  1. Any more tools besides the Creation Kit that would come in handy? Thx for the links btw.
  2. I don't think you understand me. I don't wanna argue whether it makes sense to mod this aspect of the game or not, I just want to get started in modding and I thought this might be convenient. My main question is how I would go about this and if anyone knows good resources to study considering my goal. Aka which programs to download and which guides to read, if you know any. Sorry if my post was a bit missleading.
  3. Hey guys I have a two problems with how the levitate spell works in Morrowind. Firstly it displays the walk animation for the duration and secondly I cannot use my spacebar to float upwards and it's the same with swimming. It's really annoying, so since I didn't find any mods that would fix my problem and I have no clue of modding I decided to ask here for help. How would I get started with my idea, do you know any good resources / guides I could view to get started achieving my goal? Which tools should I download beside the CK especially since I wanted to do animations.
  4. Hello Guys , I use Perma and RND both together (all possible modules) and am rolepalying as a thief. The point is that For the "Inventor" perk to work as intended you need "empty wine bottles" to craft "oil containers". The issue is that RND turns all empty wine bottles into regular empty bottles made for refilling water and as such removing the item from the game which inturn makes it impossible to craft oil containers. Anyone found a fix for this? Currently I'm just console commanding them in but this is a tad immersion breaking for a guy like me and I am also not really fond of switching RND out for another mod.
  5. I can only think of one idea: The ENB effect ist jsut broken / bugged in your preset , to fix this I' recomend disabling the effect and just using "Dynavision" as a fix , works great and has better performance. Not that you need it with a Titan X , lol.
  6. EDIT: I just looked at your Papyyrus log and saw this two f*#@ers "dunBluePalaceArenaSCRIPT" and "MyHouseAutoSortingScript". If I am correct you might not need to do any of the steps below exept step 2.1. Have you done the mind of madness quest? the "dunBluePalaceArenaSCRIPT" is a popular crash regarding this quest and is usually fixed by the unofficial Skyrim patch. And I just even started to see you didnt even have the unofficial patches installed!! Dear god one does not play Skyrim without those. get them immidiently. google them. They exist for All DLCs , Skyrim itself and the HighRes DLC. I would swear to my virginity that this is causing the crash. Also use the Mod I mentioned in step 5 as it seems you have some leftover scripts from other mods like the "MyHouseAutoSortingScript" that are coming back right now to capture and f*#@ with your save game. if you did this there is a high chance you wont crash as your load order is rather tiny compared to the usual standarts. In the rare case of still crashing and not having read step 2.1 and 5 proceed with the guide below which might be helpful in general to read. 1. Pls use spoilers to hide the log , it'll make everyones life easier as ppl tend to just skip loadorder problems on the formum in general and if u can't even spoile it won't increase your chances of getting any help. 2. The thing you prolly did wrong was to install too much in too short a time. 2.1 Before we even start make sure you use any form of the memory patch and make sure it is installed correctly. a lot of crashes are catually due to memory issues rather than a real confilct. google SSME or use the SKSE.ini memory tweak. There are a lot of tutorials for installing those I won't go into detail. make sure it is ABSOLUTLELY CORRECTLY installed before proceeding. you do this by installing the memoryblocks.log (this is a mod you should google and it will help you see how much memory your skyrim uses without the patch you will crash at 256MB cuz Skyrim is gay. With it you may go up to 512MB. The log will tell ya how much you used , just open the log file inside your skyrim game folder called memoryblocks.log with notepad and look at the last number on the left. If it is 256 It is a memory issue not a mod conflict. I know this was a long point but this is like the MOST essential thing in all of skyrim to have the patch installed , furthermore installed CORRECTLY. 3. The Only thing you can do now is to completely get rid of your enb files and deactivate every mod. You will install the enb last later. 4. the only esp files loading now should just be the DLCs and unofficial patches. 5 Run game. If you still crash or experience an bugs use this tool to clean your save ---->( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?) 