Tidus44
Stiricide; the action of icicles falling from a roof and crashing on the ground. I would think many on the east coast are going to experience this over the next while. Huge blizzard here today, 70+kph winds and a ton of snow. Temperature is dropping and should be in the low -30’s by tomorrow am. So much for snowmobiling this weekend – between clearing the driveways (I am one of three on the block with a snow blower and most neighbors are elderly - I'll be doing a lot of snow clearing this weekend) and the dangerous roads, won’t be time or worth the risk to go. Tidus44
hiemal; occurring in or pertaining to winter. A downside to working with people who have children - their children get sick from other children at school and they in turn bring the sickness with them to work and spread it around. Given the unseasonable cold here, the spread of sickness is being compounded by everyone staying indoors more. We have a record number of H1N1 and just general influenza here. I played roulette (didn't wash my hands often enough or at the right time) and got caught. One knows they are ill when they are no longer afraid of dying, but afraid they aren't going to die. I am a bit surprised it is the 8th of January, but at least I still have a pulse.
