  1. In response to post #59998906. If I understand this correctly, all that is needed to be done is to verify that the email attached to your Nexus account, is a valid account you can access. Not an old or invalid account. The rest is just an explanation that you can turn off various notifications if you are getting annoyed by them being sent to your mail box.
  2. In response to post #44123740. #44124255, #44128340, #44132470, #44136065, #44140995, #44144085, #44150460, #44152435, #44153325 are all replies on the same post. Thank you Dark One and your crew. I was able to log on in NMM and do some basic updates and downloads through the system (the preferred way) tonight. Thank you for the efforts and updates so that we can get the mods we so love easily and quickly.
  3. In response to post #44140035. The effect on NMM should only be the "D ownload With Manager" option of NMM. It shouldn't be causing you any other problems. Perhaps users might not get update notifications about their installed mods but so far it has worked for me and others I know. I don't know what your issue is with NMM not launching or working and your case is the only one I have heard of doing this. The first thing I would do is backup the entire folder(s) and make sure they are safe just in case something else happens and does more damage. Then perhaps try to uninstall/clean up the NMM and install fresh. Direct them to your old virtual drive etc and hope for the best.. When you do remove NMM make sure you use something that can clean it up like ccleaner etc. Not sure if it is needed but couldn't hurt. I mention this because you didn't mention you uninstalled NMM only that you downloaded and installed it. This isn't normally needed because NMM is smart enough to clean up after itself but since you are having problems... it might be needed. again risky and I am not sure of the results or if there is a better way. I am giving some advice because you haven't been able to get any assistance so far. Hopefully someone with more experience with NMM can chime in with a more precise fix for your issue. Best of luck
  4. It is indeed cool that the NMM team was so quick to update NMM for the new Skyrim release. I will miss MO for the management of the game however appreciate the efforts to get the NMM up and running for Skyrim SE considering the current version is being discontinued with Tannin leading the dev team to create a new replacement.
  5. In response to post #43627705. Yes... If I read the articles correctly Tannin has stopped any dev of MO2. So unless someone comes along to take over and continue we will likely not be able to use MO2 with Skyrim SE. Sad.

Disclaimer: I am a user that uses both Mod Organizer (I) and NMM (for Fallout 4) Mod Organizer is great for a few games. It does have a higher learning curve. Even Gopher states that in one of his MO videos. Most starting users don't have the understanding of this and using MO is more difficult. NMM can be used for ALL GAMES hosted here or at least all I have seen. Providing one standard interface is very useful to keep your computer slim as opposed to having 2 or more managers. Now for the statement that it will screw up your entire install and you have to download it again. That just isn't true. You just have to verify cache and Steam will update those files that are messed up. Often times only a minute or so on any decent internet connection. I never HAD TO download the entire game again or even uninstall and restore from backup the entire game. True that MO has some useful tools like the "Hide" function and the conflicts easily found. However the future versions of NMM will have the Profile sharing (I believe that is the name) where entire profiles can be shared across the web and hosted here etc Ones setup can be easily setup by even the most novice user with a few clicks. This is a tools that as far as I can tell can't be added to MO at least not currently. Imagine someone like Gopher or GP creating a profile and uploading it for you to download. Create a video on the new profile to let you see what it is all about. Those experienced in creating and resolving conflicts and issues can create beautiful complex and unique game mod profiles far more complex than most basic users and beginners can have. Ease of installation also means that you can try one or two or three etc and always return to the your favorites be it yours or someone elses with a few click (because you can also backup your own profiles, how often has someone had to recreate a profile after some time because of a computer issue? ) I use both and view mod mangers as tools in my box to use where most appropriate for my current needs. Nothing more. One isn't better than the other. The only main job of a mod manager is to install and remove the mods selected properly. NMM does this now quite well unlike some versions in its past and it is getting better.