6. Everything should now be fine and you shouldn't be crashing anymore. If you still do then your save is borked to hell and there is litterly no way for a mere mortal to save it from the dead. You should then create a new game with again only the patches and DLC and go to Riverwood. get in the INN and save. This will be the clean save you will never evey overwrite. Now there is no way you will be crashing. But to be fair after step 5 there is allready little chance to be crashing still and having to do this step. If you didn't need to do this step becuase you didnt crash after step 5 ignore this. 7. Now we begin to install our mods 5 at a time. You may want to add more mods at a time if you don't want to invest much time. But be warned it will be harder then to detect the error. 8. Keep on adding 5 mods at a time till you crash again. 9. You have found the culprit if you cash. Deactivate the mods ONE by ONE and see when you can play again. Keep the mod deactivated for now that caused the crash. 10. Continue until you are done with your loadorder. Still no crashing? Awesome , try to look your false mod up on the internet. Any known confilcts? Yes , No? Maybe you need to let it go to be at least able to play normally. I hope this helped. If you have questions feel free to qoute me and ask. This is the step guide that should eliminate EVRY problem you might have had.oo
  7. Guys you are just wodnerfull! It seemed as the -forcesteamloader did help but my Nozzer suspected my memoryblocks log was broken and I needed to delete it. After installing ENBoost and moving my steam installation out of program files I started the test again. And as a result I was able to spawn 650 guards without crashing and finally crashed as I did try to add another 50. So i checked my log as I was being a GIANT bit sceptic if 600 guards was even possible to be spawned with only 256 MB. And the log displayed my disired number 512 MB till crash. Guys thx alot you just made my day. thx to you too jakeskillman for being polite and having at least had the positive attitude to help me.
  8. Ok tested it out with the -forcesteamloader setting , and tested out how much I could get spawned in before crashing and again after like 400 guards in Riverwood I crashed again with the number 259 MB displaying. I don't get what this number means why 259 why not 256 or my disired 512. Thx anyway for the help but I need another hint as this did not work :'( . Anyone any ideas? :(
  9. Yeah I did it this way too , I have reinstalled PerkkusMaximus then the patch and ran the Patcher while getting some tea and listening to music. When I started the game everything went flawlessly. No need to do anything with the console. And by the way it is not important whichkey opens the menu srsly if he says to use " ^ " to open the console and your key is different it is no big deal lol. Just use your keybinds srlsy. If you want to do it with the console you can follow his step by step that you quoted it is pretty selfexplanatory , isn't it?
  10. Ok , well I don't know how advanced you are to modding and I am not the pro at it either but I try to help you out. I dont mean to offend you so if I mention something you find obvious don't hold it against me. 1. Run LOOT2. Install a memory patch SKSE or SSME your choice3. check if your mods really are compatible with each other by common sense. Check their mod pages yadayadayada.4. Clean everything you may with TESV edit (google it if you don't kow)5. Make a bashed patch6. Install the memoryblocks.log (again google it) and play again the log is stored in ur skyrim folder and tells you how much memory skyrim uses. if you seem to notice that it crashes at a certain point it is a memory problem you can fix with SKSE or SSME7. check if you have enough VRAM. you mentioned some texture bugs. Try to get rid of some of those mods and/or use the texture optimizer tool to make the file size smaler (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/?) That is everything I could come up with there is still a good chance this won't helo you out but at least it is something to start off with. if in the end you still crash there are only two things you can do: The first and most obvoious one is to get rid of ALL mods exept DLC and patches and see if you still crash. If you do use the save game cleaner to clean out your save ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?)start again. Now You shouldnt be crashing anymore. This is the time where you install the mods 1 by one and play a little to look for crashes.RINSE AND REPEAT Hoped this helped a little
  11. Seems like a plan , the forcesteamloader thing might help. I'll inform you if it helped. thx for the advise.
  12. Dude i don't mean to be rude but the point is that I actually have it installed and still crash at 259 MB. Did you even read my problem?
