  1. Steam says 159 hours. Wow that's about 110 hours more than I played Oblivion... However it is not really true that I actually played that long. In order to gain some perk points I „auto“ grinded some skill levels. You know things like crafting a 100% reduced costs on regeneration armour and then blocking the mouse button and being hit none stop for X hours strait by a low level monster in order to max out heavy and light armour as well as regeneration. Anyway I still played it a lot.
  2. TBH I can't stand the complexion/pores. It is way too over done for my taste.
  3. And here I thought this about something substantial... silly me...
  4. Good question and I don't know but I doubt that your sneak level is the only factor in how hard you are to detect. It makes sense for it being only one number in an equation. After all it is also influenced by light condition, armour type and movement.
  5. I actually like them too. It never gets old for me as a thief/assassin to cut peoples throat from behind. It is kinda mehhh to me when I sneak up and just one hit with a normal attack.
  6. No you don't. Crafted gear is always better and Deadric and Dragonscale/Bone is craft only. Why is crafted gear always better? - Because enchantments make it possible to boost the item base stats. I have a crafting set I only use for crafting and it gives me 160% better stats on crafted items. No loot can compare to that.
  7. Hhmm tbh I'm not hyped for your water replacer. From what I noticed with most (all?) the high resolution water replacer is that the wave animation is usually on speed. I'm rather happy with the water texture I currently have. It is not as busy as the original, it fits everywhere and does not suffer from speed syndrome. Your foam replacer however could be interesting. My current setting if interested: http://s7.directupload.net/images/111123/n9cgj48x.jpg
  8. I always read about these settings but did someone put them to the test on the long run? It says the arrow starts below the cross hair however at level 68 with 100 archery and a Deadric Bow I have to aim lower (!) than what I want to hit. For example for a headshot at 20 meters I have to aim somewhere around the chest. I can't really remember how it was on lower leveles and starter gear but I think I had to aim much higher. Then at first I could not hit a target far away. I tried to assassinate the mine owner in Dawnstar with a bow and positioned myself outside town at hill. I shoot 20 arrows and the NPC was still alive and kickn. Once down I saw my arrows passed thru the model. However now at high level I can shoot people that I barely even recognise on the screen. Could this all not just be level and gear based?
  9. Honestly I feel a little bit the same. I mean when you only craft from time to time your crafting level sucks and the loot will always be better so what’s the point of it? And when you focus a little bit on the crafting (and enchanting) you crafted equipment will always be better than the loot making the loot rather pointless (aside from making money). I think there are four (or more) parts to the problem. One is that you are not able to craft consumables like arrows. Yea I know there is a mod now but that's a mod! - Something like that should have been in the game in first place. And not only arrows, because these are basically for archers, but something like throwing knives, traps or other stuff other classes could benefit from as well. That would have allowed to craft “useful” stuff to get the level. Instead you are stuck crafting junk like Iron Dagger or buy the level from NPCs. The second part is that the stuff I craft is the same as the stuff I find as loot. It is even worse because due to my crafting level the stuff I craft is always better than the stuff I loot. Some kind of random mechanism that allows for exceptional loot and crafts that is not influenced by the players skill levels at all but passively by basic level could break this cycle. That would allow that I still find stuff better than my crafted gear and by luck craft gear better then usually. Also if you remove the influence of the craft level on the items statistics you pull the craft items down to the level of loot. With all the effect stacking this is IMO necessary for game balance. Number three: The upgrade path is linear and in the end there one item to top them all and no level restriction is enforced. You e.g. go from Hide to Fur to Studded, Leather, Elven, Scaled, Glass and in the end Dragonscale. If you had the craft level and parts you could wear Dragonscale at level 1. The loot table compensates for your level. You won't find a glass armour at level 5, but you could craft one! (No you can't but you know what I mean) - It would have been better to enforce a level restriction on the equipment e.g. you want to wear Dragonscale? - Well you have to be level 36 (random) to do so. The linear upgrade path could be broken by my last point: Last but least the enchantment system contributes to this cycle. Enchantments done by the player at a high enchantment level are always better than the enchantments of loot (also because you can always have two effects and not only one). There also rarely unique items. There are only so many different enchantments and they lack a certain verity. Take a look at hack and slays like Diablo. There is basically a infinite number of loot due to the random magically effects of it. Now that would make loot interesting! - Allow the player to craft a and produce very good enchantments but the real deal should still be loot! It would also force the player to a decision: Do I really want the extra +Def of the Daedric Armour or should I stay with my current Steel Armour that has something like this: http://arvraepe.be/justanotherblogname/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/diablo-3-item.jpg
  10. That's the normal way to enable LAA and was basically the very first "patch", so no this does not work. I use the Skyrim 4GB without problems.
