Blackofheart221 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hello, I have the steam verison of Fallout 3 GOTY which I upgraded to the latest update. For some reason when I start my game with mods using nexus mod manager the game will crash as soon as the game loads up http://i39.tinypic.com/2rolr13.jpg. I'm trying to use the mods Weapon mods Kit and Revamped Leveling.
M48A5 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 What else are you running in the background? Did you ever have the game running without mods? What is your load order? What are your equipment specifications?

And my equipment specs are:AMD Dual-Core Processer A4-3305M 2.50GHZ.AMD Radeon HD 6480G (512 MB)4 GB DDR3 Ram And the only backround programs I usually have open is STEAM, Teamspeak, and or Firefox http://i39.tinypic.com/nnuxpc.png.
BlackRampage Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Disable the following plugins: Weapon mod kits - FWE....Revamped Leveling - FWE Both are compatibility patches for a mod you do not have.

M48A5 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 WMK requires FOSE http://fose.silverlock.org and you need to launch the game through the FOSE launcher. Since you had the game running without mods, it should be very simple to get it running with mods. Also, do not have anything running in the background, you don't need them and it just uses RAM that can be used in the game.

(I'm not 100% sure if this will work for you, but it certainly won't hurt) First, you'll need to open your "FALLOUT.INI" located in "My Documents\My Games\Fallout3" Find the following line: bUseThreadedAI=0 Change it to: bUseThreadedAI=1 Add another line after it and insert: iNumHWThreads=2 This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze. *If the game still crashes, even after you've added these, change "iNumHWThreads=2", into "iNumHWThreads=1" (both without the quotes, mind you) P.S. I DID NOT COME UP WITH THIS MYSELF, just found it HERE
