MimiTheAlchemist
I was playing final fantasy tactics today, and I got an idea for a cool mod. In FFT, when you get to a certain point in the game, you can send members of yourparty on jobs. I thought it would be so awesome to send your follower on those boringmiscellaneous errand quest. Maybe this is how it could work. Player: I need you to do a job for me?Follower: Okay, what job do you want me to do?Player: I need you to fetch some argonian ale for this beggar in WhiterunFollower: All right, I'll see you when I return. Your player walks into a room and somehow disappears. Then a couple days later, they return to where you left them. Their chance of finishing the job would depend onsuch things like level, stealth, courage, and other variables. Player: How did the job go?(success)Follower: The job went great. Here is the reward I received. (setstage to last stage)(failure)Follower: Sorry, the job didn't go as planned. I was this close to the ale, then Saadiacaught me snooping around. You'll have to do this one yourself. (quest stage stays the same) It would be cool if you have UFO or other mods like that to send each of your followers to a different job. Of course, this mod may be an impossible task. Edited May 27, 2013 by MimiTheAlchemist
Foulfrost
While not a bad idea in general, this would only be useful for repeatable quests, which are optional and have very little reward. I don't quite get the point of this one though, most of those quests aren't grindy. It's like having a cake and then order others to eat it for you, why'd you do that? :P
