  1. Not really as the Bolt Shell is a self contained rocket, the Bolter has relitively low recoil. The weight of the weapon though would justify the big gun settings, as you'd need to be strong enough to lift the bolter let alone aim it. What you mean the other one that doesn't animate and shines like the sun? :rolleyes:
  2. The only thing wrong I see with it is that doesn't look wide enough The Fallout 3 human skeleton is limiting in that regard, if the armour was wider it wouldn't animate correctly. If the Super Mutant skeleton was more animated he would have based the armour on that (seeing as Super Mutants are much closer to the Space Marine body type than the regular humans). And @ SgtRoadkill check his latest mod screenshots he's replaced the upper legs (which was really the only obvious bit that came from Fallout 3 Power Armour).

  12. I support this idea, I loved the version of Nemesis from the second RE film (the "STAAAARRRS!" line is just classic).   14. Which is ironic seeing as the first Halo game was initially designed for the Mac primarily (closer to a PC than a console), until Micro$oft bought up Bungie for the Halo license.
  15. The only other alternative would be to have a piece of clothing that looks like the weapon in holstered mode that unequips when the actual weapon variant in question is equipped.

There isn't anything wrong with someone going all out on their mod, but in this case the OP isn't making such a mod he's suggesting a mod idea that he'd like someone else to make, and so there is nothing wrong with people weighing in their opinions / alternate suggestions on the issue (as long as they aren't screaming that the mod in question shouldn't be made at all). Jumping down someone's throat because they have a different idea than the OP on how they'd like to see a suggestion implemented is just as bad as screaming "it doesn't belong in Fallout 3, your mod idea is stupid, no-one make this!" imo. It's incompatable with the Steath-Boy (the hair sections show up if you activate a stealth-boy) and the female variant has issues with texture leaks (small strands of texture jumping around above the mask), so it's probably not going to be released.
  17. He hasn't said it's stupid, he has disagreed with someone overdoing it. Besides do you honestly think if someone decides to pick this up that they'd actually do it any other way than the way they want to do it (which could be majorly different than the OP or anyone else wants)?
  18. It is not a mod*, it is a suggestion** and that makes it open to personal opinions and ideas. Besides Psycko is not saying "don't make a Firefly based mod because it doesn't suit the Fallout verse", he's saying "make it a subtle Firefly based mod that at least attempts to blend into the Fallout verse". There is a very big difference. And I agree with this opinion I'd much rather see a mod that attempts to blend in than one shoe-horned in that sticks out like a sore thumb. * = Something that already exists and cannot be changed unless the author wants to change it. ** = An idea suggested for someone else to make, open to interpretation and expansion.
  19. Eh? I wouldn't escort customers for Inara, I'd be her only customer. ;) Personally I think a home that has the same layout as Serenity's interior would be cool (ie because making a model for the actual ship would probably be really difficult while the interior by itself wouldn't).
  20. He's not saying they'd look better as just a texture, just that as a texture they'd save polys (though to be honest I personally don't get why there is such an obession with lower poly counts, I assume it's a performance thing).

Your best bet would be to contact one of the other modelers currently active and see if they can help UV map it (I don't know how to UV map myself so I can't exactly do it for you... :unsure: ) Try contacting Baelkin or Joefoxx082 they both seem to have experience with UV mapping perhaps they can help.
  22. I wouldn't of been flattered by his comment personally, because your weapons obviously aren't just reorganized vanilla models, they are better than the vanilla models (your 14mm is my main weapon these days)!
  23. Really liking the neck guard bit behind the helmet (it's always cool when vulnerable neck area is properly protected by the torso armour). You should add a plate to the front aswell to protect the front of the neck, sort of like the Defender Armour from Hellgate London.
  24. He was dead when I got in there too, but I used the PC console resurrect command to bring him back so I could take him to the others.