  13. The problem is with PerkusMaximus. the 1.2 installation of it is borked and you have to install the fix for it manualy. You can find it on the modpage of PerMa under the downloads tab right below the main file. look for "TRUE lockpicking fix". Alternitvley you could also revert to Perma 1.1 but I'd recommend the fix as some changes from 1.2 are quite nice to have. Up to you.
  14. Yeah you can delete the folder , this is just a temprary space for the mod files to go before you install them , technicly this is nothing else then your regular downloads folder that you ought to clean every once in a while. Keep in mind though that you won't be able to reinstall the mods in it but this shouldnt be a problem once installed for the first time as you can activate and deactivate your mods anyway. in other words they have no conection the the dowloads folder once installed. just don't delete the folder itself just its content as MO needs to have a folder called "dowloads" for the next dowload you do. Hope I brought some light into this and you understood what I just said. If you have any questions or if i wasn't clear enough with the explanation just let me know as it is most important to UNDERSTAND what you are doing and not blindly follow instructions of some random guy on the internet.
  15. As the title says i basicly crash every now and then when playing my modded skyrim. The catch is that I use the memoryblocks.log to see if I was running out of memory because I suspected that. And Indeed it does , as i checked my log afetr the crash and the last two entries were 259MB both and then the crash ofc. Now pls tell me how to fix this I installed the SKSE.ini memory patch but stil it crashes at 259MB which is quite odd since it should be crashing at 256MB if the memory patch were not installed and with the patch it would in theory even be possible to go up to 512 before crashing. So why am I crashing at 259MB ALWAYS. very odd , and it keeps me from playing hope somebody helps. :(
  16. Yeah guys I need your help because ofc 2 eyes is less than the eyes of the comunity. I recently encountered a bug that when I play Skyrim for a while , usually 15 mins sometimes even an hour , the textures start to get lost. I really do not know what is happening this usually happens upon enering a building or city (Riften being the example) and persisting until I restart the game. I am currently in Riften and to add to my situation when I tried to run JK's city overhauls I even crashed upon entering the city. ( confirmed with JK whiterun and Riften , though strangley I dont seem ti have problems with the other towns). I don't know what this is as my rig is pretty OK. I don't overdo the texture and town overhauls really. I have Skyrim HD full and JK's skyrim together with aMiddianBorn (see modlist) Removing JK skyrim removed the crashes in Riften and Whiterun which and this is really strange didnt happen on a regualar basis. I sometimes got intot he city with no trouble NOR laggs but most of the time I just crashed. I really don't know what I am missing. Here is my setup and things you might find useful: Nvidia Geforce 660 gtxIntel i7 - 3770K proccesing unit16 GB of RAM ( yea it is a lot but I also mod Minecraft so I need it , you know java and s***.)game and mods cleaned with TESVediti use the SSME memory patch ( which I thought would help me out here)modlist: loadorder: if you need any further info that I might have forgotten I will be glad to help you. Help is much apprichiated as it is driving me nuts. :'( EDIT: Just in case someone woders about my modlist + means active - means INactive * means it is some sort of patch and is currently active.
  17. Yeah the only solution if the patch for it doesn't work ( he realeased a patch for PerMa to fix this at least) as It didn't work for me either is to revert back to the previous version and wait for an update. The problem is not at your side this time.
  18. Yeah I know I did it before but it didn't work for me and I crashes as soon as I started to load a save in skyrim , that's why I installed SSME instead. Doesn't really matter both get the job done. OK thx fir the loadorder tip.
