  1. In my most recent game I have been seeing some weird graphics glitches where buildings, trees, etc. look like the attached photo. As soon as I get closer to the building or tree, etc., the image is normal again. I'm thinking it is an ini setting I messed with but I cannot remember what I changed. I have not installed any new mods other than a companion mod. Any idea would be appreciated. Attached is an example. https://i.imgur.com/bfkPhww.png
  2. Check out ECO (Equipment Crafting Overhaul).
  3. While I do not use the mod, I have heard that Functional Displays can be problematic, not sure why. I would highly recommend HZS Easy Home Builder. Perfect mod for beds and it has so much more. Just an amazing mod. It is no longer available on Nexus but it is available on discord. Do as HeyYou suggested and have Vortex sort the load order. Use Loot initially to find out of the mods are clean. Vortex uses Loot for load order but I use it as a stand-alone initially to see of I am missing something or if the records in the mod have duplicates, ITMs etc., then you clean the problematic mods with F04Edit. You will find that the main game files also need to be cleaned.
  4. The Ghoul domestic support payment was late. Seriously I have seen this happen many times and have not heard that this is a bug.
  5. You should check your speed multiplier in console (if using a PC). This happened to me recently out of the blue (mone was set to 3.00). I used player.setspeedmultiplier to -50 and that had me moving normally (1). I used "set" instead of force in case it was a temporary glitch. The next time I loaded the game after entering this command and the speed multiplier was back to normal.
  6. The mod was created by Reginald, Dynamic Cinematic Lights. It is available on his Discord channel under "The Ivy League" pinned under downloads tab, #Dynamic-Cinematic-Lights. I am not very Discord savvy otherwise I would give you the address.
  7. Sounds Bethesda-ey to me. Shadows seem to be problematic unless you set them to Ultra and then your FPS tanks. Can't win. Can't imagine playing this game on a 34" monitor as I play on a 15" laptop. Congrats!
  8. The immediately preceding poster is correct. You cannot un-ring the bell. The save is corrupted and even if Resaver cleans up the save, more than likely the game will eventually bork. If you have a save right before deleting the mod, reinstall the mod you deleted and resume your game from that point. Depending on the mod, you may still be able to complete the game unless the deleted mod is simply not working with your load order. Good luck.
  9. Very nice article. I would, however, add that I would not use Fallout 4 config tool as it is unsupported. Bethinin is better. Better yet, unless you know what it is you are changing in your ini files, don't change it. There are plenty of on-line sources out there that explain what specific ini settings do and can't do. Check those out before making any changes. Finally, just because someone uses a certain ini tweak does not mean it will work for you. I have used recommended ini tweaks from many experienced modders, including Xrayy (whose work I admire) and a recently recommended tweak made my game worse, not better (it was a shadow tweak). Luckily I use bethini and I was able to easily revert back to my previous ini (always back those up before making changes). Modding expands the game to horizons never envisioned by the original creators, but it comes with a cost.
  10. It has to be either mod related or a borked download of the main game. You'll just have to play with half of the mods installed and see if the problem continues. If in that 1/2 mod load the problem stops, then the problem is with a mod in the other half of the mods. Eventually, you may be able to find the culprit. Also, load order may be the cause, the fixing of which can be hit and miss. Use FO4edit and load all mods and then right click on any mod on the resulting list on the left side and then sort by conflicts. It will bring up conflicts and you just have to go through all of the red ones (not all of those are actual conflicts if you meant for one mod to supersede another ones changes. there are plenty of videos on how to look for conflicts, though, not as many as I would like showing how to fix those conflicts. Goof luck.
  11. This is off topic but I thought I would add my experience with a lap top, namely, the game does not like a hot processor or video card and it will stutter, sometimes badly. The worse culprits are those really thin laptops (what I have). In the winter months, not an issue, but come summer (it gets very warm here) I have three fans aimed at my laptop just to reduce stuttering. I have done everything undervolting seems to work the best). It does not help when many manufacturers of laptops limit access to advanced features. If you are moving to a new PC may I suggest having the game in your root directory (c:\) so Windows and other virus programs don't mess with the game. An exact copy to the new hard drive should do the trick, though I would still "reinstall" the mods with the mod manager which should not take that long since you will have them all already in the staging folder or backup folder, whatever it's called. Good luck and happy gaming.
  12. Prude is an apropos title. Even the natural act of breast-feeding can be frowned upon by some state laws! The first time I traveled to Europe (Greece) and did the island hoping thing my prudish upbringing stifled my enjoyment of all the European ladies out there. By the end of the trip, I was in a balcony showering in front of all my female roommates (it was the only shower in the room and for $5 a night, what do you expect) without giving it a thought. It is a shame that decapitating someone in a video game is deemed acceptable and yet nudity is not. It has gotten so bad that pictures of your baby's first bath can be tagged as child pornography by a photo processing company and reported. The world seems to be moving backward and not forward, though, I hope this is simply a cyclical historical pattern that will move more towards acceptance than rejection and regulatory prudishness.
  13. Y You need to enable the categories in the holotape that DIY places in your inventory. By default they are set to off.
  14. I think you need to electrify the item first next to the power source, then move the object to the desired location. This should work all the time.
  15. I am assuming that you mean some things are not showing up in your build menu. If that is what you meant, try using Settlement Menu Manager https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24204/ This mod helps repair menus that nay have become corrupted. You can also look at what mods you added that may have impacted your menu and disable them and then enable one at a time and see which one impacts your workshop menu. If you find the culprit, try loading it in a different spot and see if that helps.
