Persistent CTD in armor workbench despite corrections

For several days I have had a CTD in the armor workbench when I scroll between items.

I have already tried several solutions and the problem persists. I have updated AWKCR to version 8.6.0 in order to correct the possibly faulty keywords. I have also reinstalled armorsmith extended and used LOOT and FO4 EDIT. I have checked my loading order and the completeness of the files with Steam but the CTD continues.

Do you have any idea? I've been searching for days without finding an effective solution :wallbash:

I assume you are running some mods. I also assume that you do not mod games very often. If my assumptions are incorrect then the following may not be helpful.

If you are running mods, there may be a mod conflict. Start a new vanilla game under a different character and save directory and see if you have the same problem. If you don't, then you know there is a mod conflict. At that point, you will need to add a mod or two at a time and see if they play nice. It can be a long process depending on how many mods you have and what the mods do. Hopefully you are using a mod manager. A good mod manager should alert you to a conflict, but don't always assume that it's recommendation for which installed mod goes after the other is infallible. You need to understand exactly what the mod you have added is intended to do. If mod B is meant to change the color of a workbench to pink and mod A makes the workbench clean and new and mod C is a framework for modders to add things to a workbench. You probably would want to order the mods as CAB unless the mod author ("MA") of each mod has different instructions.

There are plenty of helpful tutorials on YouTube re: load order and the like. Google them.

It would also help you get some answers if you posted your mod list so people can see your load order.

Good luck.

EDIT:

I forgot to add that if you do find the culprit (the conflicting mod) depending on the mod, just uninstalling it may not solve your problem in your current game as some errors can be "baked" into your save. It is never a good idea to remove mods in the middle of a game, especially mods that are scripted. By changing load order, sometimes that will fix your problem. You need to check the MA page to see what he/she recommends with respect to removal of their mod mid-game.

Hello, thank you for your help.

I have already tried this technique of testing the mods one by one and unfortunately it did not solve the problem even by re-saving with a new character. Especially since the problem occurred without me adding any mods

I finally found the solution by installing Addres Library, DEF_UI, Buffout 4, VIS-G item sorting and its patch for AWKCR. Then I sorted the loading order of the plugins with MO2.
Problem solved, no more crashes

Glad you solved it. Eventually I want to get away from AWKCR, VIS-G and and DEF-Ui. There are many mod authors out there that have created better solutions. Fall UI and all of its companion mods are amazing and so lite. AWKCR is full of bloat. Eventually these will go the way of the dinosaur unless the mod authors update them and make them more efficient. If you are not running a lot of mods, you should be OK with those, but eventually, they will strain your system if you keep adding mods.
