NPC Pursuit (Or lack of)

Hello All. Is it just me or are enemy Npc's reluctant to chase you outside of whatever building or vault in which you may encounter them? They always seem to stop at the door. I miss that.

I remember being chased(out of a tomb) for miles in Oblivion. It just does'nt seem to happen as often in FO3.

Is it possible to change this?

Your thoughts?

I think this is an intentional setting in the per monster AI - monsters almost never follow you inside a building, but humanoids will open doors and chase you for a while. Monsters seem to break off chasing you if you can stay out of range of an attack for a while, every time they hit you it seems to reset - at the start of a game I've had a wild dog chase me all way from near Megaton down to the wharf near the memorial before finally losing interest, and I've never seen a Deathclaw break off pursuit till I entered a building.

For a bit of fun run backward and plink away with a bb gun on an enemy and lead him into a base or raider camp, then use a stealth boy and go find a corner to watch the carnage. The biggest fight I've managed to engineer was 4 raiders, 2 super mutants, 3 talon mercs, and 2 yaogi - there were some raider and talon dogs too but I think they died before I got everyone there.

I like the change in how enemies pursue, having a troll or other stupid monster in Oblivion open a door to give chase always kind of irritated me. I can see them breaking it down, but a door handle would just plain mystify them.
