  1. Ever seen Book of Eli? I think it does raiders pretty well. When you're hungry meat is meat in the wasteland, whether you kill a molerat or a person. However, I thought Fallout 3 did really go overboard with the hanging bodies all over the place.
  2. One day we'll see a proper Shadowrun game again. It took a long time for Post Apocalypse to return to pop culture, Cyberpunk will be back too. As far as bringing it to F3 goes, I feel it would be disappointing to do so. Porting Cyberpunk into the Post Apocalypse just doesn't work, you NEED that atmosphere.
  3. Its certainly a nice pistol. Theres only really one Cavalry revolver around and I'm not much of a fan of it. I swear though, I've seen a similar pistol to this on nexus sometime though...
  4. This is really too vague to help you. General rules though: Fallout and DLC's in order of release at the top of your load order. .esm before .esp Download FO3Edit and change the file name to FO3MasterUpdate and run it. It will go through your list stopping at a conflict while fixing the mods so that they won't conflict with each other. These things should give you an idea. Other then this, you're on your own.
  5. Why can't you use the console? This confuses me, is it that you don't understand the process or is there something wrong with your console?
  6. Not a problem and I'm happy to help if it makes the wasteland a better place ;) I like the idea of what your doing. I could just imagine how the rangers procured a vertibird.
  7. Its been pretty twitchy all day actually. Usually rights itself after 5 minutes or so.
  8. check FO3nexus for a mod called "A Note Easily Missed" ok, its kinda old, but that author has been busy making many more like it and they are all great . . . particularly like that cooked meat pistol . . . I'm actually looking forward to getting into his Point Lookout mod, haven't played it through yet.
  9. Perhaps you can find what your looking for in http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1391 The poses are incredible and varied. If you can't find something you want in there, I'd be surprised. There is also this if you need action poses http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9857
  10. Well to be honest I use a body replacer. I might be one of the few who can say that it is for purely cosmetic reasons. I really do find the vanilla body really lacking in both the males and females, and if you take a look at the few screenshots I have up of my character Appleby... its hard to deny that the Cali body gives a more trim look. Naked people aren't a big deal to me, I have the blessing or curse of being a professional photographer (and not your usual hack that claims such things). Unfortunately, I know for a fact that out of all those people who downloaded a replacer the majority didn't do it for the texture/proportion. I'm willing to bet even less of them downloaded a male body replacer after saying 'The underwear just doesn't make any sense in the wasteland'. When asked why, the usual response is 'I don't want to look at naked guys'. Things like that skull balaclava and armors that are more the property of a 2000's FPS at least aren't a glaring problem. But god damn if I see another micro swimsuit or a mini skirt that is pretty much a belt I might just kill everyone in Girdershade.. all two of them.
  11. Armor: Dragonskin Tactical (Black Camo) Though I don't recommend FOOK2 highly, pretty much that exact mask/helmet combo is worn by some talons.
  12. Yesterday when I was talking about this to the girlfriend I pretty much hit the imageshare and pulled a few caps up. Her immediate response was 'It's people living out their sexual fantasies and fetishes.' I suppose thats part of it. But you might be right on this, most gamers just take the game at face value, not even really heeding the setting. Its the wrong crowd. I was once really into Nine Inch Nails. Read an interview with Trent when he was talking about going from obscurity to his success with the Downward Spiral and 'Closer'. He said he started seeing the college crowd and the jocks in the crowd and a part of him just wanted to scream out that 'This isn't for you!' I suppose in a way thats how I feel about Fallout.
  13. Halo isn't even good. The story is poor and the gameplay is just building on the games that came before it (games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark) Halo was simply the first next gen game that managed to do the FPS genre right for the new systems. If you look at it though, the gameplay isn't really all that different from successful FPS games that have come before it. I'm not attempting to troll you either, don't get me wrong. Happy that you enjoy Bungie games but honestly, they make games for adolescents. Can those sort of games sometimes be alot of fun? *ban me* yeah they can. They do however get old real quick. They are simply pick up and play games to do when your friends are over (or you just want to shoot something)
  14. Its a pet peeve and I think discussion worthy. There are so many barbie doll cloths mods out there. Outfits that are lore breaking... weird things that stand out like a sore thumb. I can understand resources like the Warhammer 40k stuff (though I don't like it myself) that aim to make the game into something entirely different. But to those who use them, and I don't want to point fingers at any one mod but you know the ones... why do you do it? What does it possibly do to enhance your fallout experience to by your very presence in the game shatter the atmosphere of the wasteland? To stick out like a sore thumb as if you got teleported to the Capital Wasteland from some gothic tea party or a leather and lace sex session? To pop out of a Final Fantasy game and appear among the scavengers and survivalists. I see screencaps day in and day out of people using these outfits but I can't help but think there are hordes and hordes of people out there who are just missing the point of post apocalyptia. I wonder if they just want to stare at something obnoxiously pretty or if its honestly a mental escape from the dismal and harsh concept of a post apocalyptic world. I guess in the end I'm just reaching for an answer. I have been watching movies like Mad Max and A Boy and his Dog along with every other movie in this genre I could get my hands on since I was a boy myself. The answer I guess I'm looking for is that if you have no real want to submerse yourself in the post apocalyptic experience... why do you as a player play this game?
  15. It does exactly that so you should be okay (the symptoms you described are what was happening to me before I started using it a long time ago). I've never done any sort of master restore.
  16. I would pay for that not to happen. Also I'd pay double that now Bungie's signed with activision... HEIL KOTICK! Seconded. Bungie doesn't make good games.
  17. Well, they are two mods that are trying to do the same thing. The way FOIP works with it I believe is that it weighs it so that you get the most benefit out of both mods, picking and choosing from weapon damages and all sorts of other things (Instead of just going with the combat system of one of them). That leaves ALOT of room for collisions and bugs.
  18. Well, all the ones in the mod community are ported over from hair mods in oblivion. I am not aware of a single hair mod developed exclusively for FO3 Scary, isn't it? Considering just how much there is out there in just about every other area. If anything reflects the pain in the ass of creating new hair meshes, its that.
  19. Killzone is pretty much right. Download Fo3edit Change the name of FO3edit to FO3MasterUpdate Run it. As long as it finds no conflicts it will fix things up for you. Do this every time you instal a new mod. If it DOES conflict, you'll need to look at the list and what it caught on and reorganize your load order.
  20. Hit the print screen button on your keyboard. You'll find the screen caps in Program Files - Bethesda - Fallout 3
  21. Two recent Bioware titles are Dragon Age and Mass Effect. They will also be doing the upcoming Star Wars MMO.
  22. Thats probably more likely. I find the effort of FOIP commendable in trying to get those two mods to work together, but FOOK2 is way too hodge podge for that to ever really happen.
  23. OR! You can make one! I actually did this before, its incredible fun. Use RTS to create an outdoor prison city and then top it off by using http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9497 for prisoner control. Set myself up as the warden, had Arkansas, Tenpenny, Eulogy Jones and that hockey gang there, to name a few. Death would have been easier on them then I was.
  24. There are literally no good male hair styles created by the mod community. I'd hoped to see someone brave enough to make some thick dreads for male and female (something that is REALLY lacking in F3) or other low maintenance hair styles. Its a sad day when the base hair styles in Dragon Age are more appropriate then F3's hair styles. Its too bad I won't support illegal mod rips, because some of those hair styles would be great ported into this game. We can only hope that Obsidian gets a little more creative with hair in F:NV, but I doubt it.
