byDesert
Hello, I'm basically tring to make a new plugin that replaces every friendly npc's outfit to my custom outfits (farmer, settler, residents etc.) but I'm unsure how to do it. There is a mod I know that somewhat does this exact same thing using different outfits so I kind of reverse engineered it to my own needs (basically changed the clothes the mod uses to my own clothes). The thing is that that mod does a bunch of other things I don't want/need so I'm thinking of making an outfit replacer myself and deleting that mod. And that's where the problem occurs, I have no clue how to create such a plugin. Not from scratch at least. So if you know any guides or tutorials, please post them here so I can check them out. And obviously any advice is welcome
aurreth
NIF Swap. Open the clothes you want to replace in CK or FO4Edit and change the original model to yours. Save as a new ESP.
RoNin1971
The above suggested NIF swap would be all you need to do. Doesn't even require a mod/esp for your personal use. Just your clothing nifs to replace the original. You can do so by putting them inside your fo4's data directory. Using the same path and filename as the original you wish to replace. (of course if not compatible this can get you all sorts of bad results, like CTD's or floating/invisible clothes etc.)