  19. Ok guys I have found the error! I installed the Memory Blogs log because I had a bad feeling I might have the memory problem we all know and love which seemed pretty unlikeley because I had allready installed the patch. But here it comes ... I play as I would normally do until I cash and go to the memoryblogs.log file to see if it gives me insight. And here we go I crash at exactly 256MB of RAM. Coincidence? I think not. So now the topic has kind of turned but can you tell me how/ where to put the skse.ini file so it works? I use mod organizer so the file path is different than normal "E:\Mod Organizer\mods\SKSE_1_07_01 Scripts". formerly i have put the ini right in this folder next to the meta.ini but this doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions? EDIT: God I am fixing this myself atm just installed SSME to compensate because I had my porblems setting up skse.ini and all that jazz where to put it. this fixed the 1st instance of freezes and crashes. the 2nd one was actually/ probably caused by leftover scripts. You know I am playing on an old safe that had way too many mods that conficted and I had to get rid of alot of scripted mods back then. I know you should't but I didnt wanna restart my lv 3o char so I just cleaned the save with the savegame cleaner. Well obviously the cleaner cannt clean every thing so I supose I have to live with the ocasional freeze or crash. Thx anyway for all the help. Hope somebody someday will find my little expedition helpful and learns from it.
  20. Ok thx for the advise I will go through my loadorder and sort it out manually to be more reliable. and yes I have the SKSE "plugin" installed and cleaned everything but thx anyway for the suggestion. I think I have enough issues to be fixing for now thx y'all. EDIT: So after sorting my loadorder maually after LOOTing it it looks like this: How does this "new" load order look like?
  21. Thx for the advise but I don't think it is my mod order IU checked it and it seems not to be the problem. Why do you think it is a mess? It is well ordered , is it not? I might ofc be missing something , but i am not a complete Newbie to modding.
  22. thx for the detailed reply , I will go into dowloading MSI to see if it may be a hardware problem , I use two fans so it is again similar to your setup and yes I tried using the convenient horses script latency checker. I had the same idea and after uninstalling some of the script heavy mods I really wanted to have but didn't really notice , you know I just can't decide what stays and what has to go if there was no limit I'd have like a bazillian mods :D. Coming back to the point I was trieing to make .. lul ... the script checker was stable at around 40ms which is great considering the 65 I had before. Crashes DID go after that DRASTICLY but you know they are not completely gone. I don't mind them being there as they are somewhat seldom though frequent enough to annoy me but they aren't still completly gone. That is why I asked , but It seems if you really wanna mod your skyrim to this extend there is a high chance of this happening. Ah and before I forget are you using ENB or/ and texture replacers together with your mods? would it increase the amount of crashes if I installed an ENB or texture mods? I mean I have solid 60 frames and Skyrim isn't exactly the best looking or most demanding game of all time for today's standards. And thx for the MSI idea didn't think of that. Good idea and I'm gonna try this as soon as I get the chance to.
  23. Funny thing is I don't even have any of those currently active...
  24. Ok so I am fairly advanced in modding but of course I am no Robot so I am prone to do mistakes. I have my ~180 esp files active and experience frequent crashes. The thing is they do not seem to be related to anything really. What I have noticed is that sometimes when there is a lot of stuff goin on like when I am fighting 3 vampries and 2 dogs in whiterun while guards help me it often causes a freeze. I also frequently crash when opening the UI like my inventory or just hit "esc". Worst case scenario was when I fought vampires in Solitude and needed to quickly chunk in a health potion to survie and crashed. And it repeated each time I opened the inventory or to much was going on. So obviously being the sly fox I am i thought of a mod conflicting with another in a way i don't want them to causing me to freeze or sometimes crash. (more often it is a freeze) Information: I use the SKSE .ini tweak to increase memoryI used LOOTCreated a bashed patchCleaned every ITMs and dirty edits using TESVeditNvidia geforce 660 gtx16G of RAMIntel Core i7 3770KSo the only thing I am aware ofn that might be causing me to crash is a possible conflict. Maybe I have overlooked something so I need you help. If you notice a conflict that might be causing me to crash tell me. No matter how small it might be I want to know if it can be avoided or In just have to live with it. MODLIST: EDIT: "+" means currently active "-" means currently disabled LOADORDER: Every Input is much aprichiated! PLS HELP MEEEY!
