  1. Thank you so much! How do I package him? My guess is that I will have to install KS Hair, EoB, and Brows MANUALLY and then copy the respective hair/brows/eyes files into a folder with my mod, is that right? I'm still fuzzy on how to convert my mod into a 7zip file and all that - I currently only have one .esp file for him, so I don't have a whole file or anything. Am I on track here or am I totally confused?
  2. Hi all! I just recently made my first mod - a standalone follower named Beynjolf! He's uploaded but people are not able to find him in Dawnstar where I put him, so I want to fix him but I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. I made him in Creation Kit using 3 mods: KS Hairdos, Eyes of Beauty, and Brows. I had issues when I was making him so I ended up having to convert these mods to ESMs and then I was *supposed* to convert them back to ESPs but I couldn't figure out how. I'm thinking I'll have to remake him and I'm looking for some really good follower-creating tutorials, or some help reconverting my ESMs to ESPs. I use Wrye Bash and TESVEdit (xEdit? whichever one is for SE). He's working for me and for some people but I want to make him accessible for all players. I had someone point out that he is quite light on memory compared to other follower mods, and also someone else said that their LOOT is saying that KS Hairdos and Eyes of Beauty is missing, even though they have them both installed and enabled. Any idea how to fix these issues or what the problem might be? Thanks for the help!
  3. Hi all! I just made and uploaded my first mod! He is a male follower that I made in Creation Kit. While I was making him, I ran into a bunch of problems. To fix them, I ended up converting the 3 mods I used to make him into ESM files. I heard that I was supposed to reconvert the new masters back into ESPs but I couldn't figure out how. My mod was working fine for me but I have people commenting and telling me it's not working for them so I'm trying to fix it. I'm assuming that I need to convert the new masters back into ESPs because that was the only step I did not do, but I don't know how to and I'm afraid that I'll break my mod?? Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
  4. Hi all! I'm new to modding and I'm trying to create my own custom follower (or perhaps fix Argis after I messed him up trying to edit him...) using Creation Kit (I also downloaded SSEedit and Nifskope but don't know how to use them yet.) I've made a new follower and he's showing up in-game and everything's fine, except when I try to add KS Hairdos. After I load a hairstyle on him from KS Hairdos, he shows up with his default vanilla hair and a dark face. I read somewhere that Creation Kit won't allow for more than one master file to be used (?) and KS Hairdos is a master file, so they suggested editing the plugin with SSEedit but when I tried, it didn't make any sense to me so. I'm just wondering how I can fix this so I can load a cool hairstyle on him. I also have ApachiiSkyHair and I haven't tried that yet but I would like to use one from KS Hairdos. Any help would be so appreciated! Thanks!
  5. Hi all! I'm totally new to modding and I really wanted to change Argis' look so I decided to teach myself. I had some issues in the very beginning and got help on that so I won't go through my whole process but this is all I've managed to do: I downloaded Creation Kit, added some mods I wanted to use to change his look, and got to work. ---I used: Brows, The Eyes of Beauty, and KS Hairdos. I exported facegen for Argis and a window popped up saying it was done. Then I saved it all as a new plugin - esp - file, and made sure it was showing up in my Vortex Mod Manager, which it was. I then made the ROOKIE mistake of testing my new plugin on my main save and Argis's face was dark brown, had vanilla hair, and his scar and blind eye were still there (not in the picture I included, but when I went back in they were there) even though I changed those features. I tried to load a previous save wondering if maybe a different save file would contain his orginal features but he was still dark faced. I finally figured out that I have conflicting mods because I use several hair mods as well as WICO which changes the appearance of most NPCs (Argis included) so I went back and disabled WICO but that still didn't solve the problem. I moved my mod to the bottom of the load order so it would overwrite but it didn't work. (Also hard to do with VMM? I couldn't figure out how to manage the load order unless it was one at a time) I even started a new game with a brand new character to see if it would do anything and he was still dark faced so I don't know what to do. I also noticed that every time I close CK and reopen it, Argis isn't exactly the way I left him. His eyes, hair, and brows are different from his normal vanilla look, but they still use vanilla features instead of items from the mods I chose. For example: I chose "Sunrays" eyes, but when I reboot CK his eyes are "MaleEyesHumanLightBlue" (vanilla) I chose "RoughSketch" hair, when I reboot CK his hair is "HairMaleNord10" (vanilla) I chose "Brows1" but when I reboot, he has no brows. He always reboots with the same items, just not the ones I chose. Also, my CK will NEVER close properly. It always freezes before the window goes away completely and I have to force-quit it (I'm sorry, I'm impatient and I don't know better!) Could this be part of the problem?? I'm not particularly heartbroken about the whole thing, but I'm bummed that I can't get my mod to work. I just want to figure out how to either fix him or change a different NPC or maybe both? I also want to eventually make a standalone follower but for now, I really just wanna get Argis looking his best. ANY help is thoroughly appreciated! Is this my problem??? I don't remember them doing that before I used them in CK, but I don't know.
