Tidus44
-48C (-54F) here this morning with a high of -38C (-36F) today. I had to put on a long sleeved shirt when I went outside to barbeque my steak and potatoes for lunch. It's a bit nippy, but the sun was out enhancing the albedineity of the snow. albedineity; whiteness

Tidus44
Ah, jury duty, an ineluctable situation. Been called, but never served. ineluctable: impossible to avoid or evade.
Aurielius
It was droll listening to a prosecutor ask me if I had ever served my county as was my duty as a citizen....my response of "yes I think two tours in SE Asia might qualify" I should have remembered 'KISS'..cause that garnered me a foreman's slot, which is mercifully completed today. Droll- wryly amusing
Tidus44
I hope to never see the inside of a court room again - ever. 615 times in 23 years, the last 50 or so as a "friend of the court" - if I ever have to say "m'lord" or "m'lady" again, it'll be too soon. leitmotif: a dominant and recurring theme. Tidus44
Not that I don’t like warm weather, but it is really hard to ski and snowmobile in Florida and I do like winter. And not that I don’t like the US, but I find it incommodious (uncomfortable, inconvenient, particularly due to being cramped/crowded) for my tastes.