  11. I honestly never bother with the active effects menu (everyone in this game tells me I look sick...). But to boost my magic skills I crafted myself a few “XYZ magic cost reduced 25%” items. And once I equipped 4 all spells of the school where magicka free. So IMO it works as advertised.
  12. Why not test this yourself? Just craft some cheap junk with stacking and one without and compare your damage rating on the weapon. Judging by how broken the system is I would say yea it will work. Noticeable difference? - Probably depends on how much you stack...
  13. Afaik Daedric Bow is the best. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Weapons There is one called “Karliah's Bow”, but that one does not exist afaik. It could be that this is actually the “Nightingale Bow”, at least that one does exit and is missing from that list. But in that case you have to do the Nightingale Quest chain at a very high level. My Nightingale Bow is certainly not as good as my Daedric Bow.
  14. Interesting. One question though: Could it not be that this hue was choosen on purpose?- You know to make the image colder. Anyway I for once would like to see what you can do and how the game will look in the end. I think that was rather uncalled for.
  15. Well animals at least try to flee at low HP. And tbh I don't really know what else to expect of most of the warrior type enemies... But one thing I fully agree an and that is the bargain point. Once you have basically defeated an enemy some beg for their life but as I see it there is no real point to it. You can't just leave them alone because they will regenerate and attack again and you lose the opportunity of loot nor can you talk to them. (Or am I missing something?) So the “best” way to deal with them is to execute them. It would be cool if they really would surrender and you could rip a few coin of them for their life.
  16. Yea happened to me a lot at first (about every hour) after I installed the ENB patches it stopped however. Of course it reoccurred once I put in some high resolution textures but the LAA flag took care of this. I'm now without crash for days.
  17. Nah I'm not using the console atm. I love my achievements  Will do once I've completed the game.
  18. No since there is no romance involved. It just seems kinda meaningless tbh.
  19. Ah GEMA saved me some seconds of my life again... thanks guys I love you too! And will never ever buy music in my life again
  20. Slightly off topic: I've done the quests to get the house in Solitude and became Thane basically instantly up on completion. However the quest to help 5 citizens of Haafingar never got removed from my quest log (instead I now helped 6/5...) and Jordis never got her own room. At least I guess that “unused” room in the basement is for the Housecarl isn't it? Is that a known bug?
  21. I helped the Empire. Many of the Stormcloaks are racists and I hate those. The Empire might currently be a puppet of the Dominion however it is the only puppet big enough to stand up to it. And in another sense Ulfric is helping the Dominion by splitting the Empire so he is a puppet too.
  22. When you perform a shadow warrior you enable yourself to 100% sneak attack for about 2 ~ 3 seconds. You can dual wield daggers and with silent assassin you get 15x damage during a sneak attack for each dagger. They will also stack with the one hand weapon perks which grand another 2x multi and with the backstap ability (another 2x multi) of the dark brotherhood gloves, and of course you can add another 4x 40% more one hand damage with enchanted items, that is even without using the fortify enchantment potion exploit. Then of course you can add two 31 elemental damage enchantments per Daedric dagger which in my case already has 54 power. Too bad the shadow warrior time limit is too small for a power attack that would grant another 50% bonus but is prone to fail. Anyway I can one hit ancient dragons like that... All that effect stacking is kinda OP...
  23. They patched DRM in after release? How nice of them... :verymad:
