KiCHo666
There's one exceptionaly bad ground texture in the center of the Novac, where rooms and Dino are, that looks very blurry and low res.Can someone point me to right texture path so I can change it manually or can someone tell me if there's a mod that fixes it (I don't mean Poco bueno or other hi res replacement)? Zooee
Sorry about the necro bump, but I claim to have found a solution. I encountered this issue myself recently, not only in Novac but also inside of the Reimann Cave added by the "A World of Pain" mod. The zap command did manage to remove the gray area, but it reappeared when I reloaded the save file from the main menu. What does seem to work is the markfordelete command. Simply open the console by pressing the ~ key, or ^ and ° on certain keyboards, basically the key to the left of the 1 key. Then, click on the ground. Make sure you don't accidentally select a rock or something. For me, the gray texture displayed the code 0d0120ce, but that might be different for you. Once the ground is selected, type "markfordelete" without the quotation marks and press enter to confirm the command. Finally, press the tilde key again to exit the console. Unlike the zap command, markfordelete does not remove the object right away. Either create a new save file or enter and exit a nearby building for a quick auto-save test. Quit to the main menu and load the new (auto-)save file. You will notice that the gray area is still shown in the thumbnail but soon you will see that it's gone for good. If you suspect that this method caused a significant problem in your game such as entirely missing ground which causes you to fall through the map, all you need to do is to load a save file created before you used the markfordelete command. However, I do not expect this method to cause any harm since removing the ugly ground in Novac did not cause me to fall through the ground underneath. The object references in New Vegas are very precise after all. Remember the Reimann Cave I mentioned? The pieces of ugly ground that were even blocking a campfire were still there because they had their own object references so I had to repeat the markfordelete process a few more times. Sorry if a solution to this was already posted elsewhere, but I didn't find anything so I felt the need to post in here instead. Happy scavenging, couriers~
madmongo
If you have too many mods installed, one of the symptoms is that you can end up with these weird low-res blurry ground textures all over the place. Merging some of your mods so that you have fewer in total seems to fix it for a lot of folks.
