  1. I do use it for the esps, but I'm worried about loose files that are asking to overwrite files from the other mods.
  2. I intend to use multiple mod packages including Qarl's Texture Pack III, Unofficial Oblivion Patch, QTP3 UOP21 Compatibility Patch, Better Cities, and Animated Window Lighting System Does anyone know the proper order to install these mods to resolve conflicts?
  3. Hm... I don't think so, but I might have. Any suggestions on how to fix it? On Dragon Age the only way I knew of involved editing your stats with their editor built into the sdk app, forget what its called.
  4. Its not an official, its another addon I disabled, and I wasn't sure if the textures and meshes would effect crashing if the esm was disabled. in that case start over from scratch and use FOMM - fallout mod manager - yes this is vegas to install any mod that it possibly can it'll do a much better job of uninstalling any mod than you will by hand. {existing mods that you re-install with FOMM don't get uninstalled so easily} I did start from scratch, twice, and used FOMM from the beginning, just trying to make sure it wasn't a mistake on my part. I'm positive these crashes are mod related, but I think they may have corrupted my save, I will get random crashes when entering buildings, and sometimes it will start crashing when I attempt to save, even starting from a new game. It can crash before the first addon pack adds to my inventory, while the screen is still white.
  5. This is artifacting. Make sure your card isn't overheating. Are you overclocked?

  7. Depends on how severe, it could just be texture filtering causing it. Try turning up or down Anisotropic Filtering and see if it fixes it. If its off, turn it up, if its on, turn it down or off. What kind of video card do you have? Is it a Radeon? Try disabling "Adaptive Antialiasing" in the catalyst control panel which does antialiasing of transparent textures like grass.
  8. Its a stretch but that first error says it couldn't resolve the host name, try clearing your DNS cache, or adding the IP of newvegasnexus.com to your hosts file for a temporary fix. To clear DNS cache Windows XP (or vista/7 with UAC disabled): press windows key + r type "cmd" press enter type "ipconfig /flushdns" Windows Vista or 7 with UAC enabled: press windows key type "cmd" press ctrl+shift+enter to run as administrator type "ipconfig /flushdns" Adding the New Vegas Nexus IP to your hosts file Navigate to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ Open "hosts" in notepad Add "77.72.7.226 www.newvegasnexus.com" to the bottom of the list Save (make sure you save with no extension, not .txt) You will need to run notepad as administrator for Windows Vista or Windows 7 with UAC enabled
  9. Did you have any armors that had bonuses to SPECIALs that you installed through mods? My guess is that you disabled the mod while the armor was still equipped. The same issue existed in Dragon Age Origins where disabling an armor addon while it was equipped would destroy your stats permanently
  10. Ah thanks, I should have looked further than the official ones. Now I just need to find out which addon is actually causing my crashes. Lets say I have an addon that has an ESM, as well as a pack of textures and meshes. If I disable the ESM, do I need to uninstall the texture pack as well or will they just not load?
  11. Hi, I have Fallout New Vegas installed into a non UAC directory, as well as running my FOMM and Launcher as administrator. I also use NVSE. The only way the game seems to let me disable my mods is if I run directly through the launcher, even though the boxes are unchecked in both the launcher and FOMM, when I start the game, all my addons are still loaded. For example, disabling the caravan pack, then starting a new game will still give me all the caravan items. If I run through nvse_loader.exe or through FOMM, it doesn't take into account any changes I made to my active mods. I'm on Windows 7 and experienced with UAC. This is not a UAC problem because the changes are saved, they just aren't reflected in game. Can anyone help me fix this? I'm trying to find out which mod is causing my crashing, but when I disable mods, it has no effect