  7. I appreciate the added efforts and the streaming of the development process (Github etc). I have noticed a constant stream of versions and yes, some of those have problems but I suspect it is more due to all the advanced features that are being added. It might not be where we want it to be and yes might have some issues however so far I have noticed a steady stream of versions attempting to resolve those issues (most are due to added features that some desire). I am sure at this rate things will get sorted and NMM will be stable and fully functional.
  8. In response to post #36995585. Currently it is really the only choice that I know for modding Fallout 4 if you don't want to do it manually. MO is still very buggy last time I tried.
  9. You do have a point that I didn't think of. The authors here might also work on other mods or use some parts of mods etc and need to link back for common courtesies. My statement was purely from a user's standpoint. I now understand why this keeps on popping up. I'd imagine both sites rely on reports to root out all content that might be questionable. When presented with a mod that has violated the rules LadyMilla removed it promptly. Is this also the case at LL? Can someone report and expect quick action on the content if violating copy-write rules at LL? Perhaps even someone that isn't a member report this content? If that is the case then the answer is simple for those that have complaints on LL having copyrighted materials just needs to report them.
  10. @Dracula1993. I use CPU boss to compare my computer processor before buying. Same with SSD and even GPU. I get a pretty good idea on what I will be getting with my purchase. For the motherboard I would recommend reading many review sites where there are way more skilled people than myself to give advise. lol. Google will easily help you find the sSD boss GPU boss and even CPUBoss. Compare the i5 with the i7 or your choice (budget) and see which is the best for your uses. Hope that helps.
  11. Hello. I believe if you download TES5edit for Skyrim you can then run it and it will give warning that will show if a master is missing. Now this will only work with CTD when starting the game. Don't think it will help if it is CTD during game play. Hope that helps. I don't know of any program that will tell of the crash after it happens. I would like to know that as well. Skyrim keeps randomly crashing for me as well. lol. Likely it is just me doing something wrong with my mods... edit: Oh found something. You'd have to set it up and I personally haven't used it but maybe it might help. However you would likely have to have someone read the results. I hope it is ok to link to Steam.. It is from their forums http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2791993 In case the link don't work.. This is really what you need anyway.. ;)
  12. I don't understand the sensitivity of some when it comes to this another site. Let them be what they are and Nexus be what it will be. This of course is my opinion as limited importance as it is :). I don't want to be clicking on links and searching for mods and such and get presented a page with advertisements of someone giving a blow job. Nexus has a responsibility to provide a reasonable experience for its users, some are underage and others might find such content very objectionable. It is a simple matter of providing appropriate service for its users as the reason for not allowing this site to be linked / mentioned. I am sure those that want to know about this site and its content can easily use a search engine to find it and its mods. There is no need to plaster banners of it across Nexus or for Nexus to even provided for links to competition, what little competition that would be. (being an adult modding porn site ;)). By all means those individuals that are interested in this content, have at it. but complaining about not being able to link to that site is just petty. I rarely post but had to for this. Seeing this pop up time and time again about people complaining about not being able to link to LL is just sad. Doubly so considering it was someone that was banned and created another account to make this thread. :( Move on, let it go.
  13. Thanks for the introduction.. For the most part I am an old hand with modding and Nexus.. :D.. but if I do need anything etc I will be sure to PM you. By the way.. Nice joke.
