All of my past and current saves are corrupted, even ones where I made a new character

Every time I try to make a new save i get a corrupted file. This first happened when I tried SkySa for the first ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31390 ), played for maybe three or four hours and decided I didn't enjoy the game play. So I switched back to CGO with the same mods I was running on a earlier character, and ever since then all of my saves have been corrupted. Even saves before SkySa when I was still running CGO. I have done a complete uninstall of every mod and a clean wipe of my Skyrim SE but every file is still corrupted, and I am out of ideas as to what could be doing it.

Are you saying you were using CGO, and decided to try SkySa, so you uninstalled CGO, installed SkySa and loaded up your current save and continued to play, or did you start a new game?

Same question for when you switched back to CGO, did you start a new game, or did you try and continue on your current save?

No, I started a new game on all of them because I know both are very script heavy so I wanted a clean start so they both ran well.

By a "clean wipe" of SSE do you mean deleting local files through Steam? if so you should create a vanilla game. Deleting local files only does exactly that, deletes local files. By only doing that you leave many files behind which are then loaded when you reinstall the game.

 

When you uninstall and reinstall with Steam and still encounter the same problem which caused you to uninstall your game in the first place this is often the problem.

 

I am not saying it will fix you problem, I have found when you are dealing with mod interactions there are no guarantees, but it is worth a shot if nothing else works.

) since it was my first time doing a clean wipe, but I do remember deleting the files from the steam folder.
