a voice other than your native speaking voice be prepared to provide a sample showing your ability to maintain that pitch/accent. Please address any questions and voice samples to drjones013 at hotmail.com or PM me here with the name drjones013.
  9. Vforvic has just released his claymore beta as a part of MERC 2. We'd be really appreciative of any feedback the community could give us. It's seriously become a must-have of my Wasteland arsenal. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/12400
  10. @AlfredTetzlaff Brilliant, exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
  11. I remember a mod that detected weapon stats like spread and crit range in game, any ideas?
  12. We're already doing selective fire in MERC 2 so I know it's possible. Unfortunately a rail gun like that wouldn't fit into our lore. The solution (which is achieved without FOSE) involves equipping the weapon while in stealth which brings up an options menu. An example of the script is http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2286 and there is a small number of weapons like it throughout Nexus.
