I realize this is a bit of an old post but I stumbled across it while trying to fix this exact problem and wanted to reply with the solution that worked for me. In my case it was because I had "The Rockwell Descent" installed and hadn't installed the update patch. im installed the update patch how it told me to, putting the file into new vegas data folder, and it didnt fix the door. Do i need to start a new file?
