  1. The Phenom II x 4 is a decent card. It may be a bit outdated when matched against the newer Intels or AMD proc, but according to Xelan 255 "... Skyrim isn't very CPU consuming, but instead very GPU consuming..." it may make financial sense to focus on the R9 280x and SSD. You have enough system RAM to handle it. That way you can look at a better/faster processor later..maybe a FX 8350 if you want to stay with AMD Remember though most of the best rigs use Intel chips though and skyrim seems to perform best on a high end i5 (based on all the reviews and tests I have seen). That said, AMD chips give good value for money depending on the games you may want to play.
  2. Hi does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of a grey area on the lower part of the screen but clouds to the top, even though I am inside a building (Heljarchen Hall)? It stays the same in aIl directions. tried the Mist setting but that did not work. I use Gameplay Performance ENB. I have a screenshot but can't figure out how to post it.
  3. I had a similar effect and found that these two settings cleared it up in my Skyrim Prefs. ini. They were both set to 1 and i changed them to 0 bTreesReceiveShadows =0 bDrawLandShadows =0
  4. Go into setup when you open SPM. In under the .ini file path, put the location of your Skyrim.ini file in Documents/my games/skyrim... Under Main program file path put the location of the skyrim launcher in your skyrim directory. In the last one put the location of the mod manager.exe file. Under Misc. I have all ticked except the first one. For the in game counters I have all ticked. When you click launch skyrim from SPM it should minimize the SPM window and open MO. Launch the game from here. SPM monitors should show up in the top left or wherever you decided to put it.
  5. I have a similar problem. I use Gameplay Performance ENB and interiors often fail to load. This gives me blue skies with clouds overhead (remember I am inside) and this covers the top 25% of my monitor screen. The bottom 75% has this grey tinge that blocks out everything but fires and game messages. Happens outside as well.
  6. On the Hialgoboost page and forums/FAQ it says that it is not compatible with ENB 0.254
  7. Hearthfires is buggy. Heljarchen Hall is much, much worse. That being said, do you have Unique Region Names installed as a mod? I know it sounds weird, but do you?
  8. Ensure that you have the correct version of NMM listed in MO. Its up to 0.51.0. Its under "Workarounds" in "Settings". Just change it, re-start MO and go to Nexus using the globe link.
  9. You simply have too many mods for a 1gb graphics card. I have 199 plugins with 195 active, only one ENB (Gameplay Performance) , no texture mods apart from the 2K Texture series and Real Roads. I have a FX 8320, 8Gb RAM and a GTX 660 2GB and they strain my system. I am thinking of upgrading to a 3Gb with an SSD. Remember that many ENBs use ENBoost that places most of the memory load on the GPU. There are settings in either the enblocal.ini or enbseries.ini where you can change this and let your system RAM handle more of your load (maybe not as much as you have but more than at present). If that works, then an SSD may reduce any retrieval bottleneck after the game caches to your HDD.
  10. Can anyone help me with this? When I try to use the favorites menu to quickly switch weapons I get problems like the new weapon does not equip with the R key (or any key for that matter); sometimes if I draw an arrow the movement is there but there is no arrow and nothing shoots. If i draw a sword then its there in my hand but I can't swing it or it won't sheath. Its worse when fighting dragons. The only way to reduce (not stop) this from occurring is to sheath the present weapon, open the favorites menu, switch the weapon, close the menu, activate the weapon. Can anyone help?
  11. I have the same card and have kept away from ENBs because the I don't think the card handles it well. Recently I started using Gameplay Performance ENB and I am still getting lots of stutters and CTDs. Will love to know how yours will run.
  12. Hi All, I have a similar problem. I don't understand, it was working perfectly before. I updated MO to 1.2.8 and then this. I thought that the problem was SKY UI and looked for an update. Then I realised I had the most recent version but still went ahead and re-installed the latest. Then, for the very first time, I got an error stating that my SKSE scripts were not installed. Some sites said to ignore this, which I did (I had no choice or else SKY UI will not install). I think I have done everything suggested on various sites...reloaded SKSE, agjusted papyrus values, run SKSE as administrator, re-installed SKY UI. Nothing works. Any help?