  14. Hello, I am a new member but not exactly. I don't really fit in the normal classification of new however I did finally gather up and decide to become a premimum member. Yea after years and years of being a member (Since 2008) I am finally a premimum member and posting a "newbie" entry.. lol. I guess better late than never... ;). So hi to everyone.. :D
  15. Yeah i normally use a save game cleaner but this save was pretty new and i don't remember uninstalling any mods. I used it anyone earlier and there was 9 things to get rid of, but nfortantely it did not work. I found one save where every time i loaded the game it would crash after around 8 seconds every single time. I tried loading it one time though and pausing straight away, after waiting around 20 seconds i resumed the game and i didn't crash which is strange. Well i can continue with the game now. but these crashes still happen, although less often. Hopefully the save cleaner fixed most of it. Thank you for the advice. Long shot is there might have been something trying to run at that time and then got overwhelmed with other scripts and such and caused a crash. Be careful of the # of mods and the type of mods you are using. You might be overworking the engine capability related to your configuration or have a few poorly scripted mods that are hanging or taking too much in resources. Unfortunately it is the nature of the business of modding
  16. When this happens in my experience it is due to something missing from the game. An asset or something. I had a similar one with skeleton. When I removed the armors after killing the bandits I would get a crash. Sometimes it could be a bloated Save with various reference IDs and such that is well cluttering up the game. A game cleaner might be useful especially if you have removed mods after starting a new save or have played for a few dozen hours. Finally a simple step I use first is verify cache to be sure the base game is "tip top". Sorry these examples are very basic and general because there isn't any concrete cause or repeatable action that can narrow down the causes. The above are just general ideas that might help with the problem. Best of luck
  17. Oh, my God that would be EPIC. Employees across the world would be calling off when that happens. :D
  18. So it was #3... Disable the conflicting mods then test if it works and find the mod that is causing the issue. :D That wasn't exactly the order that you did it but the same basic process. Check to make sure the game is good, Check the load order, then conflicts, test to find what is conflicting, update, disable or remove the conflicting mod done.. Fixing mod and conflict issues is basically just that. doing that I have been able to resolve more than 90% of all my issues. ;)
  19. A few things. Verify Cache of your Game to be sure all the main files are there. Install Loot and check load order, conversely TESedit installed and ran with all your mods should help. Copy your profile to test then look at Dawnguard.esm in MO. Check the mods that are showing the conflict with it. Uncheck them. Without conflict, verified load order you should be able to enter Dawnguard without any problems. If still having problems... try with a earlier safe. As early as possible after being approached to join. Then go and see if there is still an issue. Might be something that you did especially if you use commands to delete or open close whatever in the game. Yes that is a very long shot but .. If it still don't work ... I can't help further. I have no other ideas. At least the above should give you a clear path to check the most common issues. Now if #3 solves the problem test the various mods that conflicted and you should find the problem mod. Either contact the owner, don't use it, or fix it yourself if possible
  20. I checked the link and I get no such issue. There isn't any photos or other links that are like what I described. Don't know what is causing your problems there.. sorry. To answer the last question on the ads and support. Quote from the Premium Membership page. So buy a premimum membership... then no more Ads.. Problem solved. No more worries about Ads and whatnot.
  21. And that site seems to be what is getting the virus warning. :psyduck: I was told by a friend how to check some parts of the page. and you are correct it seems like the broken photo links in that page are redirecting to another unrelated website for some reason. Strange indeed. The site http://y-design.promagnumcorp.com is being blocked by ESET. promagnumcorp address as listed is recognized as a mailware site according to http://www.malware-traffic-analysis.net/2015/01/15/index.html However according to google page it should not be lsted as suspicious. http://www.malware-traffic-analysis.net/2015/01/15/index.html I learned a few things today.. :geek: and in the end .. just as confused as what is going on.. I will leave it in your hands as I posted more in the last two days than I have in the past year.. lol Thanks
  22. Not on Avast. I see something different and on ESET. This is only on one page so far and it is from Fallout NV http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35878/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D35878%26preview%3D&pUp=1 I sent in a message yesterday as I didn't see this thread here then, sorry. Every refresh of that page gets the message that the URL has been blocked. No other pages open and it stops as soon as that page has been closed. I have ran my antivirus and then Malwarebytes as well and nothing is active in my system currently. I have supporter status so I don't need or use Adblock on Nexus. This happens even if I turne AdBlocker on. There ends up being about 6 to 10 or so messages of various .png that have been blocked. Hope that might help.
  23. Yea... I can deal with a slight hold up in order to have safer files. Nice change One question. Would there be some sort of feedback for the delay in downloading a file related to the file being checked out? That might be a nice thing if possible. At least then a user can move on for a short time until it is resolved.
  24. has not set their status
