Dorigon
GreetingsI'm starting to use the GECK and following simple tutorials to get familiar with it.My problem is that my Mods don't work, I select them in "data files" but the changes I've done don't appear. I tried updating New Vegas, desinstalling and reinstalling without updates... nothing works.I've tried something simple:I pick any NPC and put it in dr. Mitchell's house, I save the changes, name my mod "wip.esp" and I select it in Data files. Even like that the problem keeps happening, my changes can't be seen.Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Is a problem of the GECK? or Fallout? or maybe it's my fault? Slikpik
Wait, so when you say you select it in Data files, you mean the Data files you can get to through the launcher?

Slikpik
You see, what you're doing is just picking a random NPC and putting them somewhere. They have packages which control what they do. The reason they're not their is because they're using a package that makes them do something elsewhere. Say you take a quarry worker and put him in goodsprings, his package is to roam about the quarry, so he'll leave goodsprings and head back to the quarry
